Warning! I would not recommend these folks. The owner himself doesn't return calls and they do not stand behind their work. We had a shower door installed when we built our home. The door gaskets came loose and popped out which caused the door to lean slightly. They sent a technician out that does not even work for the company. He fixed the problem but after the work was done he asked for payment. Andy Messer never returned my call to let me know there was a service charge nor did he return my call when I called to ask about the charge. Very poor business practice and follow up. Hopefully reviews like this can help people not make the same mistake I did in calling Messer. read more

If I could rate this company zero I would do so. The shower door they installed was 1" above the tile beneath. I called to tell them water was flowing beneath the flange. The serviceman they sent out then replaced that flange with another inadequate flange. I went online and bought a 1" flange and installed it myself. Still leaking. The professional from another company who removed this and installed a replacement showed me where the glass had been installed at such an angle that water would flow only outside and not toward the drain. This company is unresponsive to customers. I could never recommend them. read more

I took dining table pads in to have glass cut to protect table. Glass was finished in 3 days. They scheduled delivery for Wednesday, then called Monday to say they had time to deliver so did so 2 days earlier. Very nice and responsive. Perfect fit. read more

Once again Dixie Messer Mirror has come through for me. I had a man break the drivers mirror on my work truck. This style mirrors cannot be purchased to replace. I brought the frame in and within 15 minutes they had a new glass installed. I'm grateful because I was afraid new style mirrors would mean drilling holes in my doors to install. read more

We bought an expensive, custom-made mirror for our bathroom from Dixie Messer lesthree years ago. I recently noticed that the silver was coming off the back, leaving large black spots. When I called to report the problem, I was told "we don't give warranties on mirrors." No interest in making good on an obviously defective product. I recommend staying away from this company! read more

Ordered a new glass shelf for my curio cabinet. Took them one of the original shelves that had one corner chipped off about half an inch. I pointed that out to the woman. Picked it up today and didn't notice until it was actually in the cabinet that they copied the chip!! Not really a big deal but I did spend $30 for it. I called and the same woman was not apologetic at all. She told me that I could bring the shelves back but it's a huge inconvenience. I needed to get this taken care of because I had all this stuff sitting around in the way and Christmas is next week!! It really bothers me that this woman never said, "I'm sorry." I'm afraid if I go back in there I may regret what I say. I'll just remember NOT to ever go back there. read more

I had glass shelves cut from glass I took in, and had the plate groove cut into them. Then I bought their chrome brackets to hang the shelves, after researching thoroughly and deciding that they were the right ones to hold the weight. When I picked all my items up, I knew the charge was $18 higher than my quote, but didn't say anything at that point. I hung the brackets exactly as instructed, spacing them no more than 16" apart, even bought larger anchors when the ones that came in the package didn't support the weight. After putting 6 large holes in my wall, I discovered that the brackets did not support the weight of even the empty glass shelf. Very disappointed and annoyed, I took the brackets and anchors out and trotted right back to Dixie Messer. After explaining the situation, the gentleman eagerly refunded my money for the brackets, and when I mentioned the higher charge than my quote, he gladly refunded that money as well. Now that our shelves are up, I am able to display my antique china using the plate grooves in the glass. I am very happy with the shelving! I highly recommend Dixie Messer! read more
