Please see my pictures! I was so disappointed. The Sequoia main check in area is very nice and the grounds are well kept. Inside is a much different story. They are desperate for an upgrade and simple maintenance. Cracked wood, behind the toilet was water damaged. Honestly this had all the ambiance of a Motel 6 in the worst part of town. I don't know if they have a maid staff I I did not see them at all. What I did see was nasty water stains on the ceiling and missing tiles in the bathroom. I was afraid to sit on the ledge/bench in the bathroom as it is coming away from the wall. I was shocked as this is absolutely not the experience I have had at any Disney property. That being said the check in area is very nice and the front desk staff were wonderful. I don't believe I could ever bring myself to stay in this hotel again.

My husband and I stayed here with our baby on our recent trip to DLP. I'm a DVC member and the only 4 options offered to DVC members to use their points are the Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Newport Bay and Sequoia Lodge. It should be noted that there are 2 other official Disney hotels, but they are not options with DVC. When I called DVC to see if anything was available it was this or Disneyland Hotel and we could stay here for 2 nights for less than the price of 1 night at the Disneyland Hotel. Thus, we chose Sequoia Lodge. We took the Magical Express Bus from CDG for $25 a person and it dropped us off right in front of the hotel. We arrived at 1pm and happily our room was ready. We were on the 3rd floor of the Yosemite Lodge. I don't know what it is about DVC and DLP, but every time I go I seem to get a room about as far from the park as possible. When I stayed at Newport Bay we were the absolute last room furthest from the park and in this case the Yosemite Lodge was the 2nd furthest building from the park, but far closer to Disney Village and the theme parks than my room at Newport Bay two years ago. So I was super happy our room was ready, but it smelled awful, like the place had been doused with lemon cleaner. Also, although we had requested a portable crib it was not yet there. We dropped off our stuff and headed into the park in an effort to adjust to the time change. When we returned the baby crib was in the room and the lemon cleaner scent had somewhat dissipated. The beds were comfy enough and the room had a bathtub so it was easy to bathe the baby. I wish the room had been bigger. I'm used to small rooms in Europe, but my experience has been that Disney rooms whether in France or Hong Kong were very large. My room at Newport Bay was far larger. The tv was also quite small and I hate to say that that lemon cleaner smell never totally went away. Finally, when I stayed at Newport Bay breakfast was included with our stay, but it was not here. Overall, I found the location to be better than Newport, but not as good at New York or Disneyland Hotel, but in all other aspects I preferred my stay at Newport Bay. It may closely resemble the Wilderness Lodge in FL or Grand Californian in CA, but the quality of the rooms would make it more of what we refer to as a moderate resort rather than a deluxe.

My wife and I are Disney fans, so we decided to stop by Disneyland Paris as part of our honeymoon trek across Europe! We decided to stay at the Sequoia Lodge based on its value and distance to the park. We stayed on Disney Vacation Club points rather than paying cash, so out of pocket expense was minimal ($95 fee). We were excited to experience another Disney property, but knew not to expect much... even then, our expectations were too high. Commitment to high-quality, consistent service is a Disney trademark, but that wasn't the case here. The issues began at check-in. The front desk staff informed me they couldn't check me in without a voucher. I tried to explain that I made my reservation through DVC, but they didn't know what that was. Thankfully, they eventually found someone that did and we were issued our room keys. Before we could head up to our room, though, we were told that we MUST make our breakfast reservations for the following day or we wouldn't be able have breakfast at all. So we committed ourselves to a 7:30am reservation time. What they failed to tell us at that time was that the cards they issued us was the payment for breakfast, as breakfast was included with the room. What they also failed to mention was that both restaurants were identical, so there was no advantage for choosing one over the other! It was also mentioned that to dine at any restaurant in the park, we'd have to have a reservation as well... The property itself is laid out in a confusing pattern. The hallways seemingly never end and it took us a full 15 minutes just to get to our room. It was located on far end corner of the property with a view of a quiet pathway and trees. The room itself, like the rest of the resort, is decorated in a fashion that supposed to evoke a lodge in the Californian redwood forests. In the room, this also meant Bambi themed artwork. While large by European standards, the room was very sparse with a single queen bed, an LCD TV, a table with two chairs, a tiny closet with a safe, a single vanity, a toilet and a shower/tub combo. What was even more disappointing than the sparse nature of the room (felt like a cheap motel), was the fact that the room came with no toiletries at all, save for a single bar of soap. Thankfully we had brought our own! On the plus side, we were left a 1l bottle of water, as well as some chocolates and a letter congratulating us on our recent wedding. The night before our checkout day, we had the concierge setup a taxi appointment for the following morning. They did, but never provided confirmation as promised... even more disturbing was the fact that when we went down to the lobby to check out at about 6am, it was deserted! No staff or even a security guard were present at all. Thankfully our cab showed up on time or we would have been stranded! Given the $800/night rate at the time we stayed, I'm glad we used DVC points for this stay. I would never pay to stay here and doubt I'd ever return to this park or any of its hotels.

