My one year anniversary was yesterday and we talked about how disappointing the DJ was so I decided to post this review. We were not overly pleased with the DJ services at our wedding. The first issue was that he was calling my husband @ 5:15pm asking where we were. Our wedding started at 5:00 pm. He didn't know where he was going. I could not have been clearer in my directions when speaking with the owner on the phone or on the application for services. We were about to walk down the aisle when he was calling. That's completely unacceptable!! If he was unsure where he was going, he should have arrived early to avoid any confusion. Two, it took him a while to get set up and the system was 'glitchy' for what seemed to be awhile. That caused cocktail hour to be a little disruptive. After he got going, we did change our minds and decide to play a little upbeat music before we had written it on the schedule to do, the DJ was resistant to the change saying it wasn't on the schedule. If the DJ can't go with the flow, I don't know who can. I also wrote on my list, that accepting requests was ok, but when someone went up to do so, he said that was going to be a problem for him as it was going to throw him off. Not sure what that's about. I also requested a particular song for the cake cutting and specifically requested the Billy Idol speech at the beginning of the song to be played, it was not. I also requested Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You be played for our first dance. I still don't know what he played. It was not the sweet soft song that Ellie Goulding sings. Everyone kept asking what song it was I assume it was a techno version or dance remix but not first dance material. It was extremely disappointing. Lastly, every 5 minutes he would interlace his DJ name into the songs. Cool for the club scene and maybe okay at a wedding a few times but no one wanted to hear "DJ Dean" in every song. Thankfully for you I am an older bride, who made it very clear that we were a laid-back couple, just looking to have a good time. We initially reached out to the owner after the wedding and he offered $50 dollars back. We didn't take it as the review for others to see was more important. Ironically, being that he didn't even perform for the whole five hours the refund should have been more without any of the issues. If I had been a first-time bride, I shudder to think of the review she would have left about your company/services. We made the best of it, but for $400 dollars/$80 hour, I expected better. I do not recommend this service. read more
