He got all the finance documents ready and got the specific color just as I requested and let me know in advance about any delays that might be involved in getting it. I must say, the entire process of buying the bike from requesting a particular model, arranging finance and collecting the bike, was so smooth, that all I had to do was provide the details necessary for the finance application Ian kept me informed throughout the process. And now I have what I wanted! I'm very pleased with how easy they've made it feel. I totally recommend Metropolis for the sales bit. shocking. Met on Monday went through areas on my recently bought car including shattered bumper…read morepaintwork to be repainted etc; told price, told to bring early on Friday. Cracked light will order too. Arrived Friday at agreed time. Asked to see him. Asked whether a little rust bit could be corrected which I had since noticed - 2mm on edge of boot; told to show his colleague but they need my car keys so leave them. His colleague had a look, said can't do it as they don't have that paint for it ??? (What were they using on the bumper then??). He told me that paint is now soluble and you would need a lacquer on it which they don't have. So he went on to tell me how to correct it by putting rust buster on it for a few hours then wipe off and get a corrective paint stick from the manufacturer. We then looked at the agreed areas. I advised that the interior is cream so would they put something on the seats at all to drive it in and out. He said they didn't have bags to go over the seats but had paper. I said that's fine. I then referred back to the areas agreed and mentioned the replacing of the light. He said he wasn't sure whether it had arrived yet but will check. He then spoke to his boss who started shouting so loudly about the light not having arrived yet, went on to say more but I won't say, then said what was I expecting and "I can swivel or just go do one". Surprised that this was his attitude. What have I done?? The colleague came back to say the light hadn't arrived but once it does I'll have to come back another time. I left the premises feeling upset and unconfident about the whole job with such an attitude he had displayed so decided to return as I was unhappy to be spoken about like that; if that's the attitude to me what's the attitude to the car? I saw the colleague and asked to speak to him again. He had already moved my car. There was a piece of paper on the seat and passenger's. I told him that I heard what his boss had said about me and he was very embarrassed. I asked if his boss was stressed and he said yes very. I said I was reasonable and understood that we all have bad days and stress can come out like that unexpectedly but if his attitude was such that it reflected on the care of the work on my car obviously I wouldn't be too pleased about this. He said he would talk to his boss. He came back and handed me the keys that it's best I go. I was going to to go anyway as this incident really didn't sit well with me; also bearing in mind that it was a lot of money £550 plus, and later have found out that someone else will do it for half the price and the little rust bit included!! A godsend to have walked away.

I had a quotation from Lifestyle Ford's bodyshop for just over £1000 to replace a door, and repair around the rear wheel arch and bumper. Chris at Scuffbusters said they could repair the door rather than replace it and with everything else their quote was for £564 inclusive of VAT. I collected the car yesterday and it is perfect. Scuffbusters really know their stuff and all the time they can save people over 50% and deliver this quality I'm sure they'll do well.

Since this repair to the valves & filters in the fuel pump, we have been getting 10mpg more than before the repair! Last week the rear brakes started to grind, and Russell undercut another repairers estimate by a considerable margin. Again the repair was completed quickly, and the problem solved without hurting the bank balance! We're that pleased with Russell's Toyotec business, that we will be using him again in the future.

Really Poor Customer Service - Tread Carefully! I'm not a…read morewriter of reviews unless really great service or really poor, sadly this is the later. My concern is with the manager / owner, Mr Russell Birch who whilst works hard and built his business, I fear he is at breaking point and now unfortunately customers are suffering. After 4 years of using this garage with the best part of £1000 spent on 3 cars I've seen the service go from great, to what has happened over the last few months. Russell's poor attitude and behaviour I can only describe as defensive, as if he constantly has a chip on his shoulder over the simplest of questions or requests. I asked for my brake pads and tyres to be checked a week or so ago, I'd received a pad wear warning on the car dash, but didn't know which corners were affected, plus asked for my tyre wear to be checked as I wanted to get both done, but would need to order through Blackcircle as usual. After a number of calls related to time on ramp, I arranged matters for the most convenient for him, 08.30am my wife and 3 yr old would attend - 1. Whilst my wife awaited the 'health check' a gentleman waited calmly in line and left before being served, no issue. I'm sure the customer would have called back when he had more time, yet Russell felt it necessary to openly criticise him to his staff - 2. With no previous mention during my many calls he proceeds to charge my wife £45 for checking brake pad wear - 3. The Tyres were not checked - 4. A quote for the works was not provided. Whilst I wasn't contactable during the day I spoke to my wife in the afternoon to learn of the 4 items above - completely unacceptable, plus, to add insult to injury, a credit charge cost on top. Thinking my upset would be easily resolved I visited Toyotech to complain, explained my key concern that no mention of a charge would be made for my brake pads and tyre checks (accepting the tyres weren't checked) to be met with zero customer service. I just received a barrage of comments with attitude about how I needed to understand all the time he's spent on it and how I could have it checked by Toyotech and then go somewhere else,... madness! ''Toyotech is that somewhere else'', I have my Merc serviced at Mercedes, but all other works I have done at Toyotech e.g. tyres, brakes, electronic diagnostics and repair. Seeing what I thought might be an easy remedy I suggested he simply take the £45 bill off the works for the tyres and the brake pads (only fronts need doing), but no, he suggest I take my business elsewhere - appalling service that others need to take care of. Russell, can I offer a little guidance, please take in the spirit to which it's intended, I've worked in customer service for over 38years and I've learnt a lot of lessons in that time, can I suggest that the next complaining customer you get, let them have their say, then apologise that they feel the way they do and that you'll take an easy fix when it's offered to you. Gatwick Tyres a mile down the road from you do free health check (also premier partner on Blackcircle that I checked after visiting you as of course I still need someone to complete the work), so given that you made no mention of cost it was perfectly reasonable for me to expect no charge on the basis any resulting works would come to you, you wonder why car repairers get a bad name, you are that reason. A complaining customer is a perfect opportunity if resolved properly to gain a customer for life, after all we only really know our providers when things go a bit wrong and your 1970's gun-ho approach will never win the day. Please take my advice, you have a strong growing business that won't benefit from a stressed leader with attitude. In the meantime I'll remain a very disappointed, overcharged and confused customer - you'll choose whether you wish to resolve that.
