It was such a pleasant experience, and felt very seamless from boarding to docking. Our captain was Raul, and his crewmate was Ruslan. They were both such wonderful people and they made the entire experience so smooth! I wasn't the one who organized any of the booking, but I do know that they were relatively accommodating when we were running late for our appointment. We have a party of 11 and getting everyone together at the same time to the same place can get pretty hectic. But, once again, they were very accommodating to our hectic schedule (and we were very grateful)! I wish I snapped some photos of the interior because the boat was absolutely GORGEOUS! There were 2 bathrooms (one general and one in the main bedroom) that both had functional showers, and there were about 3 bedrooms to lounge in if you didn't want to be up on the boat. Just a warning though, you cannot flush anything solid down the toilet, so make sure to toss everything in the little trash can provided! The yacht also has two floatable tubes/surfaces that you can lounge on once you are out in the water. The breeze was wonderful and the sun felt absolutely marvelous; big plus that the water wasn't cold! Super big thank you to Raul and Ruslan once again! You guys were absolutely awesome!

We took an excellent cruise on the Silver Moon that started in Tokyo (we toured 3 days before the…read moreCruise), stopped in various places in Japan, across the Pacific for a week, then a few places in Alaska. Our pre-cruise tour was through Silversea. We thoroughly enjoyed our pre-cruise tour guide, Rumi Yamaguchi, who provided entertainment on the long bus rides with origami, information about local customs, some history, and taught us some words in Japanese. Her English was quite good. She was friendly, had a good sense of humor, answered our questions in a way we could understand, provided perspective on what we were seeing, and explained our unusual dietary needs to the waiters/chef in the different restaurants. At some of the stops she described the terrain and what we were about to see and do, so people could choose whether to remain on the bus instead. At one point she was able to help one of the people on the tour find a specific shop, which was extraordinary. We adored our butler, Alvin, who managed to ensure my dietary restrictions were accommodated. He coordinated daily with the chef of each restaurant and ensure my menu requests were clearly understood, and every meal was magnificent! Alvin and our suite attendant, Rahul, made our room look beautiful every day and night, and there was no delay in answering our requests and questions. We sincerely appreciate the extra efforts they put into making sure everything went well. Their jobs covered many types of interactions with us, and they both appeared happy whenever we saw each other, which made us happy as well. Executive Chef, Ramasamy Mohanraj had an excellent group of chefs for the various onboard restaurants we ate in. Meals were inventive and delicious. Of special note were the meals at Atlantide by Chef Marixie. All of the food on board was delicious. Every restaurant accommodated me in this way, and even the people staffing the buffets checked with the chefs when asked if something had dairy or meat in it (or other things for other passengers). The Maître D' at Atlantide, Aniket, has also ensured our needs were met to our delight, and all the arrangements were seamless. The servers rotated through many roles in the different restaurants, and provided excellent service. Of special note for their interactions with us are Beatrice, Jane, Baren, Mildred, Francesco, Faith, Nelson (Norcao), Mercy, Macdon, and Ruben. They were professional and smiling. The wonderfully entertaining server at the Panorama Lounge, Luke, whose singing and dance moves were such fun! The ship's singers, dancers, and band were fantastic. We stayed late to see many of the shows and they were amazing. he singer, Shirley, not only belted out a song, but also ran some of the games during the day that many of us flocked to because of her fun personality. All the entertainment staff were excellent singers and the dancers were superb. The Assistant Cruise Director, Nina, ran Bingo with playful banter and rhymes, that made the game fun even when we didn't get to shout Bingo ourselves. Nina also brought her special sweet humor to other interactions each day (with us and others) which kept us laughing. Her enthusiastic finesse as Emcee of the "Liar's Club", along with the clever and creative answers by the other participants of the show, brought so much laughter that many of us stayed up many hours past our normal bedtime. The Cruise Director, Katherina Fragkedaki, with her hilarious answers in that show, as well as funny comments when providing the post show preview of the next days' activities, and her enormous energy delighted all of us around her. The woman working in the onboard boutique shops, Svetlana, was delightful. She was welcoming without being pushy, and others also commented on her kind help. And, Captain Giovanni Adorante was the friendliest ship's captain we have ever encountered in years of sailing on various cruise lines. He doesn't just smile and nod- He interacts with the passengers at shows, meals, when we were leaving the ship for tours, at the fitness center, and in hallways. His bridge tour was informative and entertaining and his explanation of the backup systems gave us an extra sense of security that the bridge staff had every contingency covered. He has earned great respect from staff and passengers, while showing interest in passengers, as well as every facet of the voyage. His leadership is what makes this ship's crew and the sailing great.

The Capitan and Mate had zero personality and honestly I felt I was in their way at times which made me uncomfortable. No music, drinks (even water) or explanation of where to find a phone charger did not even exist. I believe in their heart they did try to find fish and we did catch a few. I guess it would have been nice if they would have been happy and personable but it pretty much added to the weather and lack of bites. Had to be honest

They are very good about only keeping the larger ones and not fudging with the sizes. Boat was very comfortable both inside and out. There was some diesel exhaust but that's to be expected when they run diesel motors. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I also just took the celebrity Apex for 12 nights in Scandinavia so have a recent comparison. Ship- the ship is old and it looks/feels it. It is 24 years old and needs a serious facelift. We had a sky suite and I have stayed in better rooms at a 3 star hotel. The bathroom had mold in every corner and crevice of the shower. The makeup mirror was coming by off the wall and the couch looked like it had been through a lot of wear and tear. The balcony is covered in rust which I get bc it is a ship in the ocean. The ship spent 17 days in dry dock not too long ago and apparently the carpets were replaced. I can't even imagine how bad that would have been. They apparently also painted during that dock time and you can tell bc there is literally paint drips and other misses all over the place. A elementary school student could have done a better paint job. Food- maybe I don't get the cruise thing but the food was not better than a chain restaurant in the states (longhorn, Olive garden, red lobster) and I don't mention this as a positive. They definitely focus on quantity and not quality and you can taste it. We spent a little of time eating off ship as much as possible. Staff- this was hit or miss. Coming from the celebrity apex where the staff was exceptional and you can see the difference from the top down this was a miss for me. The staff seem as tired and run down as the ship. I guess if I had to eat that food and live in those conditions for 9 months or so I would also not have the best attitude. The conclusion is I would avoid. There are better options.

We saw some of the low reviews and weren't expecting much. Totally surprised by our awesome experience. The food was delightful & staff excellent 5 star top notch service. Same for our rooms & attendants. Our old room had a leak by our door, we didn't ask for a new one but got one anyway with a superb balcony & future cruise credit with our old room attendant fabulous. The whole crew is very friendly right from the Captains wife & child we met by our old room, officers, performers on lifts, casino bar & poker table, even bathroom attendants, etc. Yes it's an older ship (Tampa shipping channel is not wide enough for newer ships & port has 2 small docks), but ship is being constantly cleaned with cleaners everywhere, has some rust on it but so does my 36' speed boat as I'm constantly replacing fasteners that are supposed to be stainless but still rust with sea water. Things are dated but this ship was to be refurb, then covid & I understand the economic reasons for the delay. My best experience was on the last day dinner dessert time as I'm very picky, my own fault, etc. The wait staff & maitre d were able to track down some port wine upon my request & this was epic. Very impressed by it. I have been on many cruises from Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, etc. (I did miss the comedy shows on Celebrity available on others) but 1st time on Celebrity & had the absolute best time on this cruise.
