As Jody B was in Glasgow for the day, I thought this was the best way of seeing everything with the added bonus of being able to hop off to go drinking in the West End. Buses depart from George Square (but I believe you can get on at any of the stops) and it takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to do a full loop of the tour - taking in some of Merchant City & the East End, the river and the West End. It's £14 per adult (you can save a measly £1 if you book online) which I think is a little steep actually - it was better value when that ticket got you two days of entertainment. There's commentary as you go around - I thought our guide was just "ok" - some of the pubs he pointed out as recommendations aren't places I'd recommend anyone go, let alone a tourist to Glasgow and sometimes he'd forget what he was saying and just trail off. It was kind of entertaining, but compared to other guides I've had on the bus previously, this guy was just average. We stayed on the bus until Kelvingrove and then got off to wander around the museum and then go drinking in Finnieston. It's a good way of seeing Glasgow but like I said earlier, I'm not sure that's worth £14 per adult. Maybe we should've just had a taxi drive us around.

We went to the store front (after a days drive to get there). It was closed. Now what? We got up early and walked in the rain to go to the shop. The person behind the counter said "oh ya, I know about that one." We had emailed them asking what the status was-again no response. They hadn't sent us the email because we owed them the balance. Could they not have contacted us to share that info? We live in the US, so calling would have been very expensive. We paid the balance and ran to get on the boat. Better communication please! The tour itself was lovely, but it was stressful in the planning stages.

You couldn't get staff any nicer here, I've always found them very helpful and polite, the office is ideally located at the sea front where all the shops are, and only a few minutes walk to the ferry terminal.