We enjoyed the Mira Costa at Tokyo Disney. This trip we stayed at Disneyland hotel ( there are more hotels around, like Santa Fé hotel and Cheyenne hotel ) but Disneyland hotel is the cream of the crop. I have never seen such a beautiful and luxurious hotel. The Disney influence seems minimal, no hidden Mickeys all over the place. They offer a complimentary breakfast buffet, a complimentary tea time, and soft drinks and teas and coffees ( espresso, lattes, cappuccino..) soft drinks too at no charge. The minibar in the room is filled of complimentary snacks and drinks too. The rooms are tastefully decorated, plush towels furnished. The hotel staff is very competent, knowledgeable and helpful. Everybody speaks French but they are also eager to speak English. I got lost the very evening and the staff helped me get back on track. The rooms are modernly furnished. The lights turn on automatically when you approach ( sensor sensitive ). So modern and energy saving. There is a swimming pool but we didn't use it. The Disney princesses and Mickey Minnie characters also appeared at breakfast and throughout the day in the lobby. Service is competent, prices of rooms here are also high. Splurge in Paris, you totally deserve it.

The staff was nice enough to let us go through the cast member security line. Everything was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and informative. I would suggest getting a physical room key for a souvenir and in case your phone battery runs low. There was a pool and hot tub. Two restaurants and a coffee shop. A really nice gift shop also. I didn't have time to check the Spa out but they did have one on site. We bought the character breakfast which was really pricey but I'm glad I did it. The seafood buffet was actually terrible. The lobster was freezer burnt and the serving utensils were mixed in some of the gluten free items so I had limited choices. There was a lot of confusion on what was gluten free and they handed me a large book written in French to decipher. I won't ding the hotel for their buffet though. The hotel was right next to the park and we got a one hour early entrance. Especially nice hotel and lovey experience.

The quintessential French Countryside experience. The weather was blissful and restful and the water fountains helped us sleep so deeply. Front desk mastery was performed by Cecilia. She gave an incredible overview of resort and breakdown of what to expect within this amazing property. Among three species of water fowl ( Including Canadian Geese ) there a tribute to Claude Monet complete with statue. The Monet Garden has been designed to tribute him and reads as a true impressionist painting complete with overgrown bridge just like his signature paintings. There is the perfect amount of alge in the small pond that mimics the impressionist's burst strokes. It's beautiful to walk thru this garden and enjoy actually being 'inside' one of Claude Monet's inspirations. The Le Bistro in the lobby has a phenomenal lunch menu until about 2pm and then opens back up for Dinner. Sabawoon was such a great server and very welcoming during our first lunch at the property. I recommend the pasta with white cheese sauce or the cheese pizza as a nice welcome meal for you. Upon being granted early our room ( a large studio in building 4500 ) We discovered it looks over Le Lac and the ducks were amazing to be with a large family of Canadian geese 'honking' to welcome us. This bedding is to die for a some of the best sheets and pillows I have ever experienced. We slept deeply here in the room and really loved waking up to a peace that only the French Countryside can provide. It was wonderful to also request white robes to lounge in and enjoy. Back at Le Bistro Bar the very fun and kind Dragana was amazing to visit with each night of our stay and was well versed at handling all sorts of crowds and guests no matter what. We looked forward to our times here at the bar after our days in the Parks. This is also a Gin Bar with many types of gin and goblet like glassware to honor these incredible drinks in. The front desk staff was incredible and like Cecilia the very kind and very articulate Sitharan helped me with booking the transit between the hotel and Disneyland Paris. Here is my concern and area for improvement. This tram takes a picking up break from from 20:00 to 21:10 - this one hour and 10 minute break is hurtful to those who are looking to leave the park early and needs at least two or three other pick up times when crowds are wanting to exit the park and waiting. Many of the patrons were forced to take Ubers and got angrier to pay high Taxi costs . Also in perfect transparency, the lobby bar closes early at 22:00 and the marketplace minutes afterwards. So if one needs a night cap or two this put pressure on the bar staff such as the kind Sabawoon and wonderful Dragana. Upon leaving I was impressed with Ceclia once again and she remembered our itinerary and wished us Bon Voyage for our travel day. Incredible to remember us after checking in so many people at this busy property. I look forward to booking a stay again here and even longer for the fabulous sheets alone! Thank you everyone, you made our stay amazingly magical! Merci!

