OK, I could write for hours on how great the trip was, how on top of things Scott was and how many big fish we caught but I think you get the idea - it was a great day! We reserved Captain Scott's services for an outing over Father's Day weekend. He dropped his nets and hat us bait fish in no time flat and then we were off. No sooner than he dropped a line in the water for us, we were pulling up a nice big Rainbow Runner. Over the day we caught our fair share of fish and I was eating Cobia out of my freezer for weeks. If you're wondering how much different a charter boat is from a "party boat" like the Miss Cape Canaveral and Orlando Princess, I'll put it like this. One of my catches on the Charter boat had more meat than ALL of the fishes I've caught on over 10 outings on those party boats...combined! I'm spoiled now and I'll most likely never step foot on anything but Scott's boat for charter fishing now. When we mentioned who we went with around other fishermen, they all knew Scott and told us we picked right. Everyone Knows Scott, it seems. Tips: Bring your own cooler, drinks and food. Bring some sunscreen and a hat Captain Scott's got the rest I truly have nothing bad to say about the outing and I have already booked him for the Saturday before Father's Day 2015 so back off, it's mine!

The piers also tend to attract a lot of birds looking for the fishermen's leftovers. The Eau Gallie Pier is just behind the library and north of the Eau Gallie Causeway in Melbourne. It stretches out over the picturesque Indian River. You can see the bridge to your right. Besides the pier there are docks, 2 boat ramps, and couple of picnic tables at opposite ends of parking lot. The pier is perfect for wildlife watching, photography, fishing, and catching the sunset. Eau Gallie has a long history of fishing beginning with the Native Americans and continuing into the turn of the century when James Wadsworth Rossetter arrived in Eau Gallie in 1902 and became a leader in the local fishing industry. Todays sportsman continue to enjoy fishing for snapper, grouper and tarpon in the river. Best of all the parking and pier are both free. The Eau Gallie Historic Distric is steps away with restaurants, art, and shopping. Discoveries like this pier are just another reason to love Old Florida towns.

During my interview, I was shocked when she told me I would be constantly approached by the clients to come aboard the boats to take shots and have sex with them. The entire interview was putting down the clients of the yacht club. I did not get the job and maybe it was a blessing in disguise. That was the most unprofessional interview ever.

Great kayak adventure by the rhinos and giraffes. This is…read morelocated in the Africa part of the Brevard Zoo which is the first section to the left as you enter the zoo. I have done the Nyami-Nyami kayak tour several times. It is an excellent guided tour and costs about $10/person. You sign up for a time (tours seem to go about every half hour), fill out a waiver electronically and come back at your appointed time. At that time you and your party are taken down to the beach, given life vests, a safety brief, situated in the 2-person kayak, and pushed out onto the river. They take about 6 kayaks at a time. The guide paddles backward and provides a running dialogue about the Nyami Nyami River, the animals, and the sights as you follow them around the circular path. I saw water buffaloes, camels, zebras, ring-tailed lemurs, rhinos, and giraffes. They are building the lion enclosure so in the future you should be able to see those too. This was an excellent adventure. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting the zoo that would like a unique experience and a guided kayak tour through the African environment. Enjoy!
