I have purchased about $6000 bucks of stuff from these guys over the last two years. They have a good range and prices are okay. But they have poor service. They are frequently unable to demo products in the store, so you would be buying blind (might as well buy online), and their turn around is very slow. 5 weeks to attend to a minor repair because they have a slack repair dept that is always behind. So just another retail outlet focused entirely on selling you stuff and nothing much to support it. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the way you treat yoir customers. Lack of communication and responsibility. I purchased this item off DJ City Ebay Online as I know I would have this by Friday being today for a gig. No one has gotten back to me as promised yesterday as to the status of my order. I have purchased from DJ City on many Occassions so has my Band Members, I will tell them to Boycott DJ City as a Supplier. read more

I bought a microphone and a mixer from these guys. They advertise 'Fast Delivery' and 48 Hour Shipment so I thought it would arrive on time. It took 9 days to arrive. I asked them to refund it as it was late and they refused. I posted on their Facebook page and they deleted the posts read more

I ordered a smoke machine, it was cheap, the shipping was super slow and took a week and a half to arrive. Of course that was after my first gig in many years. Not only did I get what I paid for it was slow and late. read more

I'd purchased a Gemini CDMP 7000 controller from the store. The controller was defective and would not play majority of tracks loaded from a USB, instead the device would output static. On top of that the left side of the device would often freeze up requiring the reboot of the whole unit in order to restore function. Along with that when plugged in so it can be used with VirtualDJ Pro Unlimited, the unit would register on the software, however even with the correct mappings of the device, no input from the CD players or mixer would register on the software. Finally, the unit took over 30 seconds to display BPM and other track info, majority of times this information would not display at all. When I contacted the store about returning the unit and getting a refund as I had an urgent gig to play that weekend, they told me to bring it into the store when the store manager was present. I took the unit back to the Smithfield store and demonstrated the defects to the store manager, Pete. Pete very quickly noticed that the were defects with the unit and offered me a refund. He tried to process the refund through the EFTPOS machine, didnt work, and he said he couldnt give me a cash refund, but instead he'd contact head office to have me refunded via bank transfer. He ensured me that I'd get a call back from him later that day to update me on the situation, I never got a call back. Infact I never got a call back until I went back into the store the following weekend, which is when he told me I was NOT going to get a refund, when I asked why he told me head office had told him that I would NOT get a refund but instead store credit. I contacted "head office" which is infact the Dandenong store, and I was again told by all team members that I would not get a refund, when I asked to speak to the store manager or anyone of higher power, each team member I spoke to claimed they were the store manager. I kept on being told that I'd get callbacks etc. but I never got a single callback, not even an email. 2 weeks later I decided to take the matter up with Fair Trading NSW, I did not hear from them for two weeks until today when I was contacted by them. They basically told me theyd spoken to Timothy from the Dandenong store, and that he had ensured them that the faults Pete and I had uncovered and confirmed, were infact not "major defects" and that they could easily be fixed by a simple repair. At this point they said they could not assist me in getting a refund and for me to take the matter up with NCAT (which I very much intend to do). I contacted Timothy from the Dandenong store straight after and he refused to issue me a refund, repeating the same lines over and over again "the unit did not have major defects and we are willing to repair the unit or replace the unit for you". I'd already spent $1300 on a DDJ SX2 the week I returned the unit so I want neither of those options. When I asked him to define what a major defect was, he dodged the question and repeated those same lines over until he finally hung up the phone on me. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

I ordered a bubble machine for my 3 year old cause I'm a lazy parent like that lol, and it works great and very happy, only problem is they did not follow the instructions I carefully submitted for the shipping and so it took an extra 5 days to actually pick it up from the post rather than getting it delivered! read more

DJ Shitty is the worst company I've ever dealt with, ordered speakers and lights over a month ago and they still haven't arrived, they are the most unprofessional, dodgy, dishonest thieves in the industry, avoid at all costs. read more

Poor customer service. In fact, several staff are arrogant and plain rude. Operation reeks of a backyard operation, they'll take your money for a sale, but anything over and above, you're out of luck. Has the misfortune of faulty gear, they were advised within the first week but they still demanded $200 to get it fixed - claiming that warranty doesn't cover them testing the problem? what the? read more

Avoid these guys. They'll take your money but when it comes to customer service they score 0/10. It really couldn't be worse.

Horrible customer service! They refused to replace my keyboard under warranty as the usb port was damaged, but did not tell me before I spent $20 shipping the keyboard back. They then wanted to charge me $30 plus $80 inspection fee if I wanted the broken keyboard back. I was never told that the broken usb port wouldn't be fixed under warranty when I described the problem to them up-front before wasting money on shipping. read more
