Saturday November 17 2018 such a bad place to book an event we paid per plate and they did not serve us like they should. They made the food as a buffet. No table service. When we paid for per plate we expected to get serve at the table. They did not serve us the cake we brought instead we had to serve it on ouur own. It was suppose to be open bar for wine and beer. The bartender would only serve one beer to certain ppl and multiple to others. I guess the bartender was mad because no one was tipping but we alreadypaid a 2000 tip to the bartender and server!!!!!!! We had cake left over threw out the 2000 dollar cake we had order. Bartender was given certain people attitude. We wanted extra cups for the wine we had at the table and was refuse with an attitude. $17000 and we had such a bad service. Wedding planning is not fun. We visited at least 12 venues before deciding on Mansion. Having a party of 72 total guests, the venue was the perfect size. June 5th 2016, we had our wedding. Because of the rain, we decided against having our ceremony outside. Rosa, Michael and the rest of the Mansion staff, did an INCREDIBLE job making sure the ballroom was perfect for us to share this moment with our friends and family. I can not stress enough how easy, committed and warm the staff are here and how the owners cater to everything. The location is intimate, private, beautiful. I have got nothing but the highest compliments on the food (Michael was right - probably the best French toast EVER at a wedding brunch). I want to add - I have a nephew with Autism, whose anxiety ran very high for the wedding. I had a large family party at Mansion on Broadway. Mike the owner was outstanding. He made sure everything was perfect. The guests had a great time and the food was amazing. Came here for a Wedding and the only reason I did not give Mansion 5 Stars was because they could not control the room temperature in the Main Dinning hall - otherwise this place is fine to hold a special event. The staff who worked the event were great! The food was not 5 Stars but 3-4 Stars. Now back to the room temperature - the A/C was blasting cold air above us and my teeth started to chatter and others at my table were also cold. They did lower the A/C after I asked them too, but that only lasted for a while before the A/C kicked back "on" again - this time one of the guys at my table got up and asked them to lower the A/C - this went on most of the night. Mansion may want to get an expert in to check the A/C system. Now for the food - the cocktail hour was great with lots of small bites from Mini Burgers to Mini Hot Dogs Yum! But the main meal was OK. I asked for the Prime Rib, Medium Rare and the waitress told me with a sigh "we only cook it one way, Medium Well" how crazy is that? So, I ordered it anyway and it tasted just fine, it was easy to cut and the meat was fresh. However, I heard from the others at my table that the Chicken was dry tasting, good thing I ordered the Prime Rib. Note: a few things I noticed about the inside of this place besides the A/C being off wack 1) The Women's Bathroom could have been a little more neater - rolls of toilet paper were sitting ontop of the tank cover 2) The overhead lighting in the "back" of the Main room was very dark. I am surprised anyone could see what they were eating. Good thing we sat in the middle of the room and had plenty of overhead lighting from the two chandeliers. All and all, I would consider this place for an event if I had one in the future, and I hope Management would consider making a few minor changes. read more

My husband and I are so very happy with our March, 2014 welcome dinner for out of town wedding guests at the Mansion on Broadway. From our first meeting, we were confident we would have a beautiful event. The staff and owner Mike were professional, helpful, and wonderful to work with. They were always available to answer questions--no matter how small. The planning process was easy and smooth and put us completely at ease. We were especially excited to choose our menu--the choices were excellent, and we were able to put together a meal that was perfect for our guests. The price was very competitive and fair and we got an excellent value. The venue is beautiful and there was plenty of room to comfortably accommodate our 100 guests--there is also lots of on-site parking. We opted for a cocktail hour followed by a buffet dinner. During the cocktail hour, our guests loved the passed hors d'oeuvres, which were plentiful and delicious. After cocktail hour, we moved into the main ballroom, which was beautifully decorated. We provided some pillar and small votive candles, and Mia turned them into beautiful centerpieces that fit perfectly with the feel of our event. We didn't have a DJ, but were able to bring an ipod with music we had selected to play over the Mansion's sound system. Our dinner buffet was delicious--highlights included the eggplant rollatini, gouda mac and cheese, cod stuffed with risotto and the mashed potato bar. For dessert we had the fried oreos and ricotta donuts, which were excellent. Our event flowed really nicely, and our guests had a wonderful time. We were able to sit back and enjoy our time without having to worry about any of the details. The staff was professional and very attentive both during and leading up to our event. We are so very happy with our experience at the Mansion on Boradway and highly recommend it! read more

