If I could leave 0 stars I would. My son who is two years old was running a high fever and symptoms of RSV. I scheduled an online appointment that was confirmed through my email. Upon arriving the woman at the front desk rudely informed me that they don't see 2 year olds. Something that I should have been made aware of when scheduling my appointment. After telling her that we have brought him to docs urgent care before she RUDLEY told me that she just works for the company. I understand that policy's change but for starters I should have never been able to book an appointment given that they don't see children under 5. I also would have appreciated the woman not being extremely rude and at the very least showing some empathy that my very sick son couldn't be seen and AT LEAST try to suggest another place. I set an appointment for a regular issue. I walked in and was told that though I set an appointment, there were too many walk ins, and I couldn't be seen unless I came back in 3.5 hours. I called four times before hand trying to confirm my appointment, and no one ever answered the phone. I set an appointment because I needed to leave work and return in a reasonable amount of time. The only thing worse than covid19 is the staff and management that works here. Do not get your test here. I come here at 12 for a covid test. They say realistically 2 hours but feel free to leave and come back. So I do that. 2pm comes and no response. 3pm nothing. 4pm nothing. 430 I get a text. I arrive and there's a huge line outside of people saying they all just got texts too. I have the only car of my family and my phone is about to die. I open the door to ask how much longer and she literally said "we have people in front of you don't you see them" I nicely said "I get that I just want to have an idea since I've been trying to get in fo four hours now." That's when I was told "don't talk back to me your not better than these people" I've had such a bad day and was in such a bad mood after that I just left. All in all. They wasted my time. Day. This place is garbage. Yesterday I made an appt at 5:06. Went to the office and it was closed (three others came t the same time, girl for 5:15 burst into tears.) Called the line to find out what was going on and they were incredibly rude ("that branch closes at 5" "oh, but I had an appt at 5:06? I don't understand." "It closes at 5. It's not our system. We don't know anything" Ok, husband makes a second appointment the next day for 11:00. I show up- turns out the appointments are completely and totally meaningless. They are not taking anyone. Ok. No information on the site, no information on Facebook. I get yelled at and treated very rudely just for daring to ask (politely) how I might be seen. ("Yeah. I know. Buh bye.") Of course I understand if they're strapped. It's crazy that rapid testing sites are an endangered beast here. But why would you treat people so poorly? Why wouldn't you communicate appropriately? I returned from visiting family out of state and needed an asymptomatic covid for work. I couldn't make an appointment online but i was texted while on the site that i could come as a walkin. I realized that they closed in 2 hours. As soon as I walked in to a waiting room with 5 people in it they told me they were not accepting walkins after showing the text they said it was some other number and the staff there would make those decisions. The staff was rude. I am a healthcare provider and would have at least apologized. I didn't even have an opportunity to say anything. My husband is a firefighter and needed an asymptomatic test about a month ago. The results were negative but he realized after he left that they gave him someone else's paperwork. Come on! Would give zero stars if I could. Came in as child was sick. Said he had sore throat immediately demanded I pay 50$ because they don't "run this through insurance". And then charged or my copay of 50$. Brutal place RUN. Rather wait to see another urgent care this place has the most rude and ignorant front staff to top it all off. Horrible service total money grab. Will NEVER return and will never recommend. Doctor did not do strep test because it was unnecessary and when I asked for my refund of the 50$ they told me their "billing" department would handle that but could not offer a confirmation or anything. I will be writing to the BBB to complain about this chain of urgent cares. I will also be reaching out to the DPH to advise them of their practices and their refusal to run items through insurance. This is by far the worst covid testing experience I have ever had in my 2 years of dealing with the pandemic. Other Docs locations are great. But this one just does not get it. I get there at 2 pm for a 2:15 appointment and immediately start waiting in line. As I'm waiting 10 or so more people show up with "appointments" ranging from 1:50 to 2:45. They put all of us into a small hallway because the doctor is "on the phone". The nurses and PAs are waiting in another separate room and whispering to us "this is bullsh*t" "this doctor loves to take her time" I come to find out they were the ones swabbing us anyway! So why we were waiting for the doctor makes no sense. After an hour I see the doctor and she just asks what my symptoms are before I go to get swabbed from a nurse?!!! During a pandemic they literally put 10-20 symptomatic individuals in a waiting room like a foot apart from each other. To make matters worse the individual next to me said he was bed ridden for days and extremely sick. Awesome. Glad we were all side by side. Oh and results still aren't posted even though every other location has them by the end of the day. Oh, and I wasn't told what test I was getting and wasn't given an option. Have no idea if they gave me PCR or rapid. And the entire staff was rude. Understand this is a pandemic...but come on...? Even the other locations of the same entity are doing this so much better. If I didn't already have Covid I absolutely got It today from being side by side with people coughing. WTF unbelievable that my insurance would even be charged. I should be paid for this BS. BY THE WAY. I had to make a Yelp account just to post this. That's how atrocious this experience was. UPDATE: I tested negative at this location and positive 3 days after this appointment...haven't been anywhere else since I work from home. Disappointed that I haven't received lab results - went for a Covid-19 test, was symptomatic and headed to funeral in another state the next day. I was told that someone would call with results by business day end, no one did. No results in personal portal, no answer to texts or via website interface and busy signals with phone calls. Woke up on a Sunday with a metal sliver in my finger that was getting infected-the perfect situation for one of these places. Went there at 12:40. Was told everyone was out to lunch and come back at 1pm. Came back. Spent 10 minutes with forms and another 20 waiting. Finally the nurse on call came in. Looked at my finger and confirmed my self-diagnosis...and told me she couldn't do anything because she wasn't a PA or an MD. Not even hand me tweezers so I could do it myself. Left. Untreated. They only care about testing you for covid and getting you in and out. I literally booked an appointment and wrote in the notes what I was in for (both my kids have pink eye / RSV and I woke up with bloodshot eyes). Instead I was made to go through a process where I was presumed covid and just basically given a test. When I asked for an exam they acted like it was an inconvenience and looked in my eyes, throat, and nose only to proclaim I should "maybe stay home and rest with a cold compress" lol things I could've said to myself and now I'll probably get charged hundreds of bucks for this "diagnosis" and possibly get covid from all the exposure. Fun times! Edited to add: you get told your results are "online" okay, fine. I go online and I'm logged on to multiple apps, websites, etc. I have my whole health report ... and my "rapid" results still aren't showing 4 hours later. Every time I come here I always ask myself why. The reception staff are extremely rude and I had an appt that I made for 1:30. Checked in via App as it says to do. Waited in my car for 5 min. Walked in to check in. Told the lady at the counter I was her for an appt. She said she will be right with me. She then got on her cell phone and left to get something to eat. So I waited 10-15 more minutes, went to the counter to tell the other two ladies. They asked what I was here for, I said a COVID test. She said which one... I said Rapid. She then named off 2 Rapid tests which I then said whichever one is the Rapid. She threw her pen down and didn't answer, then I said which one is Rapid? The other lady jumped in and said they are both Rapid. I said oh, well I didn't know. Working at a health care facility myself, and knowing that I am very polite to our clients makes it very upsetting that people can be so rude! read more

