We thoroughly researched and toured several schools before enrolling her at THMS in April 2023. Mr. Amir, the former owner, was a great leader. Ms. Shireen, the current head of school, is equally wonderful. Despite facing challenges like every organization, the school has experienced positive transformations. Ms. Shireen, Ms. Uzma, and the incredible teachers have prepared our children for kindergarten. There's been an increase in open communication, and more visibility into the curriculum. The school offers fun activities during school hours and some after, and they always include parents and families whenever possible. Our daughter has cherished every teacher, including her afternoon teachers during the extended day program. We haven't experienced any harsh treatment, thankfully. While it's understandable that we might pick her up sweaty from the playground due to Georgia's hot weather, I don't expect teachers to keep all the kids' shirts tucked in or wipe their faces constantly. If that's the case, I'd provide face wipes and leave a note for the afternoon teachers. We've also never picked her up wet because they always help change her if she has an accident, even if she spills water on her shirt! We provide change of clothes and they bag up the wet clothes for us. I deeply respect Ms. Shireen's challenging job. She remains positive and I always see her at school with a smile on her face. Montessori philosophy doesn't sugarcoat developmental truths, and Ms. Shireen and the teachers must tell parents where their kids truly are. They spend upwards of 40 hours per week with them, unlike many of us. I appreciate their hard work and am excited to see what our daughter learns in the next two years.

The way the staff treats the children is far from nurturing or aligned with the Montessori philosophy. During my daughter's time there, we noticed multiple red flags. She would often come home with her clothes soaked or improperly dressed after using the bathroom -- shirts not tucked in, pants half pulled up -- showing clear signs of carelessness. Her face was frequently red when we picked her up. At first, we assumed it was from face paint or playing, but after reviewing camera footage, we realized it was actually from how harshly the teachers were wiping her face. This is completely unacceptable. The food handling practices are also alarming. I personally witnessed a teacher carry five chicken nuggets from the kitchen to the classroom in her hands, even though she was wearing gloves -- no plate, no tray. When serving the food, it was literally tossed onto the children's plates with no care or kindness. Most upsetting of all is the teachers' overall tone and treatment of the kids. The environment is cold and impatient. I witnessed one incident where a child was crying loudly during mealtime, and the teacher yelled at him, grabbed him, and forced him to sit on the floor simply because he was playing with his chair. That is not how any child should be treated, especially not in a school that claims to follow Montessori values. Considering how expensive this school is, the lack of care and compassion is unacceptable. We were willing to sacrifice our hard-earned money for what we believed would be a safe, nurturing, Montessori-style environment. Sadly, what we experienced was the complete opposite. When I brought all of this to the attention of the school director, Shireen Ali, and we reviewed the camera footage, she showed zero empathy or concern, even though everything I described was clearly visible on the footage. Her only solution was to transfer my daughter to a different classroom -- nothing more. That's not acceptable. These teachers do not seem properly trained, and honestly, it doesn't appear that anyone on staff is actively monitoring those cameras unless a parent specifically asks. We ultimately withdrew our daughter because we no longer felt safe leaving her in that environment. I'm sharing this so other parents can make an informed decision -- what looks good on the surface at this school can be very different from what actually happens behind the classroom doors.

They also close every day with mildly inclement weather if public schools are closing - even if there is no other reason to do so. And you will never be prorated for the days they are closed.

His teachers are not only loving, attentive and caring, but also very dexterous and amazing with the babies, while striving to meet babies' individual needs. My favorite part about the institution is the individualized care and communication. No matter what is going on, the teachers are extremely attentive when I discuss Orion's needs for the day, everyone at the front office knows Orion and welcomes my questions and input during growth spurts and other challenging times. I never feel rushed, and truly feel like he is in great hands. I was not sure about daycare option in the beginning, but now I feel like I would be doing a disservice to my son, if he didn't go to Goddard, with all the stimulation and age-appropriate interaction he gets. He is always happy when I pick him up; he is very sociable outside of daycare and as also very adjusting about being fed by different people as also with napping in different environments. His developmental skills are constantly growing as well. Peachtree Corners Goddard and its wonderful staff are a very fitting new component in our lives now.

