Some people don't realize that working in childcare requires a lot patience you have to learn how to deal with different situations when it comes to the children. You never want children to fear you in a classroom because they will never trust you. It is very important to get to their level and talk to them and not just yell and think they are going to listen to you. Working with Mrs. Ruth and Mrs. Gina they have helped me so much and they help me become a better teacher everyday. Working with Mrs. Ruth is a great experience she may like things a certain way but that's okay because you may not know what to do and she will come and give a bunch of ideas and work you until you can figure out what works for you. Mrs. Gina is also a great experience to work with because she's always willing to help you anyway she can. I called this location and was told there was availability. I didn't want to risk losing the spot so I told the director I would like to tour and put a deposit down. I couldn't find any reviews online or on FB so I asked a local community page for reviews. I was shocked when one told me 'the teachers know where the blind spots are for cameras' and shared a couple incidents where children have been left outside accidentally, there have been physical altercations, and more. There were also 2 parents I spoke with. Apparently, even in the Florida heat - kids don't get offered water through out the day? That's just crazy. When I called peacocks plume to rescind my application due to neg reviews I've seen, she didn't seem to mind. Just to hold a spot you have to pay 150$ - no refunds.
