There are no shortcuts. The kids really enjoyed having her as their teacher. Since covid we chose to do online classes. And they still do now. I like the option of being able to continue online classes. Understandably this worked for us since the kids have been with her for years. So I like the flexibility. We have 2 recitals per year. And they are always fun to watch how much the kids have grown after 6 months .

More importantly politics are not appropriate when the kids are too young to have strong discernment between what their teachers are telling them to say and what they are seeking to understand and cultivate for themselves. Because they're kids and they're getting a cool opportunity to perform, they might even be too intimidated to refuse to say it ...which is straight up exploitation. School of Rock: please don't manipulate our kids that way, stay in your lane. Parents: be advised that you will not be your child's only moral influence when you send them to this music school. They don't just grow talent. They tell them what to believe and you might not agree.

What we have found with Ms. Rimma has been that and much more. The program, which is her brainchild, is rigorous but not without reason or results. Her music program is layered, structured, and holistic and she is very professional, direct, and skilled. We have 3 children in her program and each of them learn very differently. This is a barbershop not a music academy! Our son was being coached here for 3 months. We were out…read morefor just a week long vacation last week during which our credit card on file was declined so they apparently emailed us daily (we did not have access to email and phone) and then cancelled our registration (unknown to us). When we showed up for our session today (the day after our vacation) we were told rudely that we have been de-registered and we cannot attend the class today. Additionally, they expect us to pay a registration fee again to restart classes and then reschedule for a following week onward. Unbelievably dismal customer service and unfriendly business policies - bottom line - they don't seem to have any trust in their customers. They could have easily given us a chance to fix the credit card issue when we showed up for our class today! The "makeup" sessions (when your child misses a session due to illness or other reason) is a joke - where they have a group lesson with a random lesson plan that has no continuity with the weekly learning. Additionally, twice we were "unenrolled" from a scheduled makeup session without warning or even a courtesy notice only to be informed that rescheduling now will be weeks out. FWIW, our experience with the piano teachers here was average but we expected more engaging teachers given the age group (7-8 year old) of the student. Given poor business etiquette, I would be surprised if the teachers stick around for long! Sadly, we will not be giving them a second chance after our poor experience here.

I am a laid back mom when it comes to music, just want it to be fun so this works perfectly for me. My son has done amazing in my opinion & I attribute it almost entirely to Sean's teaching! My daughter has taken piano lessons with 3 teachers and altho my favorite teacher is no longer working there I have been extremely happy with how much she has learned. The office has treated me very fairly when we need to put lessons on hold over summer & once when my daughter broke her arm. I wanted to review because when I was trying to find a place for lessons there were no reviews here & it was hard to make a decision to try it or not! I am very glad we picked this company for our music lessons...great staff plus the convenience of being able to do my grocery shopping during lessons is a big plus.
