Not a good experience at all. I contacted a broker at this firm for a retail property in Dayton…read moreohio and it was my understanding that it was for lease. I had seen it on cityfeet and loopnet for quite awhile. The broker told me that I could go to the property and look at it and just tell the employees that the owner said it was okay and gave me his first name. When I got to the property, after a 2 hour drive, the employees knew nothing about it. One employee finally consented to let me look at the building but barely showed me any of it. I contacted the broker, Cindy Metz and let her know of the situation. At no point did she offer to actually have someone show me the property. I requested what would be the next step in order to lease the property. She stated that she could do a conference call with the owner. I requested that we do it in 2 days and that all I needed was a time to make sure that I would not be disturbed during the call. 2 days later came and nothing. I actually had to call her and was informed that the owner of the property had another property that may be going on under contract and that everything would have to possibly be moved to the location that I was interested in and that she would know something next week. WOW. A total waste of time and the strangest handling of a real estate property that I've ever encountered. In the future, I would suggest NOT sending prospective buyers/tenants to a property unless you can personally show it to them. Unless I'm mistaken, this should be your job. Also, don't give a run around on the property... be honest and also follow up with prospective buyers and tenants, don't say you will do something and then wait for them to have to reach out to you!