From the warmth of the fire place, to the glow of candles all around, it had a romantic feel, a personal feel...it felt like home. The food was incredible and the staff, nothing short of amazing. Mike and Mia were great, easy to work with, in fact, we booked the place well over a year in advanced, and only had a few meetings... I knew from the first meeting that I had nothing to worry about. The decision on a wedding venue doesn't come easy and being adults with college age children we wanted something special. Michael and his staff provided an open and inviting environment to explore the different possibilities and brought more ideas and choices to the table. With Michael there everything went off on cue which allowed us to really enjoy every single moment. In one night, months of planning and all the details came together to give us, our family & friends memories that will last a life time. The magnitude of how well everything went started to sink in when we returned from our honeymoon to hear our guests' compliment on the evening and the venue. We were so happy to hear about the great service, the delicious food and charismatic bartenders. In the photos "The Mansion" shows it character as a beautiful backdrop. From the stairs to the fire places the venue is simply beautiful. We now see details that we didn't notice during the planning from the silk wallpaper to the coffered ceilings. We just hosted our wedding reception here and feel very ambivalent about the experience - in fact, we'd like to give the venue 5 stars for some aspects and 0 stars for others. 5 stars: Most importantly, our guests had a great experience. The servers were absolutely delightful and attentive, and the food was delicious in the end (although what was served did not correspond exactly to what we had agreed upon in advance). You'll get a lot of flexibility from working with this place. For example, they worked with us to arrange a cocktail hour offsite and accommodated a vegetarian menu for us, which was outside their comfort zone. The owner, event planner, and chef seem to be lovely and well-meaning people, but working with them was just not worth the stress and hassle. 0 stars: Dealing with the planning and logistics of our event was a horrible experience. A few illustrative examples of disasters: 1) our contract listed a start time of 5:30, which was also confirmed in an email, but upon arrival at 5:30, we're told by the owner that the party started at 6 and so the place wasn't ready. This left our guests to wait outside in the cold while things were pulled together. We never got an acknowledgment or apology over their mistake. 2) We sent an extremely clear bulleted list of decoration "nos" (e.g., NO plastic glitter pumpkins and fake plastic fall leaves) but walked in to find those exact objects on the mantels and around the fireplace. 3) My fiance and I took off of work early one day to participate in a 5 PM conference call with the owner etc, and the call ended up starting over 30 mins late because they weren't ready - no apology or recognition that this might have been inconvenient for us. If you book here, you can get a lot of (hard-earned) flexibility and great service from the staff the day of your event, but expect that you'll likely be dealing with a disorganized, overwhelmed, unresponsive, and -at times- unprofessional owner and event planner. If you are planning a cookie-cutter event where you want use their default menus and like their general aesthetic, this is probably a great place for you. Otherwise, be prepared to work hard and essentially fight to have the event you want. read more

Avoid, has ZERO Ambiance (cocktails outside by the highway! lol) - Although recently renovated, this place is cheap and dingy with little to no ambiance - lots of better places elsewhere in WP for the same price, but better atmosphere. While planning an award ceremony and dinner for over 100 guests, I visited a number of local venues and decided on the Mansion on Broadway based on location, ambiance and value. The staff (Mike, Cindy and Rosa) were professional, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. They made the planning process stress-free and were professional and attentive from the first phone call through the day of our event. We chose to go with a cocktail hour and a sit-down dinner. During the cocktail hour, our guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres, an international cheese board and a pasta station. After cocktail hour, we moved into the main dining room for dinner, which was included a pre-plated salad, choice of three entrees and coffee/tea and an assortment of cookies. The dinner choices of Chicken Scarpariello, Prime Rib and Eggplant Rollantini were delicious by all accounts. We provided small votive candles and Poinsettias and Rosa turned them into attractive centerpieces. Just one hiccup to report: One side of the room did not get offered coffee/tea with dessert. I don't know if many people noticed but at least one did and let me know ASAP. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at the Mansion on Broadway and highly recommend it.
