The salmon and sea bream were both cooked perfectly with golden crusts and nice seasoning - not too salty or oily. The drink menu was very thorough. The Hugo cocktail was perfect- enough elderflower without being overpowering. The music was a bit loud if you were sitting inside and want to have conversations but outside was quieter. The kitchen was speedy with the food prepared well. Prices were also very reasonable. Bonus points for taking credit cards including foreign cards! Would recommend for a quick dinner or drink.

The service was really poor, ignoring our table for about 20 minutes and not reacting to hand signals or anything (the place was not very well crowded btw). After we finally ordered, the waiter didn't come back for another 30 minutes. So about an hour after our arrival we finally got our food, and another five minutes later we finally got our drinks. Oh yes, the food... let me just say: My wife's soup was cold and had a hair in it, my steak (aka Senfrostbraten) was stringy as hell. The waiter, another waitress and the operator did not care about our complaints and eben refused to make out a receipt. We left and found another really nice place nearby where we were told that our experience at Zille was not uncommon.

I literally stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a nice place to have dinner at…read more I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy, upscale ambiance and quality of the food. I had souvlakia and it tasted delicious: my family is half Greek and I lived and travelled extensively in Greece myself so I know my way about Greek food. The service was attentive and courteous thanks to the Italian waiter who made sure we were well taken care of without being invadent. I would definitely come to eat here again next time I am in Duesseldorf.
