Within 48 hours, her earrings had literally grown into her earlobes. The backs were completely embedded, serum was pouring from the piercing sites, and she had developed a fever from the infection. We were told by urgent care that they would likely send us straight to the hospital. In a moment of panic, we called Iron Ink around 4:00 on a busy Saturday. They immediately told us to come in -- no appointment needed -- and that they would take care of her. From the second we walked through the door, Sunshine treated my daughter like absolute royalty. Even though they were clearly busy, she was calm, compassionate, and incredibly professional. My daughter was in so much pain and terrified, but Sunshine made her feel safe and brave. I also want to add that I work in the medical field, and within minutes it was clear that Sunshine's standards for sanitation, biosecurity, and sterile technique are exceptional -- truly better than what I have seen in many hospitals. Every tool was properly autoclaved and packaged exactly like a surgical pack you would find in an operating room. Her attention to cleanliness, sterile setup, and infection control was meticulous and reassuring. Everything was handled correctly and safely. She carefully removed the embedded earrings, cleaned and treated the infection properly, and replaced them with high-quality gold hoops so my daughter's ears could drain and heal as they should. She also educated us thoroughly on aftercare and what to monitor. A doctor had previously told us it could take a month to heal and even suggested not putting earrings back in at all. Thanks to Sunshine's expertise and proper technique, my daughter's ears improved within two days because they were finally able to drain and heal correctly. Sunshine quite literally saved my daughter's earlobes. Her skill, professionalism, and heart turned what could have been a traumatic hospital visit into a positive, empowering experience for my little girl. Terrible experience…read more Was asked for deposit to "begin drawing".Upon arriving on time for my appointment weeks later,I was told it would be HOURS before I was inked.Not because I was late,but because the person before me was THAT late and they let it slide. I casually asked to see the sketch of my proposed design.I was met with something to the effect that all sketches were done @ the time of the session.So,what exactly WAS the deposit for then? The atmosphere was terse and unhelpful.We were totally ignored once they told us we would be waiting hours.I left and never got the $ back either.I was told the money would be kept because I walked out and deprived them of more business that day.Seriously?Like there would have been time for that with on tattoo taking 2+ hours before even beginning my own "around 3 or 3:30" on a Sunday?Yeah,right.Total garbage.