The rooms were huge compared to our other Paris hotels. The theming was nice (Disney without being over the top) and felt like a mix between a yacht club and an elevated cruise experience. It is certainly not as grand or impressive as moderate or luxury Disney World hotels in Florida, but none of the Paris hotels are (besides the Disneyland Paris hotel). Regarding food and drink options, the Captain's Quarters bar was a nice option for late-night drinks after a long park day. However, the hotel does not have a grab-and-go breakfast or coffee option that we could find (something to consider when planning your day). I would recommend staying at Newport if you want a clean and up-scale hotel walking distance from the parks (10-15 minutes walk to the gates).

I had heard mixed things about Newport, but wanted to give this place a shot because of its cute theming. Man, I should have listened to the negative reviews and switched to another hotel. To give context, I have stayed in numerous Disney hotels, so I feel I have a pretty decent baseline on which to give this review. So let the magic begin. Not! So let's first start off with the lack of welcome we received when we got there. First, you are welcomed with having your luggage go through an X-ray machine by two security guards joking around, who aren't even watching the machines. Yes, I feel really secure after watching that. With all that going on, not one person greeted us when we actually walked into the hotel, as you see at other Disney properties in the US. When we walked in, we were greeted by a guy with red hair, beard, and Mushu from Mulan on his shoulder, who gave us a smarmy laugh when I didn't have my booking number memorized or on hand when we walked up to reception. Sorry, Bub, but we just got off an 8 hour flight (with no sleep) and one hour bus ride in which we used to nap, so we didn't have it readily available yet your majesty. Even after I retrieved the number, he still wouldn't let us get in line to check in, and just ushered us to baggage check-in instead. When I asked him if we could see if our room was ready, he again gave us his signature smarmy chuckle and told us, " Of course a room is not ready, people want to sleep in". What does that even mean? It was 10:30 a.m., and I have checked into other Disney hotels a lot earlier than 10:30. So this guy sucked to say the least, and the funny thing is, the days we were heading to the park at 7:30 a.m., we saw people getting their paperwork after getting checked in early to their rooms, and they weren't part of the Compass Club (the extra charge you can pay to have specialized treatment at the hotel). This individual was not just a jerk, but also a liar. So we move on to baggage check. We waited in the long line, watched two guys argue over who was in line first, and had to deal with two rude lifeguards with unhelpful comments to say when we were shifting our stuff around to our luggage, so we didn't have to carry things to the park. The baggage check guy only gave us tickets for four of our seven bags, and when we came back later to get our bags, we were met with a rude attitude from a guy named Igor, who got upset when we told him that we were missing 3 bags and he wanted to argue with us. So Igor sucks too. Also, to the two rude lifeguards, you suck, too. We then hit up the parks, and unfortunately, it was hotter than you know what on the days we were at Disney. As the first day went on, we still hadn't gotten our room assignment yet, and it was close to 7 pm. When we returned to the hotel, we had to ask someone at registration what room number we had and to get our room keys. She was shocked that we hadn't received our room yet. Before I tell you about the crappy room, let me first explain part of our frustration about our room. I had asked for a first floor, closest to the lobby as possible. What we got was a 3rd-floor room, as far away from the elevators as possible. I mean, going down 5 different hallways and the last room in the hall closest to the end of the building. So when we had to leave the room for the lobby, we really had to leave with some intention. Now for the room. The room was decent size, but absolutely no air conditioning in the room. We had it jacked to 60 degrees, and still would not cool down after being in the parks (with hardly any air conditioning or fans in the parks) all day. We called down to the reception, and they said they would send maintenance. That didn't happen. We called 2 hours later about the room, and they were dumbfounded that no one had checked on the air conditioner yet. They said they would call back. Spoiler alert: They did not call back. So needless to say, our room never cooled down the whole time we were there. Overall, there is no counter service restaurant here, the ice machines are tiny in the hallway that is meant to serve over 150 rooms on each floor always out of ice, and the lobby bathrooms have zero air conditioning going through them, even during a heat spell. The only highlight of this place was a bellhop named Julio. One of the friendliest staff members there. Other staff members could learn a lesson from him. Overall, heed the warnings of others on Yelp. This place is horrible, with mostly horrible and inefficient staff. If you notice, most of the people posting negative comments are long-time Disney fans who know what they are talking about and have enough Disney hotel stays to give honest reviews of this place. We know what is expected of a typical Disney stay, and this place ain't it.

Then ask the front desk some general questions since it was our first time to Disneyland Paris. The staff out front would not let anyone into the lobby that was checking in that day. We told them that's fine but we just had general questions we wished they would have let us get answered before we left to the parks. And the ride experience itself can vary! We ended up in different elevators and got two very different versions - both unlike the old California version or the one at Disney World. Also, instead of the elevator peeking out at the park multiple times, you only get one outdoor glimpse during the drop sequence.
