It was in 2008 that I got my dive gear here and they gave me and my mother the best customer service ever. They had me try on different booties from different companies, same with fins and masks. I was overwhelmed but they were really nice about it telling me after I got certified at school, I could come back and do refresher courses with them or try out gear in the pool they have connected to the store. Very friendly and again this was in 2008 so I hope nothing has changed but if it has, I hope it is for the better read more

I have used scuba connection twice for certification, once with my oldest son who was 10 at the time and most recently for my 11 year old son. Overall in both cases our experience was less than stellar. The staff is highly knowledgeable and for adults they are fine. However the experience for kids was far less positive. For starters they have a very small pool to work in, and often pack in up to 7 students into the pool that is big enough for 4-5. It was hard for me as an adult to squeeze in and have the patience to stand around with so many students, but for a kid it is nearly impossible - and also very cold. Their demeaner is also not great for kids at all. There are many important skills to teach, but acting as a drill sargeant with kids is no way to set them up to succeed and fall in love with scuba. We had to nearly force our son to go back after the first lesson, and I ultimately wound up in an argument with the owner/instructor only because my wife had no interest in dealing with him anymore. Being honest, my kids were super prepared. But they took the fun out of learning in the process. Bottom line, if you are an adult go for it. If you have kids looking to certify, find someplace else. read more

Haven't dived in years. Came here for a refresher class. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff in the shop and in the pool. Great selection of equipment! Really nice that the pool is right here rather than have to drive somewhere else to try out equipment, etc. read more

This dive shop has no notion of customer service. The place is dead most of the time, and once you finally track someone down for help, it always feels like you are bothering them. As for classes, I took my wife there for some certification enquiries, and she found the staff so dismissive and non-responsive that she just gave up. I happen to be an experienced scuba-diver who visits the shop quite frequently (dozen times in past year) for specific needs (parts, fills, inspections). So I find it regrettable that a shop so conveniently located, and with so many knowledgeable staffers and service people fail to deliver on the most basic elements of customer service (welcome, listening, offer solutions, volunteer help and service, display a supportive attitude). Net, for experienced/local people who know what they want, this shop's location, and equipment (great brands, lots of parts) can't be beat. Even their on-line shop is pretty good. But for people who want to get into the sport, and want to fall in love with scuba-diving, stay away. This is the type of old-school local dive shop with a superiority complex, which unfortunately too often discourages novice scuba divers to take up the sport or stick with it. Go somewhere else, or wait for your next trip to Florida or some tropical islands. read more

This shop is completely disorganized and does not understand the meaning of customer service. My son completed his checkout dives and over two weeks later he still has not received a temporary certification card. My calls and emails have gone unreturned, and I actually had to call PADI myself to report the problem. I paid a lot of money for my son's training, and this lack of organization is inexcusable. Go somewhere else for your training if you ever expect to get your official certification card. read more

Suprised to hear about the other bad reviews posted here on yelp. I had just the opposite experience. Great instructors, motivating staff, and very accommodating to individual needs. Doubt u could buy a Halcyon BCD on Amazon for half the price. I had a young buy in my class who was struggling big time to the point where it was disrupting the class. The instructor was very patient with hin until it became clear he needed private assistance. Yes the staff sometimes seem in attentive but once they start working with u, they give their full attention in helping with ur purchases. read more

The service at this scuba shop is terrible. I waited in the store for 20 minutes as the employees acted like I didn't exist. They looked as if they were annoyed that I was in the store. Also, their products and gear are overpriced. Almost all of it can be found on Amazon for half the price. I will never spend money there again, which says a lot considering the next scuba store is twice as far away from my house. read more
