Trisha, the person who led the class and who is also the owner, was so warm and welcoming. She led a great flow, and it put me in a great mood to start the special day. Pure Soul provides SUP (stand up paddle board) yoga, so you will find them where there is water around central Indiana: the Canal Walk downtown, but also at the Monon Community Center pool in Carmel, Lakefront at Keystone and other places. I didn't do SUP yoga (our yoga class was on dry land), but I will now seek out a SUP yoga class! Other people around me were talking about their experience with SUP yoga, and it sounds like it's a lot of balancing and core work, which I can get down with. The people I interacted with at Pure Soul were literally pure souls -- so kind, so genuine. I'm so glad that I was able to practice yoga with these guys, and I'm looking forward to doing so again soon.

I've paddle boarded before but it's been awhile and never on the canal. The staff were really friendly and helpful getting everyone settled in their boards. The yoga instructor was awesome and took her time with everyone. The headstand on the board is beyond my capabilities but hey maybe next time! Pure Soul also does paddle boarding on the monon and the Lake at Keystone. They also have multiple yoga classes to chose from. Free session are thru the end of the summer and by raffle only. Definitely worth signing up. It was a blast!!

Honestly it didn't seem horrible to me,of course that could be because we were told to arrive once the boat was secured for the day. When my husband and I arrived the computer system was down so the attendant said we were to enter free for the day since he couldn't take payments. The day just got better from here. Our friend, whose birthday it was only had a short wait, but to him it seemed long he said. Once he got to the front he was told we had a wait of approximately twenty minutes. During this time, my husband and I found front parking next to our friend's car, thanks to his wife. When we got in touch with our friends car he had us to bring our coolers and sunblock and we all met up at the restrooms where there were a few picnic tables as well as an awning to block the sun. We took the wait time to play a card game and snack. After a few hands of cards we were called back to check in and we got our life vests and saw a short video as well as signed waivers. Nikko was very helpful in getting us onto our boat and with a 'have a great time!' We were off! Peaceful waters for the day and we even saw friends which was a surprise as they were put with their sailboats. All in all it was a great way to spend the day and we would definitely go again!

We visited Morgan's yesterday for the second time this summer. It's a great meeting spot for friends that live in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Our first visit was on a Thursday and the second was on a Sunday. There was a big difference in the amount of people when going during the week versus the weekend. I would highly suggest a weekday visit if you would prefer less people. After a brief safety talk, you grab a life vest, paddle, and boat and you are off! We did kayaking on both of our visits, but saw a lot of people out on canoes and rafts. It is about a 7 mile trip and both times it took us about 3 hours doing a relaxing trip down the river with minimal paddling and a lot of floating. We packed a picnic lunch and pulled our kayaks out on a shady spot and ate lunch. This is not a technically different kayaking route. There are a few sections that are rocky, have some tiny rapids, or tree roots that you need to navigate, but all in all, it is a beginner level trip perfect for the novice and fun for all. The equipment is good, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The price is also good for a budget activity ~$30 per person! Let's talk about COVID-19 precautions: Morgan's takes this seriously! They are by reservation only and have designated checkin times. For our weekend checkin when it was busy, a man greeted us when walked up and directed us to an empty table to fill out our group's waiver. Once done, we took to a table with one staff member to checkin. All of this was outside. During the week, this was done in the building, but we were the only group. There are social distance markers on the ground, limit to 3 people per the changing room/restroom, social distance on the bus to bring you back, and all staff wore masks. There's a front and back entrance, the back has 1-2 reserved parking spots. It's a fairly small place but packed with stuff: sleeping bags to keep you warm in the mountains, apparel from brands like Patagonia, water bottles, candles that smell amazing, camping chairs, knives, and more! The customer service is out of this world. Multiple folks working, all really friendly. When you ask to see something from the case, they answer questions about the product t but don't try to sell it - thank god, that is annoying and it's nice to not have that pressure. They sell quality items so their sales folk don't really have to hustle like that. Anyways, very pleasant experience!
