Halleluja!!! A pharmacy that actually greets you when you walk in. The second time, they greeted me BY NAME. I felt like I was walking into an episode of Cheers! In fact, it didn't even look like a pharmacy - beautiful light fixtures, special flooring, apothecary glass jars and dark cherry shelves. I automatically thought -- specialty pharmacy -- expensive. Wrong!! The same brand name medication they quoted me $150 (WITH insurance) at Walgreens, the pharmacist and co-owner (Alfred) quoted me $10. How can that be? They shop different manufacturers until they get YOU the best price. Yes, same pill, same brand name, just a different manufacturer. Jin, also co-owner and pharmacist gave me a tour of the pharmacy and taught me about the benefits of CBD products for aches and pains. They have an entire line of drinks, balms, oils - even for pets! Plus, local honey and elderberry syrup (helps with seasonal allergies, boost your immune system, etc.) from other local businesses they support. You definitely won't find this at CVS. Can't get to Cary? No problem. They'll ship it to you or hand-deliver for free. I've been a customer at every chain pharmacy at some point in life - CVS, Rite Aid and, most recently, Walgreens. Even prior to COVID, the pharmacists and pharmacy techs were a nightmare to deal with. Understaffed, underskilled and, generally, miserable - almost as if you're bothering them. Staff aside, something was always "wrong" - either the computers were down, drive-through was down (during COVID!) or they supposedly never received the RX from my doctor when I saw the doctor send it through myself. If you're still reading this or have read any of my other reviews, the service, the prices, the quality and the overall experience is why I'm sold on supporting small, local business like DJ's and slowly but surely "cutting the cord" with most chains. GO RIGHT NOW! Even if you're not ready to make the switch, check them out. It's a cool store. Oh, and by the way, if you are ready to make the switch, they'll do everything for you to transfer your RXs seamlessly. read more

I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I switched to DJ's about three years ago and wish I'd done it sooner. Their customer service is incredible compared to the big brand name pharmacy I was using before. They know me and they actively look out for me. I thought DJ's would be more expensive than my mail order pharmacy, but the amount I pay is similar or sometimes even less so I switched those prescriptions to DJ's too. (I should not have trusted the amount my mail order pharmacy pricing tool said I'd pay to get my prescriptions locally.) I also very much appreciate DJ's delivery service when I can't make it to the pharmacy. I'm so glad I found this place and made the switch. read more

I visited DJ's Pharmacy for a vaccination today and I was immediately impressed by their customer service. I was greeted at the door and they were very warm, friendly, and efficient...which is something I can't remember ever experiencing in large chain pharmacies. My appointment was kept right on time without any waiting and everything was clearly explained to me ahead of time. The pharmacy itself has a very cool vibe from the lights to the shelves. I noticed the lights from outside before I even walked in. Everything in the pharmacy was super clean, new, and very well organized. They carry a lot of local goods- like honey and elderberry syrup as well as CBD products. Alfred administered my vaccination and I honestly didn't even notice I'd received the shot until it was all over with. I had kind of dreading it ahead of time because it's been several years since I'd had a shot of any kind....but, it was super quick, painless, and easy. They had me stick around for awhile to make sure I was safe to drive before I left. Although my visit today was fairly brief for the vaccine, I can't wait to go back and I'd love to switch my pharmacy needs over to DJ's! Cary has been needing a place like this! read more

Full disclosure-The scope of my experience with DJ'S has been limited to vaccination shots, but very positive! It is a family owned, compound pharmacy located about 1/4 mile from the High house rd-Cary Parkway interchange. We found out about DJ'S and how to get on their vaccine list from a friend. WOW! It truly ended our nightmare of navigating thru government websites, CVS, Walgrens websites too. As an added bonus, we were able to get vaccinated in the comfort of our hometown! No driving all over NC to get pricked in the arm. At DJ's, I was pleasantly greeted by the Pharmacist's wife. She recorded my information on both visits. Alfred, one of the Pharmacists, administered my shot both times, and he was equally professional and friendly. They handled all of the vaccine reporting and even left me a V-mail on my Birthday. DJs is awesome! If you want a pharmacist who knows you, actually cares, pays attention to the drugs you are being prescribed (to look out for your health), and even delivers, look no further! We were life-long, big-box pharmacy users until recently and decided to give them a try. Boy are we glad we did. Our experience so far has been outstanding. We've gotten our flu shots (for us and our kids) and filled multiple prescriptions over the last few months and have had nothing but very positive experiences. They have a great texting/contact system to let you know immediately when your prescription is ready and will call you if there is any issue or delay. Also have a great system for paying online if you have them delivered. Dump those big-boxes and switch your prescriptions now, you won't be sorry! read more

I switched from Walgreens pharmacy to DJ's 6 months ago, and have never been more pleased with the service Alfred & Jin provide. I take many medications, and Jin sat with me one afternoon going over every prescription and telling me about possible side effects and interactions. They are always up-to-date on my meds, and promptly inform me when they are coming due. They are involved with my numerous physician offices when need be, and always get any issues resolved quickly. In short, once you experience the incredible service and comparable prices DJ's has, you'll be sure to switch your medications to them. I had been turned away from all the big pharmacies because I had been in a clinical trial for an unapproved vaccine.
