My husband, Rob and I were married on June 20, 2013, and here I am (((almost 4 years later))) finally getting a moment to myself to sit down and write a raving review on the fabulous, one and only DJ Louie, because - let's face it - he is the best wedding DJ out there! Planning a wedding is very stressful, so many decisions to be made... the venue, the menu, flowers, cake, color scheme, DJ... and brides are usually one of two things - completely clueless as to what they want or, they know exactly what they want... I was the former. We went to one of those "wedding vendor" parties at the Carl House in Auburn, Georgia to get an idea of what was available, and that is where we met DJ Louie, and his amazing wife Angie, our wedding photographer. He was exactly what we wanted. He was professional, he was sincere, and after only just meeting him, we knew that he would be the kind of DJ that would put 120% effort into making our wedding reception a night we would never forget, and boy were we spot on right about that! The playlist for your reception is an integral part of making your night memorable. It's your wedding day soundtrack for goodness sake! DJ Louie took our list of songs we wanted played at our wedding reception, and played them in an order that made sense, kept the flow, and took our guests to the perfect emotion at the exact right moments. He also wasn't one of those loud, in-your-face DJs - you know the kind - full of corny jokes, one-liners, loves to steal the whole show... No, DJ Louie was classy, elegant, personal. So personal, in fact, that when we ran into him at an event almost 3 years after our wedding day, he actually remembered the song he played for us on our first dance, "Georgia on my mind." He surprised us both and replayed the song, allowing us to relive such an amazing moment. You can't put a price tag on that kind of service. So, here's to you, DJ Louie! After phone interviewing a few other DJs, I was discouraged about this part of wedding planning. UNTIL, I called to phone interview DJ Louie Productions and thought, "well this could work". My fiance and I went to meet DJ Louie and his son, DJ Pippe, and I was sold after 5 minutes. They were genuine, professional, and patient the entire meeting. They explained in detail how everything would go, the process for selecting music and then talked about the contract. They did not push the contract, but instead let me continue to ask questions until I was sure on every small detail. We decided to use them for the DJ service and also a lighting package. We were not strict about what songs to (not) play, just had a handful of requests. We gave DJ Pippe "guidance" on what we would like played at each part of the wedding and he quickly obliged. Fast forward five months to the wedding day. DJ Pippe and DJ Alex were our DJs for the day and I received multiple compliments about their work and professionalism throughout the day. They arrived early, set up for three locations (the ceremony site, cocktail hour and the reception). They worked with the wedding coordinator, photographer and officiant for mic checks, signals for when to start new songs (e.g. the Bridal March) and everything went seamless. During the reception, they did a phenomenal job of working with other key members (e.g. coordinator, photographer) and keeping other events on time (cake cutting, toasts, dances, etc.). A majority of the wedding guests were up and dancing throughout the evening and they kept all music choices preferable. As we only gave him guidance for this part of the day, it was so amazing to hear how everything came together and was everything we could have imagined. Dj Felipe and Alex are epic! There was never a dull moment to the start of my wife's and I wedding ceremony transitioning to the reception. You guys showed amazing professionalism and kept our family and friends all the way turnt up! The aura that you two gentlemen brought spoke volumes and you all helped make it a glorious occasion. I have bartended almost every event at a well respected wedding venue for six years ,so I have seen MANY DJ's come through the door. DJ Louie is my favorite by far !!! His ability to generate enthusiasm and participation from the guests is unsurpassed, whether for dancing, singalongs and in the traditional wedding rites. His music is just that, not " noise " as so many are and is a perfect blend of oldies and "now" ...there is always something to please the taste of every generation. DJ Louie was absolutely incredible. He is not your typical DJ.. he is so much better! He kept the energy up when it was time to dance and kept the mood high during the cocktail hour and dinner. There was never a bad song played. I personally gave him free reign to do what he does best and I'm so glad I did! Music was very important to me for our wedding day and I was advised by my wedding coordinator to not skimp in this area because your DJ is what can make or break the night. I am so happy that I had a chance to work with these guys and have them be a part of our special day. All of our guests came up to us at some point and said it was the best wedding they've ever been to and I truly believe it's because of DJ louie doing what he does and rocking the house!! After meeting with DJ Louis and DJ Pippe, we were sold on them being our wedding DJs! They were very organized and professional throughout all communications with them and truly made us feel comfortable about the music on our big day (this was a very important part to us!) DJ Pippe and his assistant showed up early on our wedding day, got everything set up, and executed everything exactly as we discussed. They both had FUN at the wedding too, which our guests noticed and loved. Our wedding coordinator even came up to us and asked us if we wanted just 2-3 more songs at the end of the night because everyone was still on the dance floor and having an amazing time.
