I saw Dr. Monica Esposito on May 7th and it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience, not just with her but the entire company. This was my first time being a transfer patient after already being approved for medical marijuana for over three years. My previous doctor had me at 4 oz of flower every 35 days due to my tolerance increasing over the years and 2.5 not being enough to manage my symptoms anymore. My previous doctor had amounts that were working perfectly for me. Unfortunately I got tempted to "save money" with Doc MJ's $70 transfer patient promotion on Groupon -which still ended up costing about the same as a renewal at my other doctor ($150)- after they insisted I pay $60 for the Doc MJ mental health evaluation in addition to the $70 appointment fee. I was under the impression that the state has already approved me for 4oz of flower and it shouldn't be a problem keeping the same regimen as I had before and I would be able to purchase flower after my appointment but I was very wrong. I was reset to the same dosages as a brand new patient(2.5 oz of flower with my inhalation/aggregate amount being basically cut in half). She put in a request to increase flower to 3oz (which the state approved right away) but said that she won't increase it until 7 months out at my next appointment. During my appointment I stressed to the doctor that I mainly use flower, cartridges (inhalation), and sometimes edibles but I don't use the other routes. The inhalation amount was decreased from 400mg per day to 200mg and other routes were increased on my prescription such as oral, topical, sublingual, and suppository. Due to my amounts being changed I have not been able to purchase flower which is the easiest route for me to afford. I'm getting very stressed out because I'm about to run out of flower because my flower amount has stayed at 0 oz available to be dispensed since my appointment. Even though I was approved, I'm still not able to access my medicine and now I have to worry about running out with my inhalation amount since it was SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. None of the representatives I talked to when scheduling gave any warning of how my amounts would be affected during this process as a transfer patient (which they should disclose when they're encouraging people to transfer doctors).very disappointed that it is impossible to get ahold of the doctor, there's no options to leave messages about your concerns and no way to contact them to ask them to help you. They have no care for their patients. Before my appointment I had about 7gs of flower left available to be dispensed but after the appointment that completely disappeared. I saw Dr. Esposito on May 7th and even though I was approved, I will not be able to access my medicine until May 13th and there's no way to call her or leave a message, it all goes to a call center. They made me fill out a request form which takes 12-14 business days to be processed, and I don't even know if it will be approved, but if it is, I'll still have to wait for approval from the state after that. I just know that I paid for a medical card and drs appointment for medical marijuana but now I'm not going to be able to access it the way that a PATIENT should. I'm going to keep running out of medicine for my PTSD, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION. Extremely disappointed with the DOC MJ experience and I've been crying everyday since my appointment due to the stress of it. read more
