I never write reviews but this is one that I had to write to make people aware not to use Doc Dean Pools unless you are ok with it never being their problem or fault if there's an issue. We had Doc Dean Pools for years. Issues are never their problem no matter what it is. For weeks we've had a yellowing green pool and was assured that our pool would be looking perfect for our backyard party. This is not safe for anyone to swim in! Again, Not their fault!!! It still was not looking clean at all after two weeks!!! We actually had to move our party to an another venue!!! This was not their problem again, and again. Now 3 weeks with an unsafe green pool Their son said it's not their fault and was rude and condescending. Then It still wasn't their fault! The son James is especially rude and condescending and extremely curt trying hard to argue with me even after I told him 3 times that I do not want to talk to you right now. He actually said to me " NO, This is the perfect time to have this conversation" I said no not right now because I'm upset about how you are talking to me and that my pool is still yellow after 3 weeks. There have been issues over the years where they would never take any responsibility and I just let it go but this time was different because of the way James was in my face. He had his face so close to my sliding doors trying to intimidate me! Snickering at me. I was a customer for roughly a year. all was fine, but when I had an issues with the heater, they told me it was the circuit board, but it was on back order and they would replace it when it came in stock. well, roughly 5 months of them telling me it was back ordered, they just forgot about it altogether. However, I had no problem finding the circuit board online myself. then I was questioning some staining on the pool steps and walls. it took 5 requests to even get an answer or acknowledgement of my request. lastly, my pool heater finally stopped working. it was actually painful to try and obtain a quote and fill out a piece of paper. after numerous requests I finally just decided to go to another company. I informed them their last day servicing my pool would be the end of the month since I prepaid the whole month...they didn't even service my pool the last week. Nice people, but their customer service was just not good. They should focus on their customer just a bit more. read more

Beware of Doc Dean Pools, they say they will show up on a certain day and give you a time window. They don't show up or call and tell you. You have to call them. I schedule an appointment for Friday from 0900-1200. I had to call the company after the time window. I was told, sorry Doc Dean was held up at another job. Fine, ok, I understand that happen. Was told we will try to make it out this afternoon but if we don't show up we will be there the following Monday for the same time window. It's Monday and again a no show during the time widow from 0900-1200. I had to call again at 1500 (3pm), no answer so I left a message. Got a call back about 30 minutes later saying Doc would be over in 30-40 minutes. Sorry folks, if you can't call your appointments and let them know you're going to be 3+ hours late. You don't deserve anyone's business. STEER CLEAR FROM DOC DEANS!!! read more

I would highly recommend Doc Deans Pools, Michael and Amanda are just awesome folks, who are well organized, and work with the pool-owners well. I had a pool heater that was broken, Michael came by and fixed the issue, walked me through the cause and the right approach to fixing it well. He also showed me how to get the heater going manually. It's working now and we have hot water coming into the pool ! Thank you so much for coordinating well and getting us working again. My nephews and I will be able to enjoy the pool this weekend thanks to you both :) read more

I don't recommend them cause when we used them, they never showed up when our pool needed to be serviced and still took our money.

I just want to say that Doc Dean's is the best pool company that we have dealt with in the past 10 years. They are so honest, professional and friendly. He was also very knowledgeable and informative. He fixed issues that another pool service messed up. He gave us information on the things that the warranty's covered to save us money. Reached out to the Ocoee location to get a quote on repair/resurfacing my pool. I was told that they would be out next Tuesday (which was 3 weeks ago) and that I would receive a call 1hr before they arrived. Never received a call. When I called back the next day to find out what was going on the woman who answered the phone said she was driving and had to pull over to get more information. She verified my info and then said they would be out the following Tuesday (which was 2 weeks ago) and again would call before arriving. Same scenario, never received a call. When I called back their phones were off and was sent directly to voice-mail which I left a message with my address and phone number. Still have not heard from them and assume they do not want the business. I would not recommend this company for the simple fact they are not professional, prompt or communicative. read more

I never write reviews, but I feel compelled. I have used this company for 1.5 years. I didn't have any issues until the past few months. Mike insisted that I had a leak. I have not had to add any water to the pool so I had my suspicions. I contacted the recommended leak repair company. They were booked out an entire month. I made the appt. In the meantime, I wanted to see for myself if the pool was leaking. I performed a bucket test twice which confirmed that there was no leak. My pool became green. In 12 years, it has never been green. Instead of considering a different DIAGNOSIS, this DOC would not hear it. He told me I did the test wrong (there are several ways to do this test). I asked him to repeat it his way. He became irate, cut me off when I was speaking, started yelling, turned his back and walked away from me while I was still trying to have an adult conversation. He didn't want to service my pool anymore because I didn't want to spend $400 on a leak detection service that I didn't need. 3 days later, a new company came and confirmed that I do not have a leak. I in fact had absolutely no chemicals in my pool, nothing. He said salt has not been added in months. The pump basket was full of debris and the stabilizer that they had added was not being circulated because the skimmers were closed. Overall, DOC DEAN got lazy and cheap and didn't want to put in the time or money that my salt system needed. I know they will dispute this, but I don't lie. I am an honest person. BEWARE. If things go wrong, it turns into the CUSTOMERS FAULT. read more

We have used Doc Dean's for more than 10 years. They have kept my pool looking good, have informed me when a problem was coming up (for example needing a new filter after probably way too many years before changing) and been receptive when I needed to call them for any reason.
