DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DJ SERG HIMSELF DID NOT SHOW UP WHEN THIS WAS IN OUR CONTRACT! I never write reviews, but DJ Serg Entertainment acted so unprofessionally, I feel that I have to. I don't understand how they can call themselves a legitimate company when they are out here scamming people, bringing people in because of the name and promising DJ Serg himself for a higher price and then sending someone else in his place without even informing anyone without any explanation either. When I first reached out to his assistant Marissa I said I was hesitant about booking considering I saw some other reviews saying Serg just did not show but she assured me that that was just because of COVID and how scheduling conflicts happened. She reassured me he would be there. I really value integrity and respect, and that's just not what I felt I received from this company. In addition to Serg not showing up, the microphone they provided went in and out during my entire ceremony, I was so upset. No one could hear anything that the priest even said. In addition to all of this, Marissa was very unresponsive to emails throughout the entire process. I had to follow up several times about things I had asked for weeks ago. She would then acknowledge she had seen my email, but had never responded. She left certain songs off of our list even though I typed out everything for them. I mentioned this several times and asked for a new type up including them which she never sent. Finally a few days before the wedding I had to call and we went over the songs on the phone and she assured me she added them, however, they were never played. All of the only few songs that my dad really wanted to hear. She even missed one of our appts in the beginning saying a Sunday at 1 pm for a phone consult, my fiancé and I blocking out our day to schedule around this and we called and called and she did not show. Then she said sorry and to call back Thursday or Friday the next week and I did both days and she never answered. After another call a few days later she eventually got back to me saying she was sick. The DJ that arrived was very nice, but the Dancing on a Cloud that we paid extra for with CO2 did not come on until halfway through our first dance. In addition, my name for the photobooth on the pictures that were being printed out for our guests had my name spelled incorrectly until my sister in law went up there and noticed it and then they changed the spelling. We were only booking with DJ Serg himself and if we knew he would not be there, did have another DJ in mind. This vendor was the only one that caused me grief during the planning process and in the end, did not even deliver what they promised. Like I said before, if you're looking for a vendor with integrity, look elsewhere. Upon contacting them asking them for a refund for the money I paid extra to have Serg there specifically, they did refund me that portion. However, like I said the only reason I booked this company was for Serg himself, so getting that small money back means nothing. read more

DJ Serg Entertainment describes themselves as the leaders in the entertainment industry and some (certainly not all) of their reviews are decent. From the beginning, DJ Serge Entertainment was challenging to work with. We waited weeks to hear back from their assistant, who I found to be very rude and unapologetic. Once we finally get in contact with her two weeks before our wedding, we spoke regarding details and song choices. I asked to see the completed forms that we filled out with her that was sent to the DJ, but she refused. Finally, two days before the wedding, after many many tries to speak with the person who would be DJing, we speak with Frankie. This conversation entailed the exact conversation with had with their assistant, so I thought everything was well understood. The wedding day comes, and the second I step foot into the cocktail hour room, two men come up to me, introducing themselves as the DJs, and wanted to review the night in detail in another room. I was taken aback - these individuals did not look like they belonged at anyone's wedding and the fact they needed to review the night in detail really terrified me (ex. they thought it was plated dinner, but was not, and clearly stated in every conversation!). I told them I had answered their questions two days prior, and if they wanted to talk two months ago about details that could have been arranged. They then proceed to go up to my husband asking to review the flow of the night since they're completely unaware. I told our event planner, and she said she spoke with them, albeit not a good conversation at all apparently. Cocktail hour ends, and the guests are seated. A sound check was clearly not performed as high-pitched ringing and extremely loud music played at once. Then, we are getting ready to enter for our first dance. The DJs played the wrong song, completely ruining this moment for us. Frankie ends the night saying he was doing as he was told, and it was clear both the MC and DJ were under the influence. When conversing after the wedding, we had unpleasant experiences, to say the least. I only leave positive reviews. This is the first negative one, completely warranted. I really wish I read these reviews before my wedding instead of going based off my sisters and uncles wedding. I met with Serg himself and signed a contract that SERG will Dj my wedding. My sisters' wedding was so good and the music was great- i