Had a COVID vaccination appointment set for 2:51pm. Arrived at 2:30pm. Was told, after waiting 10 minutes to be checked in, that "the doctor is busy with walk-ins - can you come back after 6:00pm"? ANY entity in ANY line of customer service that has an appointment and walk-in system AND DOES NOT PRIORITIZE APPOINTMENTS is not a place that should be in business until that entity gets it's priorities in order. This is absolutely despicable. At least have a scheduling system that is designed to alert persons when their scheduled appointment absolutely had to have been modified (time changed, cancelled, etc). Don't permit the ability to schedule an appointment online and then fail to honor it at the time-of. That's not a good look and is extremely unprofessional. We're living in a time where people were blessed and lucky enough to make it this far and NEED these vaccines. I, personally, am not in a state of physical health where the virus is crucial to my survival, but I know several others that are, as well as others in lines of work where it is mandated that they be vaccinated or else they lose their job. It'd be common courtesy for establishments like Docs Urgent Care to take ownership of the services they provide - and that includes appointment scheduling. Walk-ins should always be secondary to appointments (the latter implicative of "having been done in advance"). I definitely don't recommend that anyone ever does business with this establishment, probably unless you're affluent and white. Yeah. I said it. Like... the fuck? I made an appointment at DOCS, Tunxis Hill Rd, Fairfield for today. I had the option of virtual or in person & chose the latter. I arrived 30 minutes before my appt & was told, there is no provider on duty today & it would have to be virtual. I said so can't have my infected foot looked at & get a med. Answer -yes we can help. So after waiting almost 30 minutes past my appt (one other person there before me), I was taken into the office. A nice young lady began to explain, she would take my vitals & then I would sit & wait for some doctor someplace other than there to do appt. I asked how long - answer- well, it depends. Doc on call today is usually quick, but who knows. She added there are 6 people in front of you. I said "not interested." Showed her my confirmed appt at that location for 10 AM & then show it to woman at desk. I stated your website should be updated. Answer - well we have 19 locations & it would be impossible to update information continuously. Ah - I see. From what I gather, this company is interested in taking in the dollars while affording little customer service. So I drove 26 miles with a confirmed appt & left after 1 hour or so with no service. Further, note that their website had appts available for 8 AM & stated hours of operation for today, Saturday, were 8 AM to 3 PM. The sign on the door lists Sat hours beginning at 9 AM. Called another walk in. Woman who answered said "don't come here unless you're really sick." This new kind of medicine in this New World is pretty frustrating. Guess the providers work from home too? Tried to upload my appt confirmation, but it wouldn't upload. Do they have an IT Department? STAY AWAY from this place! And DON'T get SICK!! read more

