I actually first knew about Chris because he was the DJ and MC at my friend's wedding. He had left such a great impression on me that I told myself that I would want him to DJ/MC at my future wedding... and this was YEARS ago! I just remember the reception was fun and I had such a great time on the dancefloor! Five years later it is finally my turn to get married and I knew I had to reach out to Chris for my wedding. My husband and I scheduled a virtual meeting with him and loved how friendly and helpful he was from the beginning. Booking him was a no brainer. We also had a final meeting before the wedding where we came up with a timeline of the day. This meeting put my mind at SO MUCH ease because it's really hard to imagine what your day is going to look like before it happens. But going through the timeline together really helped me visualize everything. He also gave a lot of input as to what he thought might flow better based on his experience. My only concern before the wedding was how he would actually manage doing both MC and DJ at the same time. But I was silly for having my doubts because everything was seamless! Chris played all the requested music for the ceremony, then he played fun music during our cocktail hour, and then where he really shined was our reception. I realized that if you don't have a good and organized MC, your reception could potentially be really awkward. But Chris ran the reception so seamlessly, and handled all of our song/ announcements requests so perfectly. He even included some really memorable games that I'm glad we did (which we decided on during our final meeting). I got SO many compliments on how fun the reception was and many people commented on how great of a job Chris did. He was also flexible when random things happened. I hate to brag, nah I don't, but my wife and I picked the absolute best vendors for our wedding. Chris Chan is not an exception. The only regret I have is that my wife got way too drunk way too early to enjoy the party that Chris was running. He was a pleasure to work with and closely collaborated with us to make sure that the playlist of our wedding night was exactly how we wanted it. He kept things on schedule, interacted with the guests, and really just kept the party going all night long. He even fulfilled our special request to wear that fresh ass burgundy suit. Though the wife was blacked out, I was pretty drunk myself and I have to do a lot of remembering by way of videos that our guests recorded throughout the night. Chris Chan was our DJ + MC for the night and we were impressed by his professionalism, adaptability, and experience. He was able to adapt to new announcements and requests on our very hectic wedding day with no hand-holding or forewarning. He made several important decisions on-the-fly using his best professional judgment to keep a majority of our guests on the dance floor and we could trust that he knew what to say and how to say it when we needed it. He was even able to set up our private dance which we threw together at the last moment with some spare time before the grand entrance. As an inexperienced couple looking through tens of DJ + MC packages, it is very difficult to distinguish one DJ + MC from another based on a few clips but I am glad we chose Chris as our DJ + MC. Guests praised Chris' attitude and approach. We didn't hear a single bad thing about him. Given my family, it is very difficult to keep the dance floor alive but Chris managed to do it without asking us how. As far as I'm concerned, hiring Chris is a good choice to check off the DJ + MC selection and know you're in good hands. Chris did above and beyond at our wedding. He was amazing!! I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a solid DJ that wants to keep on schedule and keep the crowd entertained. He did both our ceremony and reception, and had a superb performance at both. During the ceremony, all the songs were played on cue and there were no awkward transitions. Overall, the ceremony went very smoothly. As for our reception, he dismissed the tables for our buffet line in a very timely manner, and even played the "hunger games" where he played songs and each table had to make up a fun chant and raise their hand to guess the name of the song! It was so much fun! He also made the last two runner ups rock paper scissors on the dance floor with some dramatic music - it made us laugh so much. I had the pleasure of having Chris as the DJ of my wedding. Weddings can be stressful, expecialy trying to make sure everyone is having fun and things are staying to a timeline. After meeting with Chris to go through a full timeline and how we want the wedding day to go, I felt so much more at ease. Chris has done houndreds of these so he was a wealth of knowledge. The one big thing that surprised me is how Chris is much more than a DJ, I would say he is more of an MC. He was constantly engaged with our wedding guests and made games up to get people out on to the dance floor. He is just so natural in front of a large group of people. A great example of how well he has things figured out is when the guy caught the guarder he played a little NFL music clip. It's just all of these little things (there are so many more great examples also). There wasn't a person sitting down after dinner, everyone was on the dance floor. Yet, he still kept everything moving on time perfectly, making sure everything happened when it needed, to like toasts and speeches. I have been coordinating events since 2011 and by far, Chris has been my FAVORITE DJ/Emcee to work with! You can always count on him to be prepared, to know what he's doing and to keep the party going! I've used DJ Zi entertainment for a corporate Christmas party and, most recently for my own wedding. Chris did a fantastic job with the Christmas party--he is attentive and aware and really reads the room. The music was mellow when people were trying to chat, and after everyone let loose a bit, he increased the tempo and got everyone excited. This experience led me to choose him for my wedding. My wife and I met with Chris several months before the wedding where we shared playlists and our thoughts on the vibe we wanted. Chris has a broad range, from playing my favorite 70s, 80s and 90s on the dance floor to cranking the hip hop at the after party. In addition to his DJ skills, he is punctual and on top of everything. I didn't have to worry about a thing--he worked with the wedding coordinator, and even the night before when I told him to add an appropriate song for the walk down the aisle (and didn't have one picked out for him), he made a great selection and everything played perfectly throughout the ceremony. Also, we were at an outdoor venue with a wall on one side and an open view on the other and 200 guests, and he had the volume perfectly adjusted from the start. No one found it deafening, and everyone could hear clearly. My wedding could not have gone more perfectly, and Chris was amazing. I highly recommend him for any event, whether it's an 80-person Christmas party, a 230-person wedding with three separate locations that he needs to move in between, or an all night dance party for 50 of your closest buds. read more

Let me go off first and tell you that Chris is absolutely AMAZING. He really brought our whole wedding together. I honestly feel like our wedding would have fallen apart without him. While planning our wedding, my husband remembered Chris from a year prior when he saw him DJ at a friend's wedding. We've been to A LOT of weddings so for Chris to stand out among the crowd of DJs we've seen means a lot. From the start, Chris was very professional and helped make our reception planning so easy. We self coordinated up to the wedding day so his organization and knowledge of reception timing was crucial to our planning. He basically set up our reception timeline for us because he knew exactly how long each event will probably take. We wanted a "rated PG" version of songs so (being a former Disney DJ), he accommodated our request while choosing fun songs that had all our guests on the dance floor, including a coordinated dance routine that he taught. We have some great shots of myself, my husband, my mom, and a full dance floor dancing to Thriller, it was so much fun!