Nia, the assistant director, gave me incorrect pricing information not once, but twice. She also told me that the enrollment fee would be waived. Because she had already given me inaccurate information earlier that week, I specifically asked if she was sure, and she confirmed that she was. When I received my first bill, it was a little under $500, which immediately confused me because there was supposed to be a $250 discount applied to the first week. I asked the director, Renee Milton, why the bill was still so high after the discount. She told me it was because the enrollment fee had been added. I explained that Nia had told me the enrollment fee would be waived. Considering the multiple pricing errors beforehand, I felt some type of accommodation should have been made. Nia clearly needs additional training, and the communication between management is poor. Now onto the director, Renee Milton. She was extremely unprofessional throughout my experience there. One morning while dropping my children off, a teacher was running late. Renee said to me and another parent, "If it was up to me, I would get completely new staff." We were both visibly confused. As a parent, that is not something you want to hear from the person running the daycare your children attend. A few days later, I saw my oldest child doing something inappropriate on the camera system, so I called the school to address it and speak with my child. Later that evening, Renee brought up the situation and I mentioned that I like to monitor my child's behavior. She then responded, "You need to watch the cameras for these teachers as well." Again, I found this incredibly unprofessional. Regardless of how management feels about staff internally, those conversations should never be had with parents. The final issue involved my account balance. Earlier that week, I spoke with Renee over the phone and explained that I would pay the balance on Friday. She agreed that it was fine. Then, a day or two later, she messaged me through the parent portal reminding me to pay before drop-off, and I responded confirming that I would. Friday morning, I paid the balance before bringing my children in. While dropping them off, one of the teachers told me, "Renee said you can't drop off your child unless you pay your balance." I was absolutely upset. First, because I had already communicated with Renee multiple times about the payment. Second, because no teacher should have access to or be discussing my personal billing information with me. When I addressed it with Renee, she seemed more concerned about finding out who told me than understanding why the situation was inappropriate in the first place. At that moment, I decided my children would no longer attend this daycare. This was honestly one of the worst daycare experiences I have had. Renee and Nia are the main reason I would never recommend this school. It is hard to feel comfortable leaving your children somewhere when the director openly speaks negatively about staff members to parents. That being said, I do want to acknowledge the teachers who were wonderful to my children. Ms. Smiley was amazing, and honestly one of the main reasons I stayed as long as I did. Ms. Houda (I may be spelling her name incorrectly) was also wonderful with my 4-year-old and treated her with so much kindness and encouragement. Ms. Rochelle was incredibly sweet as well, and I truly believe she cared about my children. Those three teachers deserve recognition because they were the bright spots in an otherwise disappointing experience. The school has potential, but the current leadership is what will continue to hurt it.

It seems there are lots of staff who have been there for a long time. I really appreciate the caring culture of the preschool. The daycare is clean, organized, fun, and feels intimate (even though they have a lot of kids). My son has been in the infant classroom for 8 months. He started when he was 2 months old, and after meeting his teachers, Miss Jamie and Miss Hamida (who has also worked at Today's Kids for 18 years!), I was not nervous at all. The classroom is bright, spacious, safe, and homey. My baby has fun and his teachers are so loving. They have always been supportive of any specific feeding/sleeping/tummy-time schedule. The infant classroom has a maximum of 6 babies at any one time, so I found it to be a lot calmer than other daycare centers where the classroom had a maximum of 12-16 (albeit with more teachers). Drop-offs and Pick-ups are smooth and efficient. The entrance requires a key code to unlock the door, and a password-protected computer application is used to check in/out the child, and it is so easy. It takes about 10 seconds or less. The driveway has a loading zone, which is also super convenient. The front desk is always attended, and the people sitting at the desk know every family, so they call over to each classroom to request the teachers to start getting each child ready to go. For my baby, this usually means Miss Jamie will pack his bag with his bottles and his daily chart and give him one last diaper change.

I have not received my deposit, which has been owed to me since August. The daycare has cited bankruptcy as the reason, but since then there has been little to no communication, no updates on the status of my funds, and I have essentially been ignored whenever I follow up. After doing some research, I learned that I am not the only one affected. Other families have also not received their deposits, and there are even teachers who have not been paid. This raises serious concerns about how the situation has been handled. It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way after years of loyalty and reliability. If you are considering enrolling your child here, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting your money--or your peace of mind--with a business that is clearly struggling and failing to communicate or take responsibility.