Very disappointed. My husband and I needed covid pcr testing prior to travel. They said results would come back 5-8 days. I tried calling at day 5, could not even get a person on the phone. Luckily we had a backup plan and got tested elsewhere and had results within 3 days. And they called with our results. I have been calling DOCS and continue to not be able to speak with someone. Either the line is busy or you get transferred to an operator who then tries to connect but again, not able to get through, it should not be this difficult to speak to someone. It is now 10 days since our test and we STILL don't have the results. Nothing is posted on the online portal. We even told them we needed for traveling. Again truly disappointing. I understand they are very busy right now but they need a better system and better way to communicate. I asked the operator if I can write them a email or note to request a callback but they said that was not an option and to keep trying by calling. Will say that the doctor was wonderful. *** also very disturbed to witness the medical assistant going room to room doing nasal swabs on multiple people without changing her gloves in between. That's unacceptable and unsanitary, especially in the midst of a pandemic. read more

1 star is being overly generous...the main doctor, Robin Brammer, was extremely rude and snippy. I waited three hours for a COVID test and when I stepped foot inside she started questioning why I even came after telling her I didn't feel good. She yelled at me questioning why I didn't go to the doctor even though I wanted to be cautious and take a test. She was extremely impatient, basically throwing me out after I simply asked when I would receive the results. She is the nastiest and most unpleasant woman I have ever met. Medical professionals should be patient, welcoming, and understanding - every one of which Robin Brammer was not. While I was in the waiting room I saw her yelling at a father and his young son as well, so I know she is just as rude to every other patient as she was with me. read more

Nothing posted and noone answered a phone. I was waiting at the wedding parking lot *( out of town wedding) and started calling but noone answered. I eventually called another office and asked if they can pull up the results. She said the results were in but never uploaded. She finally helped but with all the stress it was terrible. Went to their website and made an appointment online for COVID test for 9 am Sunday. Arrive at my appointment time to find that they are closed on Sunday's. The signage on the door to the facility had conflicting hours-- one sign said closed on Sundays and the other said 9-1 on Sundays. I was one of about a dozen people who shared in my frustration at 9 am. I can only imagine across the day how many people showed up only to find out they weren't open. My turn I'm told that they are only doing Covid testing and turned me away bleeding. Didn't ask if I was ok to drive somewhere else, didn't help me find another place to go, etc. Next day tried calling no less than 10 numbers at various locations and can't get a human speak with, no way to leave message, didn't respond to email .Finally got someone promised I would hear back, nothing! I needed a rapid test yesterday because the other testing center I had been too several days earlier told me my test results were going to take 7-10 days! I had been exposed to someone who tested positive and had already quarantined 8 days -- I wanted to resume my life if it was safe for me to do so. I have no Covid symptoms. The staff at docs were really wonderful and the whole experience felt safe, organized, and very easy. I would go there again in a heartbeat! read more

Do not use for COVID testing. After waiting three days for a rapid test, I was never given the results. I need the results to get back to work...I have repeatedly reached out to get the results and have gotten no where. After providing them with my information, they refused to respond to my request for results. I am a teacher and had to be tested once prior to this and had no problems. CVS is a better bet even if you wait longer for the appointment they are reliable and believe in customer service and care. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE I went to DOCS Urgent Care of Fairfield because I had called around to other urgent care places for pricing, and I was told by the woman at the front desk that there would be a $50 charge and a $20 billing charge because I was not going to be paying at the time. Fine, $70, very reasonable. I got seen, scheduled a follow-up in a week, went back, expected $140 in bills. I found out afterwards that I was being billed $280, and that was after insurance contributed their share! Why on earth had this woman said I would be charged $70?! I immediately called the billing department and spoke to a woman there who was no help, deferred to "the rules" rather than a supervisor, and still did nothing for me despite my mentioning that I would be leaving this review here and elsewhere online as well. I told her that if her staff could not quote prices properly that they should not be quoting them at all, and she said she would be calling there immediately to address it, STILL leaving me with no relief from THEIR mistake.
