Horrible customer service. They don't respond to emails or calls. They never sent me my item!

Sell items they dont have in stock. Very frustrating. Dont answer phone so have to message to find out what is going on days later only to receive a response it is out of stock for months and they can hold my payment and send it when its available. NO THANK YOU!! read more

I needed spoons and salad forks to complete our incomplete set. Distinctive Decor had what I needed, at an excellent price. I ordered them on the 17th and they arrived just 3 days later. Brand new and a perfect match for our set. Great service! Thanks!!! read more

I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else. I purchased a couple of floor mats not the cheap ones either, on 3/7/2021. The order says it shipped but no tracking number on my order. I have left 3 emails, 2 phone messages and no response at all. I guess it's time for me to contact my bank. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

They have an automated phone system, and I even tried to "make a purchase" and no one answered. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. Do not purchase online! read more

Horrible customer service. An item arrived damaged. Sent them pictures that same day. they were supposed to send me a shipping label to return item and either replace or issue refund. Instead they ghosted me. 4 emails have gone unanswered. Afraid the item will get get broken/more damaged and want to ship it back. Nobody will respond. Finally got disgusted and disputed the damaged item with American Express. Horrible customer service. My order was over $1400 and even then they do not have the courtesy to respond. Buyer beware, awful company, awful or rather non-existent customer service. I would give no stars if possible. read more

I ordered an item that was marked in stock and immediately received a confirmation email. 2 days later I got an email that the item was backordered. I emailed and left voicemails for a month trying to cancel the order without receiving any sort of response. I filed a complaint through PayPal. Then I immediately got an email response from Distinctive Decor (and a refund). Seems like it could be a nice store in person, but I don't recommend online purchasing. read more

I ordered two Vases from them since they were cheaper than Walmarts online store. I was hesitant because I've never heard of them. The initial process was easy and I got my email with tracking info right away. The issue I had was with how the two vases were packed, as seen on pictures. No fragile sticker placed either. The female vase arrived broken and I emailed them to get a replacement on a Thursday. Didn't hear back so I called the following week. Tana assisted me and she was polite and assured I would get a replacement. Which after 4 calls and several photos sent, I eventually got a tracking number. Main reason for the score is that it wasn't a pleasant experience with a new vendor. They need to improve the online communication, with tracking and status etc. Received the replacement today, nicely wrapped this time. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Never got my order after a little more than 2 months I filed a dispute claim with PayPal and was granted a refund through PayPal as DD were impossible to reach by phone and I got NO response to emails. Horrible company . read more

Purchased a ceramic sculpture on dec 8 in plenty of time for Christmas. After two weeks of waiting attempted to call store for an update twice. Each time was told I would receive a call back and never did. Also never received the sculpture. AWFUL service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE. read more

I should have read the reviews prior to placing an order with this company. I ordered two pieces of glassware. They were shipped promptly. One of the items was, however, defective. I competed the exchange paper work that accompanied the order and returned the defective item. The item was delivered to Distinctive Decor. As of today, I've left several messages and sent multiple emails. It's been about 13 days and I have yet to hear from the company regarding my issue. Do not buy anything from this company online because they have the worst customer service that I've been subjected to. read more

I received the wrong item as part of an order on April 2. I used their contact form and email to advise them but 4 emails and 1 phone message during hours they say they are open didn't get a response from them. Other items nice enough. If they aren't working during the Pandemic I understand but they need to put notice on their website. Pretty disappointed. read more

I ordered several Spode Christmas Tree items on line...their website says quick delivery...well three weeks later NO receipt of order...they also say they will not charge until items are shipped...they charge immediately...after 4 days of calling both the toll free number and the local number I was unable to reach anyone...I contacted PAYPAL with the situation and they have refunded my money...this business is promising and not delivering...I am in business and would NOT treat a customer like this...they stink and will never get my business ever... read more

Do not order from this store. They get your money and then announce the next day that your item is backordered. I tried calling them to buy a more expensive item that they may have had in stock or cancel the transaction and they would not return my call. I could have purchased the same item from any of a dozen other stores that all have it in stock. Now they have my money and PayPal won't stop the transaction that would allow me to take my business elsewhere. Deceitful business practice. Apparently there are others who have had similar problems with them. I wish I could give them zero stars. read more

They have not charged me yet, but I will be watching my bank closely. I would not recommend ordering from here. Terrible experience. The products I ordered were not in stock, but nothing on the website product page or immediate purchase confirmation email makes mention of that. I received an email the day after saying that it had been back ordered. I have 5 calls and numerous emails into them and no response so far. I'm looking to confirm when the order will be fulfilled, but no one is responding to calls or emails. Stay away! read more

