The calzone was delicious and had a good meat and cheese level. My companions also enjoyed the pizza, one remarking that it reminded him of the pizza he enjoys in Sao Paulo. I don't care for the cream-cheese-in-crust type pizza, but all my Brazilian companions seemed to like it a lot. We followed Google maps to get here and some of the neighborhoods it took us through made my Brazilian companions nervous. The impression I got is that this place is on the edge of a bad area, or it's part of a new gentrification of a once-bad area. I wasn't worried, but my companions looked relieved when we pulled up to it and it was clean and well maintained, as opposed to the place two blocks away on the other side of the street that Google maps led us to at first.

It's casual, but "upscale" at the same time. You feel really relaxed here. They have a very good wine list (at reasonable prices). The service is excellent. Plus, you can see the ocean while having a great meal.

We were in the Manaira Shopping Mall in this city and came across this pizzeria. They sell large pizzas and pizzas by the slice (which is almost impossible to find here). We ordered a margherita slice and a pepperoni slice and I loved it--I almost felt like I was back in NYC! The crust is thin, but not too thin; their pizza ovens are perfect for a New York type of slice because they are hot and narrow, so the crust gets crunchy and just a bit burned, and the toppings are cooked into the slice you order. We had 2 slices, a beer and a water, and the bill came to $8!!! Ya can't beat that! They also offer pies to go, calzones and other really delicious stuff. The servers could be a bit better, but I am sooooo happy that I found a place that serves such good pizza. You'll be happy that you ate here instead of Pizza Hut...

I've eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. All of the pastas here are homemade and they're all great. The sauces are varied and not just typical southern Italian red sauce. The service is also very good & the décor is also very tasteful. They also have a decent wine list with wines at reasonable prices. If you're here for dinner, they make pizzas in a brick oven (unfortunately, you can only get pizzas at dinnertime--not at lunch). At lunch, they also have a buffet and a lunch menu (I prefer to order from the regular menu); they also have valet parking. Oh yeah, the items on the regular menu serve 2, but even with help, two of us have never been able to finish the main course (which is just fine, cuz you get to have the doggy bag later).

I had been working at the Fiat Goiana plant which is an hour out of town, so often we wouldn't get back to Joao Pessoa until 9 or 10pm. Luckily they stay open 'till midnight, and even arriving at 10:00, there were plenty of other patrons.

This pizzeria has a wood-fired oven and the service is great. There's also a difference: while you wait for your pizza to be ready, some toast and breads with spreads of different flavors are served on the house. It also has the advantage of being well located and easy to find. The ambiance is upscale for a pizzeria. They accept all credit cards. It's only disadvantage is the parking: the parking lot only fits 4 cars, as long as no one thinks they bought all the spaces and parks crookedly. But you can park on the streets nearby without any problem. If you have a large party, I highly recommend you make a reservation, especially on the weekend, because this restaurant is very popular.
