By the time the wedding came around our Dj just chose not to follow the plan (ex. skipped over the bridal party entrance) and didn't play very many songs off our must play list but rather just chose what he wanted. i had to repeatedly send bridesmaids up to ask to play the songs on our MUST play list, we also chose not to accept requests and this was also ignored by the Dj. Also we spoke about having family friendly music on the front half of dancing and about 3 songs in an EXTREMELY inappropriate song that we did NOT request played and I had many offended guests. Overall the music choices were not bad at all, but if i knew they were going to go against our wishes I probably would have hired elsewhere.

I know what good mixing is (mixing in key, cuts, fade ins/outs, etc.) and I have also dabbled in DJing myself. Over the course of the past 7 years I have met, became, and stayed friends with the people I have met at these shows and festivals and most of them attended my wedding which Jon DJ'ed the weekend of this past December 8th. Initial impressions of Jon upon first meeting him were profanely positive. He was extremely courteous and immediately gave me props on my playlist selection which was nice of him. I'll be honest. I'm at the age where all of my friends are getting hitched and I've been to a lot of weddings this year. Heard a lot of mediocre DJ's. As long as Jon played the songs I picked, I would have been satisfied, but he completely exceeded my expectations. Jon's mixing flowed, he read the crowd extremely well, and had good stage presence. On par with any hip-hop/rap DJ I have seen live. The dance floor was full from the time he started till the time he stopped and I had multiple guests tell me how much they enjoyed his set. He honestly set the tone, kept the pace, and fed the crowd aural synapses of all my pre-selected tunes mixed to his style, done very well. I can't thank Jon enough for making my wedding truly a night to remember. He is very reasonably priced as well, so this makes him a no brainer. I will recommend him to friends 100 times over. He was able to get songs we wanted that weren't on his list. He also provided the speaker and mics for our outdoor ceremony, string cafe lighting for cocktail hour, music during dinner, a speaker to play lounge music outside, wonderful up lighting inside, and kept all our friends and family on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! We would be dancing to a favorite old school song and then switch the headset to a rockin new song. It's great for a party where there a both singles and couples because when you have the headset on you are just dancing with whomever is next to you listening to the same song. So it promotes dancing with new people and avoids clicks. There are plenty of DJs that can just play music. But Earl is professional, well spoken, highly recommended, lots of southern charm and is always looking dapper. Once you've been to a wedding where the DJ shows up in jeans and a white tee, cursing like a sailor and trying drop it like they're hot with the bridesmaids you'll know why it's so important to have someone like him.
