They keep returning her mail to sender, and don't send reminders for renewals. Lady at desk is not helpful. I drove for an hour to be told that her package had been returned to sender!

This library is quiet and does have a few cozy corners and such but it's not very large and sound does carry. Stacks of books, DVDs and other materials. Friendly librarians who seem very willing to help. There is plaque near the front entrance, "The central part of this building was originally the Rosseel Mansion afterward converted into the summer residence of George C. Clark of New York City. In the year 1895 it became the Ogdensburg Public Library through the generosity of Mr. Clark and the contributions of public-spirited citizens." Fabulous to spend the night and then the next day exploring Ogdensburg including the Spirit of…read moreLiberty statue by native Sally J Farnham, the Frederic Remington Art Museum and the rest of this small town that sits where the Oswegatchie River meets the Saint Lawrence River opposite Prescott Ontario. The Seaway Skyway Bridge is not far from downtown and carries road traffic between the two nations (but it's not easily accessible for photographs from the New York side). On the grounds of the Ogdensburg City Hall, this marker is part of the "National Votes for Women…read moreTrail." The marker reads, "Marion S. Frank. Led City of Ogdensburg suffrage fight, 1914-1917. As mayor, husband Julius supported suffrage for New York State women, 1917." Mrs. Frank's efforts were crucial in advocating for women's right to vote in New York State.
