You can get a monthly membership or come on demand (gear rental is available) and they also have yoga classes and strength training sessions. It's a bit of a drive but worth it and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Forgot how fun rock climbing is! And how much upper body strength it takes lol…read more Pros: This facility is HUGE. There are multiple climbing walls that are 50 ft high I believe. They also have multiple bouldering walls, which is climbing without harnesses (don't worry, if you fall, they have super padded mats under them). They even have a ping pong table, treadmills, an elliptical, and offer classes! I was also really impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The staff were very friendly and there was a cute little gift shop inside. A day pass is $19, plus the rental cost of shoes and gear. After everything I think it was $27 total per person. Cons: Out of the huge area and many climbing walls, only 7 of them have the automatic pulleys. The others are person harnesses where someone actually had to hold the other person with a rope. So if you are a first timer, you are limited to those 7 automatic walls. Also, Yelp had a coupon for checking in, for free gear rental. They did not honor it because they said yelp automatically created it and they don't give those coupons out. Didn't know Yelp could do that? I think it's a little misleading if people were to choose the gym for the coupon because they thought they were getting a deal, only to be denied. All in all, it was a super fun time and I would go again!!! Definitely recommend!!

I was under the impression that the Skip + Alex Lange Innovation Center was for Boy Scouts and Girl…read moreScouts only, but no, it's open to the public! On Saturdays, day passes are available to the public, which are $20 and allow you in-and-out access all day. This center is located on the grounds of Camp Belzer, tucked near Ft. Harrison State Park in Lawrence. You'll find lots of fun, family-friendly activities for all ages, including a ropes course, rock climbing and bouldering walls, indoor archery, a makerspace, robotics and technology, and lots more. The ropes course (SkyTrail Air Adventure Course) has 10 different obstacles all connected and suspended 9 feet in the air. Kids must be at least 42 inches tall to go on the course with an adult, and 48 inches or taller to go on the course alone. The ropes course is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Lange has two rock climbing walls. The main rock climbing wall features seven lanes for climbing, each lane with four paths to the top that increase in difficulty. The north tower rock wall, with three lanes and three options to get to the top, offers a view out into the camp from the windows. They also have a bouldering wall and bouldering cave. The bouldering cave allows kids to climb around and practice different rock climbing holds freely, but each climber must wear a helmet. Assistants stand by, ready to catch or help each kid. There's also a makerspace room, where kids can learn about and try out different technology, including robots and drones. Here, you can fly drones or make robots move on command using a tablet, make robots move along a path using special markers, and lots more. The room also includes space to try out 3D printing and laser-cutting, tinker with toys, and get hands on while learning about technology and science. Some of the activities change out weekly, and that includes some of the sports. When we visited, they had an indoor badminton court set up, but the week before, that area was designated for indoor archery. There was also a basketball shooting area, cornhole and velcro darts. Drop-ins are welcome at Lange Innovation Center, but the center can also be rented for groups, such as Scouts, clubs and schools. So, calling ahead and reserving a time is highly recommended.

Our favorite Friday adventure = Jumparoo at Urban Air…read more Every Friday from 10-12, they host a special event just for kids 5 & under--and it's seriously perfect for the littles. No big kids Never overly packed Fun "kid nightclub" vibe with lights + music There's so much for them to do: * Jump and play freely * Dodgeball on the trampolines * Ball pit fun * Balance beams in the foam blocks * Adventure center exploring * THREE different slides They even offer crafts, and the concession stand is open if you need a snack break. I love that it's ideal for kids who have just started walking--everything feels manageable and fun without being overwhelming. $10.99 per kid + adults get in FREE Such an easy, fun way to get energy out and make Friday mornings feel special

The party planning wasn't difficult and mostly through email. We paid extra for a room and honestly, I'm glad I did it! When it was getting too chaotic and loud in the play area, it was nice to have a place where it was a little calmer. It's easy to lose track of where the kids can roam and the ongoing colored lights don't help. There are so many things to do at Urban Air and there are also premium activities (which we didn't purchase). It is not cheap to book a party there and everything is an additional price. You get 2 pizzas and there is a capacity limit of 10 before you get charged for additional guests. Water bottles are included, but if you want other drinks, it is also a charge. My daughter enjoyed her party so much, but my wallet took a beating!

Take a wonderful tour of Indianapolis with a learned Indiana native Carrie Zimmerman !!!…read more We were so fortunate to get the information and entertaining facts about the industries, sports and famous people of Indianapolis. We certainly felt grateful to hear of this city's amazing history. We went to the Speedway, heard about the famous authors, Brad Tarkington, Silverstein, Kurt Vonnegut and saw some beautiful architecture which included Monument Circle, museums, the theatres along Mass Ave, and the canal.

Not Ms. Carrie! She is out there hitting the road, enlightening visitors and showing the sights of Indianapolis to a appreciative audience. Circle City Tours is very flexible and will work with your schedule and timeline. I was picked up downtown for the tour but for a slight fee, Carrie dropped me off at an Airport hotel. I was grateful for her immense knowledge of the city, particularly historical facts. LOVED the trek through lovely Crown Hill cemetery, which is not morbid at all. Carrie pointed out the many grave sites of noted politicians, authors, artists, ex-Presidents and the locally prominent who lie in repose there. The Civil War burial section was also very touching. Ms. Carrie pointed out magnificent churches, memorials, art and children's museum, local eateries (Shapiro's Deli=yummy!) and the White River State Park area. We even got to check out all the Christmas decorations up at the Indy Speedway. She packs a lot into the 3-hour tours but when it's over, you feel a sense of accomplishment that you learned so much about Indianapolis-- a city made all the more beautiful than it already is, by the beautiful ministrations of Carrie and Circle City Tours. 5 YELP STARS.
