Great location in the heart of Davie off the ultra busy University Drive. Customer service was not lacking at this dive shop. The sole employee gave me one-on-one assistance (only customer in the shop) which was appreciated. This was a small dive shop but well equipped with every dive necessity. The Bare brand high top dive boots fit well but thought the price was steep at $89.00 and was not a cheaper boot in stock. Yes, this was a good quality boot but for my needs I would have to go with a $39.00 brand to accomplish the same goal. read more

I visited Diver's Cove this year expecting to walk away with the basics for the PADI open water certification, but Donovan, Bevan, Scott, and Andres elevated the experience to another level. Closed out my open water certification with my fantastic instructor Mr. Scott Simpson. The team at Divers Cove, especially Andres, are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and approachable. Scott was a by the book instructor, which for me is good as safety first, and made sure I had all the proper skill sets before stepping foot in the ocean. The nicest people ever! Went in with my Dad's ancient scuba gear to have it serviced but due to age it was recommended that buying a new setup would be more cost effective. The person that assisted us educated us and was able to salvage the regulator from his old setup. Our Girl Scout Troop decided they would like to give SCUBA a try and Divers Cove in Davie, FL was such a great introduction! By far excellent communication and service when setting up the session. And the session was perfect! The owner Natalee personally led the session with her assistant Nic and it was amazing!! Our troop completed a "try dive" which consisted of use of mask, fins, regulator and BCD to breathe under water and take a little swim in the pool. Oh. My. Gosh. What a great experience. I'm heading to Australia for an event soon and want to dive the Great Barrier Reef. Figuring it'd be better to learn before showing up useless and being forced to snorkel the reef instead, I talked to a couple of dive shops here. I chose to learn with Diver's Cove. They were the nicest, most patient, most helpful folks I could have ever imagined. They allayed my fears about sharks and rays and jellyfish -- but I was still a little nervous. Natalee knew exactly what equipment would fit me and was the polar opposite of what another reviewer wrote. She's friendly, fun, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to be around. I took the basics through E-learning, then met my instructor at Tigertail Lake. From the moment I entered the water -- even before, come to think of it -- he made me feel at ease and unafraid. He showed me how to clear my ears correctly and WHY we did certain things, not just "do this, do that." The lake was fun; the certifying dive in front of Margaritaville at Hollywood Beach, though, hooked me completely. There was so much life down there! Tons of angelfish, wrasses, boxfish, lobsters, corals, tarpon, schools of damsels -- if I'd had enough air, I'd STILL be down there watching everything. Diver's Cove even hosts free dives on the weekends - wow! I'm very, very happy I chose Diver's Cove -- the people, the equipment, and the care with which they handle both, are superlative. read more

My first time at Divers Cove I was met at my car to assist me with my tanks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I came back a week later to pick up my tanks, I was a bit hesitant because they were not all labeled, but I recognized them and I'm confident they know what they are doing and they know how to recognize their customers tanks. The associate made sure to explain to me their punch card system, and their group dives. They helped me back out To my car with my tanks as well. Stoped in today with my family to pick out some new snorkel gear. Cara was wonderful. She really took her time and had me try on almost every mask to find the one that fit the best. She really spent time going one by one with me to be sure we found the best fit. From there we did fins, booties and a snorkel. Hours later we are still talking about how amazing the service was at Divers Cove. Do it! I wanted to start off my scuba certifications with the PADI open water diver certification but winters in NYC are brutal and I was looking to find a dive school in Florida. I am so happy that I came across this shop! Jeff, Natalee and Abby are few of the most wonderful people I have come across. Jeff is a wonderful teacher and helps you through all the questions you have and has completed thousands (?) of dives. As for the certification itself - we went to a pool (a good one) near the shop and got comfortable with the skills required for the PADI certification. We then went to a lake followed by ocean dives which were pretty beautiful! I had tonnes of questions about the equipment in the shop and other course and Natalee was super patient with me while explaining the things in the best possible way. I was on Christmas vacation for a little over a week, and the only place that was able to accommodate me was Diver's Cove. Not only that, but it was my first time diving. I needed to get my certification, equipment, and dives taken care of, and knew nothing about the process. Natalee, Jeff, Chris, and Abby were amazing! They were able to schedule all of my training as well as dives. They made sure that I was comfortable the entire time, and never pressured me to buy a bunch of unnecessary stuff. We've been into this location 5 times, 3 of those we had to deal with the lady who must own the place because if I had an employee who treated staff and customers the way we witnessed, she would cease to be employed. The employees working while she was on staff act like scalded dogs. The first visit we gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a bad day, second time maybe she's socially awkward, this last time she is obviously just an awful person. We couldn't get her name but she appears to work only the weekend and she has an Australian or maybe S. African accent?? Tom and other staff helped us on other visits and Tom was outstanding! If we need dive equipment on the weekend we will go out of our way to go to any other store just to avoid this woman. read more

5 star service all the way!! The first day I called I spoke to Michael who was extremely helpful and friendly. Natalee and Jeff were also very extremely helpful and friendly when choosing the best gear for me. Unfortunately weather did not allowed my buddy and I to get our pool training done on our first weekend, so Natalee and Jeff made arrangements so that we could try Monday or Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday also was cancelled due to weather. By the end of the week I was able to get my pool training and ocean dives completed thanks to them! If anyone is concerning getting certified, I highly recommend Divers Cove because they care about you and will do anything to make sure that you are satisfied. I've been wanting to get my PADI open water certification for quite some time now and after a lot of research i decided that Divers Cove was the place for me! I spoke on the phone with Michael who was very informative and patient with all my questions. The entire staff was extremely friendly and i appreciated the fact that they were able to accommodate me in short notice during my stay in Fort Lauderdale. Jeff is a phenomenal instructor and taught me many important and fun skills! From the start the customer service experience is superior as well as the level of professionalism. They go above and beyond to ensure that all your questions are answered and you are safe and feel comfortable before moving on to the next step! I had so much fun during my experience! On day 1 we went to practice in pool were they teach students multiple skills. Once the skills are mastered, you complete your course with 4 dives (2 shore dives, and 2 boat dives). Went here years ago to rent some tanks and had a terrible experience with the shop. Fast forward 5 years later and I gave them another chance. I have been going to Diver's Cove since I returned home from being stationed in Puerto Rico in June. I was already a certified diver, but I wanted to further my diving knowledge. I purchased my Advanced Open Water course with Divers Cove. My first Advanced Dive was a night dive with Chris. It was awesome!!!! My next couple of check out dives were with Paul. I loved the deep dive and the wreck. Paul being a retired Navy SCPO was also awesome, he still owes me a beer for not having his challenge coin on himself!!!! After my AWO, I wanted to further advance my skills, Chris recommended that I take the Rescue Diver Course. After being in the USCG for 20 years it was right up my alley. I loved the course and Jeff was an awesome instructor. My three sons have completed their Open Water Course and are preparing for their Advance Course next. I have purchased serval pieces of gear from Divers Gove, they have everything from spearguns to latest gear from Scubapro and Aqua Lung. As I have recently started my Divemaster program I purchased Scubapros Hydros BC. The Hydros allows for complete freedom of movement and it a BC I will have for the rest of my life. Jeff the owner is a wonderful service tech and bring all 5 sets of my regulators for service at Divers Gove. From their dive trips to the warm welcoming shop, Divers Cove is wonderful. Sometimes I just stop by for a cup of coffee and love to hear stories and tales from lands far away. Looking forward to making a dive trip to Little Cayman islands soon. He went into great detail to explain the different options and the differences in warranties in particular on the BCs, the regulators and computers we were considering.
