Went for the Niko Moon concert that said doors open at 3:00 concert starts at 4:00. After STANDING (we were told no chairs allowed after we go to gate) there for over 3 hours we were told Niko Moon wouldn't be playing until 9:30pm. Tickets say 4:00, refinery site says 4:00. There is NO seating!!! We paid for vip tickets and still had to stand. Owner obviously falsely advertised to make money on vendors and overpriced drinks. We got to many concerts each month but will NEVER go back to the refinery!!

I've seen several concerts at The Refinery now, the latest being Niko Moon, and this venue never fails to disappoint! It's so easy to get there from downtown, Mt Pleasant, West Ashley or other surrounding areas. It's an intimate setting and a little bit more upscale than others in the area. They always have drink stations in the actual venue, which is outside; however, there are other food and drink options on site at The Whale and Cleats which are conveniently located next to the venue with optimal viewing so you don't have to worry about missing any of your performance if you get hungry!

oh what a night - gotta brag here and say we were VIP for Chase Rice. Honestly didn't know which one Chase was but when he walked by in his UGG boots I had a feeling deep down it was him. Security ran a tight ship so yeah I felt safe all night. Tried to walk out of VIP with my old friend, Red Solo Cup, but security said "Not today honey." Gotta appreciate a person who does their job with integrity and enthusiasm. ok getting to the good part - the sound traveled incredibly well, so much so that when the crowd sang "Amazing Grace" I cried a little. It was a spiritual experience. Didn't think I would have that tonight but ALAS I left feeling a little closer to God Almighty. Chase was a real crowd pleaser. He sang about trucks and women and Jack Daniels. He even gave some to the crowd to drink!! It was a nice touch if you ask me. At the end of the night I got to go up to the second level and take in the show in all its glory. My friend and I debated if this was a 4 or 5 star experience and I arrived to 4 stars. Ok good night sleep tight don't let the bed bugs bite.

The Refinery is an excellent venue for live music and grab drinks with family and friends. Went to the David Nail country concert and had a fantastic time! A big stage with lots of space to hangout and listen to music, and enjoy food trucks. They have a restaurant and an upper deck to enjoy the view.

Beautiful outdoor facility, attended an event called Bourbon, Blues, and Bonfires. The event was well executed, with a good number of bourbon vendors giving out samples and conversing about their products. Selwyn Birchwood was the blues entertainment, and his band was an awesome selection, given his recent accolades in the blues community. And finally they had several fire pits spread out across the facility which kept us comfortable as the temps dropped in the evening. Food trucks kept our bellies filled. Just an overall perfect event

Great stage and sound. Very professional. Parking is limited but on street parking was not an issue. This venue is definitely an up and comer.

This is a new and innovative model for Charleston events and local businesses. With a growth in live music and an expansion further North, this is a perfect addition to the evolving landscape of Charleston, SC. Excellent venue.

The Refinery is a fantastic outdoor venue that hosts a variety of musicians. We went for an evening Stephen Marley concert and enjoyed the open lawn. Bars are available during the concert and they host food trucks as well. The entrance line moved quickly and staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were well made, fast and a great price. I recommend bringing a blanket and maybe a small back pillow to comfortably lounge with.

I went for a fundraiser event. The set up here is great! A big stage, with lots of space to hang out, stand, sit, dance. Pet and kid friendly makes it an awesome spot for the whole family! I especially recommend going during events when there are food trucks and vendors set up

Good venue ! Great views. The VIP section is unnecessary as the regular tix/ views are far superior .. will be back.

The Charleston Music Hall itself is a beautiful, historic venue--intimate, well-maintained, and known for hosting concerts, comedy shows, and special events. The seating is comfortable, sightlines are good, and acoustics are solid, which definitely worked in favor of the vocal performances. The singers were clearly talented and did a great job vocally--everyone sounded wonderful, and there's no denying the performers can sing. However, we personally felt that the show didn't quite feel like a full "production." It leaned heavily on straightforward singing, with limited storytelling, choreography, or theatrical elements to tie everything together. This may come down to expectations and personal preference. Growing up around Broadway shows in NYC, we're used to more dynamic, story-driven performances with larger production value, and this didn't quite meet that standard for us. While others may enjoy it for the music and holiday spirit--especially in a cozy venue like the Charleston Music Hall--we would probably not attend again, particularly considering the ticket price.

The last band that I saw at the Charleston Music Hall was Hatebreed, a metal-core hardcore band that makes you ears bleed in the good way. Fortunately, the staff can provide you with complimentary ear plugs. Every visit to the Music Hall is consistently awesome! The Music Hall's website states: "Centrally located in the Upper King Street area of historic downtown Charleston, SC, the Charleston Music Hall was built in 1850 as a passenger station for the South Carolina Railroad, then converted to a full-service music venue in 1995."

I was on a sister trip with my older sister and on one of my morning runs in the beautiful city of Charleston I ran passed Groovers. So Thursday night my sister and I decided to stroll in there after dinner. The DJ was really good he was playing house music that night. We also met Briggs who was working the bar. He was so nice and funny and made some really good espresso martinis for my sister and I. The ambiance was so nice inside. I loved seeing the different vinyls on the wall that made up the decor. There is also a lot of seating within the venue and who doesn't love a nice clean bathroom! It was giving are you the cousin to Buc-ee's? The music was so fun, throwback after throwback (early 2000s) and the drinks were cheap! I felt like the crowd was younger (I'm late 20s) so they weren't dancing much but me and my friends were (we knew the songs... it looked like the gen z patrons didn't). There was plenty of room on the dance floor and we even were able to sit down at a booth with a table. So we were able to put our drinks down and get on the dance floor! This place is cute for a date or a night out with friends. Such a fun vibe. I hope more people find out about this place and come check it out! Casual attire is fine. Check out their Instagram, they announce who will be DJing each night so you can know what the vibe is. I saw they have like live bands sometimes too so it seems like a cool spot for all different kinds of music!
