Me and my sons come here every year to spend some quality time away, and to visit family. My older…read morekid has enjoyed the football camp since he was 10. It motivates him to keep his grades up each school year. Early on it was a great confidence booster having him walk all over the campus to and from his sessions, lunch, and social events. They have a great facility better than many colleges I'd say. He is turning 14 this year, still loves it and continues to want to go, and we will. As the person spending the money, I'll say this; after everything is said and done, the money that you'll spend here, you can certainly get more individualized, one on one training, that would probably offer better results. What this is, at least in my case, is an experience for my kid that he'll remember. He's made friends here that he keeps in touch with and learned some valuable concepts as well. The football camp here is essentially like every other football camp as far as most of the drills go. But instead of being on some dirt field in a city near you, you're at the beautiful IMG Academy! And it is pretty!

The IMG Academy experience is not what everyone thinks it is. My daughter has attended a 1 week…read moresummer volleyball camp there for the past 3 years. My husband, who is always an optimist, would sign her up despite the hiccups. At IMG, our daughter was always placed with groups who were beginners despite our daughter having 9 years of volleyball experience and attending volleyball camps at UW Madison, Borinquen DD, numerous local clubs, and being a part of her school's volleyball team, which made it to the state finals, with our daughter being an active participant. Last year, after our daughter was placed incorrectly, I emailed the head of volleyball at IMG, and he apologized for the error and changed our daughter's placement. He was actually very nice and fair. However, this year, the head of volleyball, named Brooklyn, came up with excuses for not changing our daughter's placement. She indicated that the coach felt her placement was correct, even though she was the only senior with 9 years of experience, and that the coach told the girls she knew nothing about volleyball. After reaching out to Brooklyn a second time by email, she never responded. I want to encourage all parents to read reviews before committing to IMG, because I believe there are many other clubs and camps that cost significantly less yet offer a 100 times better experience. By not answering my email, Brooklyn demonstrated that we didn't matter to her and that once you have paid, there is no turning back.

Many pros and cons to this place. I went in to inquire about a membership and swim lessons. Met Ms…read more Cynthia at the front desk and she was so sweet and helpful. She answered all of our questions and more. She also let us take a tour of the place. We ran into Hillary at the pool who was also extremely helpful and nice. We had so much in common which made me feel like this was the place to be. The actual facility could use a facelift, but because of the people we met, we are going forward with joining. I wish there was an outdoor track and a better room for the kids to play in. I will come back to update about pricing and quality once we've been there for a bit.

I…read morecome down to Bradenton to perform every year and have had a YMCA Nationwide membership for about a decade. have never had an issue with using my membership at other YMCAs, but this time the Y let me know that I could come in for free the first time, but after that I would be charged 6.00 per visit. The front desk person was very helpful when I inquired further and she explained that since most of their clients are visitors, their equipment was getting used but they didn't receive any of the membership due money from visitors and it was really affecting them. While I appreciate this, it sounds like there needs to be more of an internal discussion within the YMCA nationwide program. We discussed some of the possible options and the easiest, though still inconvenient one, was to suspend my hometown account and then start up an account at the Bradenton Branch. However, there didn't seem to be a way to bypass the enrollment fee and so I would have to pay that and then ultimately close the membership down after my three month contract in Bradenton ends in January. It was one too many hurdles to hop over to join a gym I have already joined. While I respect that this YMCA needs to make changes so that their facility can continue to prosper, I am disappointed that a program the YMCA touts as "Nationwide" isn't really. The ability to go to YMCAs all over was one of the major reasons why my family opted to join.

The best way to put it, the director is Trunchbull from the movie maltida. For the amount of money that you pay here, the customer service should be excellent. The turn around of teachers is extremely high. The director is to blame. She treats them horrible. She are all scared to clock in and out a min late or they get reprimidad. This is a center where young children go and the director doesn't have a single inch of warmth to her. Avoid yourself the headach, the awkwardness or not being greeted, and the constant inconsistencies of teacher due to her poor leadership.

The school has made a lot of improvements over time since we first started and seems to be headed in the right direction. While the turnover of teachers was initially a concern for me, it seems like Kiddie Academy LWR has recently done a better job of retaining some good teachers and administrators. The school has also improved their curriculum and the kids seem to be learning more. My daughter's reading readiness scores jumped over 20 points higher between the start and end of VPK at this school! While I think they can still focus more on reading and math readiness, they seem to be improving the curriculum every day. My daughter also has made amazing friends with the other kids and strong connections with her teachers. Overall I recommend giving Kiddie Academy a chance, as the school is just getting better every day and seems committed to constant growth and improvement. My daughter loved it!
