That day came and the moment we had our date and venue I reached out to book with Jonathan for our special day on 10/19/2018. Our magical day has come and gone and we can't say enough good things about Dappy Hays! From the regular communication, customizing of our logo with two different photos from our trip to Venice a year prior, selecting props that reflected our individual tastes and personalities...Jonathan was incredibly responsive and collaborative every step of the way! We only had to make sure there was enough space at our reception venue and a chair and Dappy Hays provided everything else!!! Our wedding guests were continuously commenting on how much fun the team was, they would then tell us "we can't wait for you to watch our video message! That was so unique and fun!" Dappy Hays set up a photo booth for my daughter's wedding. I worried that maybe a photo booth…read morewould be intrusive, or maybe kind of tacky, but no! Her guests LOVED it, and now my daughter has some really great photos of people who were at the wedding. Dappy Hays' staff came dressed professionally (no jeans or T shirts), were there on time and tore down without disturbing the vibe of the wedding -- I don't think I even noticed they were packing up. Their selection of props was great -- it brought out a side of my son that I'd never seen, and that's a great thing, because he's normally very quiet and shy, and boy, did he let loose! I laugh every time I se those pictures. :-) All in all, we were really happy to have gotten the photo booth, and I'd hire Dappy Hays again if I needed them.

They kept the trays pretty full or at least divided the food accordingly so it constantly came out hot. It was nice to be able to get the type of salad dressing I wanted even though it was not one of the choices that was out. The only part that sucked, to me, was that the host had a lot of food left over and was not able to take any of it with her as they do not box up the catered food. It seemed like such a financial waste and based on the hosts face; this was not something disclosed prior to. My recommendation would be for their catered foods is to order less but you can always add on if need be.

Music added the extra push for the last few hours of the party that would not exist if it were not for Velocity. Evan Ledman was our DJ and was able to make a personal connection with my wife and I before/during our wedding. A personal connection is something you want when planning your special event because it is all about what you want for your special day/event. Velocity/Evan was able to do so with ease. Our wedding was easily the hottest day of the year, but you would not be able to guess that while looking at our DJ's (Bob Forseman and Evan Ledman). From the first time my wife and I met with the two of them, we realized that Velocity was going to make our party a real event. Even though dinner was outside in the 100* heat, Evan made sure that we had what we needed to make any sort of toasts or announcements. He assisted with the timing with our caterer (Shoup's) so that everything went as planned. Evan worked with my wife and I so that we were able to keep everything on point with our schedule. Before he did anything, he made sure that we were in the right place and ready for the next thing. All th way to the last song, our event was incredible. The dance floor was constantly packed, and if there was a song that was playing that we did not want to hear, we were able to ask Evan and Bob to skip it, and they made a smooth transition into a new song. The lighting was phenomenal. Needless to say, our wedding was a hit and it was partly because of the planning and dudiligence of Velocity Sound. Highly recommended!!!