wanted exactly what she had so i got the same package deal and SERG was going to Dj it. Well.......that did not happen, he did not come. He sent three other guys i never even met or was ever told about. The Dj who was there was not worth the money that my parents paid, well because they paid for Serg and this guy was no where near his skill. He barely played any of the music we wanted, he did not know how to transition into songs smoothly, he forgot my dance with my mother and my husband had to go on stage to tell him, my guest who caught the bouquet told me days later that he said he would be her date to all her weddings- like what?! Our initials were not in the center or the dance floor, no one even knew we had it because it was by the stage. I called to complain and they took days to get back to me and said that they are closed on weekends but i sent several emails during the week and still had no response. They had the nerve to want to refund me $300 dollars for the inconvenience- which is crazy because the dj was not worth any of my parents money. They ended up sending $500 to my parents and i am still annoyed over it because i believe my parents are owed a lot more then that. For over 20 years I've always known Serg not only be the best DJ, but the best MC overall. When selecting a dj, you have to consider that the personality and the voice behind the booth is going to engage, uplift and motivate people to get their asses on the dance floor. When you envision your wedding party, you envision everyone dancing, laughing and having an awesome time. Right? I've been to many weddings and that's not always the case because the personality and voice behind the booth is bland. Sure, anyone can mix a list of preferred songs but a true professional DJ can scan a crowd and intuitively know what suites that specific crowd. Nowadays digital DJ's come a dime a dozen. I knew Serg since he was spinning vinyl and would carry boxes of records to a venue. What I'm saying is when selecting a dj, make sure you choose one that has the personality to uplift and motivate your crowd. My motto for my wedding day was "This is my day and I'm going to live it exactly how I want" and for me that's was to stay on the dance floor the entire night. The only time I left was to use the bathroom. Had it not been for Serg, I'm not sure if my wedding party vision would've come to life. If I could give them no stars i would. I can honestly say I am highly disappointed with DJ Serg. Nothing that was promised or in my contract was delivered. Serg never showed to DJ at my wedding. Instead he sent two other guys in his place (a DJ and an MC) although I paid for the platinum package which was suppose to include two DJ's and one MC. I was promised a DJ who was suppose to be really good who never showed up as well. When I asked for the second DJ they told me he was on his way which by the way never arrived. My ceremony was delayed because the DJ was not at his station to start the processional. Throughout the wedding he repeated songs and played genres I had requested not to be played. I also had to interrupt his everlasting conversation because my guest started to leave thinking the wedding was over due to no music playing. DJ Serg was the MAN! I went to a wedding for a friend and he was the DJ. He was personable, funny, and played a great variety of music. He wasn't cheesey or corny. I left the wedding impressed, having always dreaded and loathed wedding DJ's. Fast forward 2 years, and I'm engaged. We're looking for a DJ and he comes to mind. We booked an appointment and DJ Serg sat with us and hashed out the details of our event. He was in touch with my culture (Italian) and my wife's (Filipino). He was comforting and professional.Accommodating, understanding and reasonable. These words describe him best. His services varied and he went through all the options. He assured us he would be there and make sure the event went smoothly as possible. It also helped that he was well-connected with our reception site (the Surf Club). We supplied him with a playlist. They played almost EVERYTHING. He was personally at our event, emceeing and mixing the music. He kept the party and the event moving smoothly. You know, the day of your wedding is hectic and you worry over all the details. He helped to alleviate that. I cannot thank him enough. I whole-heartedly reccommend him for any event, especially weddings. His prices are extremely reasonable and you get great entertainment for you money. read more

DJ Serg Entertainment helped to make our wedding the great time that it was. Not only did they get pretty much all of our guests up on the dance floor...but they also helped to accommodate our ceremony music outdoors. We were really particular about making sure we had the right music to give everyone a good time...and they really did. You should know that they are great at dance music--which I really wanted--and also incorporated 70s / 80s / 90s in the way we asked for. So if that's what you're looking for, then DJ Serg is perfect. My family is Italian and I also wanted to incorporate some Italian music in and they did very well. They balanced out the music to our liking and kept everyone up and dancing. They were also great about checking in with me and my groom to make sure everything was going the way that we wanted, which I thought was a really nice touch. We did not have Serg himself at our wedding, but he made that clear with us from the start that he was not available