I book appointments specifically to avoid long waits, yet they clearly have no respect for patients' time. At my last visit, I was told I was "next," then sat for over an hour while other people went in ahead of me. This isn't an isolated incident, almost every visit is the same, and I hear plenty of other patients complaining too. They continuously use the excuse that they are behind due to business but I believe they are severally understaffed. The issue is that they are not busy, they relatively only have 5 people waiting at a time every time I'm there. If you value your time and expect basic respect, go somewhere else. The doctor was apathetic, listless and barely spoke to me, paying more attention to the computer. Their manners felt forced and routine, barely taking a medical history, and performing a half-hearted physical exam (the only effort they showed in the five-minute exchange was when they pushed hard on my face to check my sinuses - both unpleasant and in general they felt out-of-touch with their and my humanity). THIS IS ACCESS REGENT IN WINNIPEG, MB, but the system is mislabeling it. I booked a full physical,…read moreand perhaps I expected too much, but i did not expect that a full physical would be weight and height (by the assistant) and blood pressure, that's it ... end of physical!! I assumed a clinic this size would have a simple blood lab and fasted in preparation. I arrived for my 9am app, and waited 35 minutes (if I have an afternoon app, I expect to wait 30 to 40 min as many app's will go over by 5 min during the day, and they add up). Finally I went outside and waited out there another 5 min before they called me in (the waiting room was EMPTY). It's my understanding that MB health is all digitized now, but the info that i had a heart attack in mid 2019 (St B) and then was misdiagnosed as having gall stones in 2020 (Concordia) was not in my chart at all. When she found out what type of heart attack I had, OUT OF THE BLUE she started asking if the heart specialist had talked to me yet about a BYPASS. I said no and looked alarmed so she tried to back away from the convo and wasn't happy when i pressed it. So now I'm impatient with the 40min wait at 9am and incomplete records, and I'm little freaked out about the whole bypass thing, but I let it go and talk about the minor issues I have. 1) hips and walking, i thought glucosamine and she said - TALK TO YOUR PHARMACIST ABOUT IT INTERFERING WITH MEDS - i said you tell me Dr. - no answer. Issue one - shrugged off. 2) Twisties in my ... diaphragm area that temporarily stop me in my tracks and are painful- she said sounds like gall bladder, no poking, no prodding, no questions. I will admit that by this time i had a slow burn going on, and I don't remember what else she said. 3) triglycerides - this is case of one Dr pushing what needs to be done onto another Dr or nurse practitioner. It's my heart Dr that wanted this info, and there's a blood lab in his building, but he knew i had a physical coming up, so he shrugged it off onto her (also a reason why I believed that Access Regent has a blood lab). At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I had another question about a supplement i take but felt there was no point in asking. Next time i need a physical, I'll measure my height, step on a scale and use the blood pressure cuff at the local drugstore. This is what the conservative gov has done to healthcare in MB.

Physician said "I don't know...you will have to take him to his GP". She did not check his temperature or ask any questions. Just looked in the ear, said no infection and dismissed us. The very next day I had a Nurse Practitioner check the ear. It is infected and he has a punctured ear drum. He is now on antibiotics. DO NOT TRUST this clinic.

The staff and the amount of patients booked for each time is deplorable. Chatting with other people waiting I realized there were several people booked for the same appointment as myself. When I asked the staff how much long I had to wait I was informed there were still several people ahead of me, I was already nearly an hour past my appointment time. I left without seeing Dr. Madi. I had previously phoned her staff on 3 occasions to have a prescription faxed to my pharmacy. I never heard back from anyone and my pharmacy never received a fax or call.