I wish I had seen these Yelp reviews before I ordered from Distinctive Decor. Apparently they're still pulling the same thing in 2020 as they did years ago where they list items on their website as in stock when they don't actually have them. I ordered four items, received two, and got zero communication about why I didn't get the full order. After more than a week, I emailed them to find out when the rest of my order would ship and I heard nothing back. After a second email, I heard that my items wouldn't be available "likely" until the fall (I placed my order in late June) and would I be okay with that? Whaaaaaa? I've NEVER had a company try to pull something like that. I said no, and to let me know when the refund would be processed. I gave them two stars for processing the refund a few minutes later, but that's the only reason. read more

I have the same problem that others have reported. Ordered an item as their website showed that it was in stock (it was out of stock at all other well-known retailers), but after placing order I received an email that item was on backorder. I immediately requested that order be cancelled. Three months later, I received a charge on my credit card and the items were shipped to me but I no longer needed them. I ordered a lovely child's tea set from Distinctive Decor. It arrived carefully and tightly packaged in layers of cardboard and paper. Right away I was impressed that they had chosen recyclable materials to package my items. Everything was so well packaged, each individual plate and saucer and cup, etc and all arrived in perfect condition. I have already cut up all the cardboard for recycling and the tea set is ready for my granddaughter. read more

I placed an order for the holidays in the last week of November. Got notification that the items were backordered several days after order was placed. Tried to call, but voicemail says there is no phone customer service available at this time so emailed to cancel my order and sourced items elsewhere. Emailed again a week later to cancel order, as I hadn't heard back. Then I get an email several days after that (almost three weeks after initial order was placed) saying items have shipped, after I requested to cancel my order twice. Called and left a voicemail. Got a call back when I was at work so emailed the direct employee email I was provided in the voicemail, in an attempt to sort the issue out. No response. Have since called again and emailed again. As a 20 year customer service professional myself, this kind of behavior is appalling. It is clear that in-store customers like this place but, whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM ONLINE. It will be nothing but a horrible headache, as I and other past customers have experienced. Will be sending items back on Monday and disputing the charges with my bank if my refund is not issued promptly, since apparently that is historically a problem as well. read more

Unfortunately our shipment won't be in until later this month. There have been some delays with some of the fragrances and they informed me that they hope to ship soon. I ordered two Jon Hart makeup bags from Distinctive Decor. One of the monogrammed bags arrived in a completely different color than I had ordered. I worked with both Jon Hart and Distinctive Decor representatives, and received a call from DD customer service apologizing and saying they would send me a paid return label, which I could place on the incorrect item, send back, and Jon Hart would then monogram and send the correct item through DD back to me. I kept an eye on my mailbox, but never received the shipping label and lost interest in trying to pin down people from each company to help. I felt like the whole process from the time I received the shipment painted both companies in a very disorganized light (I received the packing slip with JH's wholesale price to DD listed, as well as a random name and address on the recipient line, which turned out to be the orderer at DD), which I hate since I am a huge fan of Jon Hart Designs. Still have the makeup bag that I will never use, and will be hesitant in the future to work directly with either company, as the incident seemed unnecessarily difficult and not well managed. read more

Ordered a plate online. Turns out they advertise a lot of items they do not have in stock, but conveniently forget to mention that any time during the order process. I was told after calling their 800 number a week later asking where it was that I should have gotten an email notification, but that never came. And one week later, you can still order that specific item and not get any indication it isn't available for a month. read more

If I could rate this place lower I would. Same experience as other reviewers. They advertise many items they do not have in stock. Ordered an item online, received an email that the shipping would be delayed, then received an email that the order shipped (with tracking information). The next day I received an email informing me the order was cancelled. I emailed the company and asked what was going on and they said it was never in stock and the company was sending me the item directly, but after informing me it shipped they didn't have it. I was told they would not charge me, but then received yet another email saying that they needed payment verification and then my order would ship, even though they had my payment information!! Very frustrating, will not be shopping here again and will tell others to do the same. read more

OMG. I love this website and the ladies who are part of this. When i requested something that was not in their store they were able to get it from the vendor quickly!!! Horrible customer service. Like the other reviewer, I would urge you not to place an online order with this company. They list back ordered items as in stock and then send you a notification days later with the truth and no timeframe for shipment whatsoever. read more
