I was really sad to hear that West Fork Whiskey will be changing hands very soon. I've had nothing but great experiences here. Everything from the Winter Market, a Galentine's Day Event, tours of the distillery and tastings but especially the food!! The Whiskey drinks and cocktails are excellent as well. They even have cool merch and a distinctive vibe just a fun place and somewhere I enjoyed bringing friends from out of town. Stopped in randomly for a snack on father's day! I tried a delicious Raspberry cider. We also had the Brussel sprouts appetizer this was decent but i do feel like they were over cooked and dry but loads of bacon. I don't mind some charred pieces but these seemed fried crispy and dry. On our first visit to West Fork Whiskey, we were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in for lunch. The receptionist welcomed us and described the center. The center includes a brewery, cocktail lounge, restaurant, event center and tasting bar with gift area. The locally-owned distillery has an upscale industrial vibe. We started at the tasting bar.....duh! The bartender described the three whiskeys that we tasted. Each was delicious. I felt like I was on a great vacation. Then we headed to the restaurant for lunch. We sat at the bar, of course. Allison, the bartender and our server, did an outstanding job. She was friendly, attentive, made suggestions and prepared a fabulous Whiskey Sour. My drink was made either Luxardo cherries. This as the best Whiskey Sour that I've ever had. The lunch menu is slightly different than the dinner menu. I would describe the menu as very upscale bar food. There is a drink menu that was featuring daily specials for the holidays. My husband had their hand breaded tenderloin. The tenderloin was double stacked with perfectly breaded and seasoned tenderloin. He said it the best tenderloin he has had in Hamilton County and among the best in the state. The fries were crispy and good. I had the in-house prepared Broccoli Cheddar soup. There was no doubt that the soup was fresh made. The soup was creamy with gooey cheese. The broccoli was sour fresh. The bowl was huge. I also ordered a small wedge salad, which turned out to be huge. The salad was covered generously with bacon, blue cheese and grape tomatoes. We explored the event center, which was spacious. The outdoor patio was inviting, even on a freezing day. There is plenty of parking in their dedicated lot. Accessible spaces are available near the entrance. West Fork puts Westfield on the map. It was a beautiful day and I had the day off from work, so while out and about running errands, I decided to stop by West Fork Whiskey Westfield to check it out and do a whiskey tasting. I knew the venue was going to change under new management very soon and have a different concept, so I wanted to check it out before it went under new changes. The first impression when I walked into the venue was absolutely beautiful ambiance. The restaurant/bar area was very nice with a beautiful outdoor patio. The event space was decent as well. The distillery had plenty of eye catching moments with the signage and the barrels of whiskey shown in the lobby area of the venue. The whiskey tasting room was very nice and the woman behind the counter was very professional and did a wonderful job explaining the different whiskeys to me. The whiskey tasting was fantastic. All of the whiskeys were very good, especially the 10 year Old Hamer whiskey and the single barrel Old Hamer whiskey. I ended up getting a few bottles of whiskey to take home and enjoy at my leisure because it was that good and they had a Farewell Sale taking place due to the changeover to new management. I'm sorry to see the West Fork Whiskey Westfield concept go because it looked like it was very successful and worthwhile, but I'm glad I was able to pay a visit when I did and taste some whiskey. We learned a lot about the process, tasted quite a few varieties and even got to try "thieving" ourselves. The service was also top notch, with good technical support for check in, friendly and professional. The libations were the main event. We had "The Dave" with our meal, which was a tasty lager paired with a shot of their own bourbon. The food was the one disappointment in an otherwise great dining experience. The mash burger was adequate, but nothing special. The chicken marsala was bland and uninspiring. I had the truffle burger and fries. My friend had the tenderloin with fries. My burger was good which came w/pickles red onion truffle mayo tomato and cheese though I opted for no cheese. I love truffles so was excited to see that in the mayo on it but honestly didn't taste much of the truffle on my sandwich. The fries were ok. I had asked for crispy and honestly they weren't all that crispy but they were still good My friend really enjoyed her sandwich. We sat next to someone we know who got the cheese curds with 2 different sauces and he was kind w laugh to share so we could try them. The sauces were very tasty and the cheese curds looked fabulous. They use a fairly firm cheese so they aren't as gooey as I anticipated but they were still good. Nice and crispy outside. We went to dinner at West Fork Whiskey Co . It's a huge facility with a distillery, a speak easy pub, dining room, bar area, gift shop, tasting center, and banquet rooms. The atmosphere is upscale casual. I had the meatloaf for $24. It came with garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, crispy onion straws and peas. The portion was huge. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great. The meatloaf did not have a lot of filler ... a good thing. It was ok but lacked a bit of flavor. It tasted more like simply ground beef. It would have been difficult to eat without the brown gravy it was served with. My wife who does not like meatloaf in any form took several bites and said it wasn't bad since it was just like a hamburger patty! My wife got the Southwest Chop Salad for $13 and added grilled chicken for an additional $6. It was romaine lettuce with black beans, corn, tortilla strips, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and picked onions. It was served tossed with cilantro chipotle ranch dressing. The dressing had a kick to it. Be warned about the heat to the dressing. And we like spicy! We'd probably get another dressing next time. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Made a reservation to check this place out. Next time Grand Park so if it's sports season it will be over run with kids. Got there early and grabbed a cocktail in the lounge area which was more my speed and quiet and dark after a long day of work. The guys working in the lounge area were super helpful and nice. Ended up with an espresso martini (delicious) that was mixed so well it was almost chocolaty with a touch of espresso. It was very smooth. Got a text our table was ready. We shared a wedge salad. Thought it was odd to have blue cheese and ranch dressing mix so we got blue cheese and went the classic route. It was refreshing and not an overwhelming blue cheese taste. I ended up with the sirloin tip Alfredo and my partner with the hot honey Mac. The Alfredo was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. And the leftovers were even better the next day. Chicken on the Mac had great flavor but the Mac itself wasn't super cheesy or with a lot of taste. Service was a bit slower in here but we weren't in a rush. Where the drinks are neat! My husband and I tried West Fork Whisky for the first time and had a great experience! Our server Brandon, was awesome! He gave great recs for whisky sampling. A few weeks ago I brought my Tia here to check out the space. We had such a great experience. The food was excellent and the Whisky Bloody Mary changed my world. This is a nice, new , hip, trendy spot in Westfield. It is located across from Grand Park, and I believe that it opened in August of this year. They have a huge parking lot. There is also a nice patio area that wraps around the building. The patio has picnic tables out front that you can eat on. There is also a two level dining area inside. The lower dining area also has a full bar with seating. Inside you will also find a gift shop, a reception desk, and a small bar off in the corner behind the gift shop. You will find a tasting room right next to the small bar. I cannot tell you enough how friendly the staff was there. They were very welcoming and attentive. Even though I put it all under one umbrella, it is actually 3 places in one: The Mash House, which is its restaurant, Stave, which is its cocktail lounge, and the West Fork Whiskey Company, which is everything else.The Mash House has daily specials and on Sunday's they have what you call Sunday Fun Days, where they serve brunch. The place also has a decent sized private event area, which is pretty cool and has roll up doors that can be opened up to the adjoining patio. It is a nice place to host a special event such as a wedding rehearsal dinner, sports banquet or a birthday party, they have been known to host 5K runs, and Halloween events there as well. This is a brewery, so they have their own signature whiskey and cocktails that you can purchase separately or with your meal. They have a compact menu and serve typical pub food and southern favorites such as salads, tenderloins, chicken, burgers, wraps, and bologna sandwiches. They also have grits, veggies, and cornbread too. This place has everything you need and want in a pub and more. The space is very trendy and even though it has an upscale kind of feel; It is casual. I've been so excited for this new location to open and was even more delighted when I learned that one of Indy's top chefs would be running the restaurant. If you've never been before, here's the bird's eye view. This is a huge building on the northside of Indy that holds... + The Mash House: a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating for all ages. Much of the food is locally-sourced and is super high quality. Kudos to Chef Carlos! The double smashburger is made with local, grass-fed Fischer Farms patties and is truly one of the best burgers I've ever had. I've also fallen in love with the chicken wrap, corn puppies, parmesan fries, and tomato salad. + Stave Cocktail Lounge: intimate cocktail room with a speakeasy-like feel. This lounge is 21+ only and offers cocktails made with different spirits (more than whiskey, but I recommend the whiskey ones!), their new lager beer made with Sun King, and wines. They even have an espresso martini made with whiskey. + Event venue: huge, beautiful room with with massive windows, hanging chandeliers, and fits a few hundred people. Kahn's does the event catering. + Classroom: for group whiskey tastings and tours. You can arrive and try to sign up for next available or book in advance if you have a large group. + Tasting bar / merchandise store in lobby: where you can pick up a drink while you wait for a table or try a whisky before purchasing a bottle. The drinks they offer are excellent, as is the new lager beer they made. When you walk in, you'll see a welcome booth that can direct you, and everyone there has been so friendly too. Had been waiting for this place to open for a while. Was excited to finally try it. It's way up there, farther than I thought, but it's really nice. Everything is shiny and new. Everyone was friendly and nice and attentive. They have a nice cocktail menu featuring their spirits. The food menu is small, a couple entrees and a couple sandwiches. The restaurant is brightly lit. We didn't make it into the cocktail bar, so that gives us a reason to go back. The Miller Farms Chicken was excellent. Crispy skin with some hot honey on it. Along with your normal rickhouse and distilling area. Came today for the Honey, Peach, Double Oak Hugh Hamer release. The honey is fireeeeee. Dangerous at 103 proof. Recommend coming and checking this place out! I'm still iffy on some of the bourbon products West Fork makes due to the young age, but this whole facility is awesome and I'll be watching for West Fork is putting out in the future!
