The course is very well kept nearly year round you'll find that each hole is different and presents a new hazard to avoid! Be aware that there are many holes that contain water so you may want to bring an extra sleeve of balls for this one! Between the dog legs left and right as well as the peninsula greens you'll find yourself itching to see what surprises the next hole has in store. If you've never played here it's worth the few hours it'll take to complete this course!

Too bad it's private and thus only open to members. It's a Pete Dye course, so from a player/spectator perspective, it's a golfer's paradise. I was astounded by the size of the course and beauty of it - hole #18 is quite a looker, as is the recognizable #6 with the red covered bridge. The BMW Championship was well executed despite the wacky weather that week. I was able to park in a field a few miles away and ride a shuttle to the course and quickly caught one back when I was ready to leave. The course was breathtaking in the crisp white and black BMW colors, but what else do you expect when BMW is the title sponsor? Crossing my fingers the tournament returns in 2020 so we can experience it again.

The course was always in great shape - bunkers raked, greens cut evenly, divots filled, etc. This is a very private course, and you need to be with a member to play. Fortunately, they have a prestigious caddie program that offers members a chance to play quickly, and vast community involvement for kids to learn lifelong skills. The members are overall very inviting, and the staff is very helpful - not only in the pro shop, but in the whole (beautiful) clubhouse itself. If you have any chance to play, I highly recommend!

The biggest this year that I noticed was the new golf cart house, new carts (super comfortable! And they have usb charging ports) and the new restrooms. I enjoy the remote location from Indianapolis- but close enough that in 15 minutes you'd be at the Meridian St exit off 465. The course is well kept, greens are nice, fairways are excellent to play, the holes are challenging with a good amount of sand, water, trees and doglegs. After golfing, we have a dinner in the club's lodge which has good seating, a bar, and a sound system. We always have a fun time here. For our company outing - 5 stars!

The Ranger that day followed us for 14 holes straight and I felt as if he had nothing better to do than to pressure us all day. At one point he told us we had to pick up pace of play which would be reasonable except we were following a group ahead of us and had to wait in between shots. We even finished 10 minutes ahead of pace. For how much you pay to play at this course, it's not worth it to be harassed by the Ranger all afternoon. Plenty of better courses around Indy.