that day. It seems that other posters complained about not having DJ Serg specifically--but we were very happy with the DJs that came to our wedding and thought they did a really great job. Make sure you book them early and if like other posters you specifically want Serg, I'd make that clear--but again, we were really happy with Lenny & Dominic as well. If you're particular about things, I'd also suggest using the sheet they provide to tell them what you like and what music you want to have because they were really good about sticking to it. I still look at pictures from our wedding and are amazed and so happy about the pictures of people dancing--we really had such an amazing time and I feel a lot of it should be attributed to the music and to DJ Serg's team keeping it alive. Beyond this, the DJ and MC are so incredibly talented and kept my friends and family dancing the entire evening. BUYER BEWARE!! I hired DJ Serg almost a year in advance to do my wedding, paying for the highest and most expensive exclusive package ensuring he would be my DJ and he no call no showed on the biggest and most important day of my life!!! Much to my surprise as he failed to even reach out to me prior to my wedding day, as I was about to enter in with the bridal party a random DJ from a completely different company came to line us up. I was so confused who he was, and he said that he didn't know where DJ Serg was and that he might show up later on. Show up later on?? I paid for the exclusive package that ensured Serg would be my DJ! I thought it was strange when I did my final meeting a few weeks before the wedding and I met with the office assistant, and not the DJ. My husband called weeks prior asking to speak with him, and Serg also never returned the call. Not only did Serg fail to contact me to let me know he wasn't coming to my wedding, but the DJ he sent was not worth the hefty amount I paid!!! I paid for Serg's expertise, and this DJ they sent messed up a ton of things. He messed up the entrance and announced our ring bearer twice and when the maid of honors and best man came out he didn't even correct himself. Also our names were supposed to be lit in the middle of the dance floor, and first it was at the top and you could barely see the names, then he put it on the ceiling!!! The mother/son dance was forgotten, and my husband was dancing with his mom close to 11:30pm!!!! Also when I met with the office assistant prior to the wedding she asked me what songs I didn't want played and I said NO cheesy line dancing or cliché party songs. What do I hear playing? The twist and runaround sue!! Unbelievable. When I emailed my disappointment in their unprofessionalism and failure to contact me regarding the changes to my wedding, as well as everything that went wrong they offered me $500 dollars back. I feel I should've gotten reimbursed way more, and I feel like I got scammed, and dismissed. She went on to say he had an unforeseeable event out of his control, which is why he wasn't there. So why wouldn't he contact me and tell me this and assure me he was sending me his next best guy and possibly give me that guys contact info so I can touch base with him before my WEDDING DAY!!? Then the woman said he was out of town, but the DJ that night said he might come later on? If he weren't in town, how would he come later on? Nothing adds up, and it all sounds so shady. I'm very disappointed in how everything was handled, especially because when I met with Serg I loved what he had to offer, and never suspected that he would screw me over. ONE OF THE BEST DJS IN THE BUSINESS!!! My husband's family has been using DJ Serg for years, so of course we were going to book him for our wedding that occurred on July 14, 2017. Our first meeting consisted of talking with DJ Serg about what were looking for, which included a monogram, photo montage, and a photo booth. Emails and phone calls after the initial meeting were dealt with Kira. Kira always answered our questions in a timely fashion and had extreme patience with us when filling out the day of the wedding timeline questionnaire. Kira is aces all the way!! DJ Serg played everything from swing to rock and roll and mixed in a few Irish and Spanish dances! The floor was never empty as our guests, including myself and my now husband, were constantly dancing. Along with DJ Serg, we also had the opportunity to hire a violinist for 2 hours during our reception. Every single one of our guests ranted and raved about how great the violinist played along with the songs DJ Serg was playing. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DJ Serg to anyone who is looking for a DJ, who not only knows his music, but is extremely personable and professional! We experienced DJ SERG a number of times before hiring him for our engagement party at Mulino's at Lake Isle in Eastchester so we had high expectations. DJ SERG did not disappoint! Despite three confirmations, DJ Serg did not show up to my event, and never called to cancel or explain what had happened. Instead, he sent two unprofessional goofs in his place, who took breaks without asking, invited themselves to dinner at $110 per plate, had to be dragged off of the casino tables and repeatedly asked to stay near the DJ booth. The goofs arrived under dressed . . . no tie, no jacket, an open collar shirt that did not fit well, strained at the belly, and did not tuck into the pants. Plus they sat on top of the speakers. facing my guests, and texted during the speeches!!!
