We stayed here with a GrabOne voucher for two nights, including continental breakfast, transport to…read moreand from the crossing and packed lunch. Sometimes, with these kind of deals, the hotel turns out to be not very nice, and they need the vouchers to bring in business. Not so with this place - we were pleasantly surprised with almost every aspect! One small gripe is that we were given a twin room without asking, and we would have preferred a double as we're a couple. By the time I realised this had been done, though, there were no doubles left. My bad for not checking straight away. That said, the room was really nice - very clean, with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. There is internet, but it's not free - $4 a day for unlimited access. There was a TV, but a) it was on the wall in such a location that you'd have to sit in a cupboard to watch it, and b) the colour was all wrong and we couldn't seem to fix it. The biggest problem by far, which I imagine all the rooms suffer from, is thin walls/windows. We could hear everything going on in the room next door (and yes, they were having sex), not to mention the conversations of everyone walking past the front door/bathroom. But other than that, all good. There are two communal hot tubs and a communal kitchen - we didn't make use of the hot tubs as they were pretty full most of the time, but we did use the kitchen which was well equipped. The breakfast was fantastic - smoked meats, cheese, toast, condiments, muesli, yoghurt, pastries, croissants plus juice, tea and coffee. My husband was a bit miffed they didn't label the yoghurt/cottage cheese bowls, as he accidentally got a bowl full of cottage cheese and muesli as he thought it was yoghurt. The staff were really friendly and cheerful, and seemed happy to be there, which was really good. The packed lunch for the crossing was great, there was a choice of ham, salami or vegetarian wrap. The transport was fine, plenty of pick up/drop off times to choose from. We would definitely stay here again!
