Those gals who answer the phones and schedule are Saints. Dr. Jeff is a rockstar! He is one of those few doctors you come across that has by far the best bedside manner. He really takes the time to explain what's going on with your ear. He doesn't use big words or medical language you can't understand. Dr. Jeff doesn't "dumb it down" for you. Instead, he explains what is going on with your ear in a way that YOU the patient, understand. Which, as someone living with a disability who is constantly in and out of doctor's offices, meant so much to me. Sometimes when doctors speak to patients, they don't take the time to really talk one on one with their patients about what's going on. Dr. Jeff... He is on a whole different level when it comes to his kindness & patience. If you need to get your ears looked at and thinking about going to Costco- DO IT! I must say I started out sceptically because of difficulties with other providers. This is my fourth set in over twenty years. Insurance has begun to cover hearing aids like never before. It creates possibilities for more functional feature rich hearing aids at little or no expense. Michele the owner had great patience and understanding. She also had excellent knowledge about technical aspects and fine tuning these incredible instruments to meet you hearing loss. The quality of her lines and her prices are the most competitive. She and her staff are absolute professionals. They listen closely to your needs, and then resolve your hearing problems quickly, accurately and fit it into your budget. I urge you not to walk around saying "what" or turning up your TV to maximum volume. If you're a senior with one of these new supplements to Medicare you must stop in. I'm talking about getting state of the art hearing aids, and a most capable audiologist to make certain they work probably at no charge at all....that's right for free. I can talk on the phone, hear the TV, participate in conversations and even stream my music directly ...and it's all controlled right from my phone. None of my other hearing aids worked this well. I know the people that call your name don't care what your name is, but I guess I just think they should fake it a little better. I blame Ochsner itself, because the people who work there apparently don't consider it part of their job to call people the right names. It makes it clear that you're not trustworthy when you start out our interaction by calling me the wrong name when my preferred name is right there on the form. And, so, maybe that's good, knowing right off the bat that you aren't to be trusted or believed. If that was your goal, mission accomplished. Ochsner, please train your employees properly.

I can't wait to get home to take a shower. I used several alcohol wipes to clean the chair I was sitting in and the table with wheels, which also had dirt and dust all over it. I am sure there were tons of germs in the room. I can't be the only one that noticed these things. People come to the emergency with all kinds of illnesses and diseases. I saw a woman with 3 kids in the waiting room with some kind of respiratory illness that seemed to be contagious as all of them were sick, I am glad we got a room before that family came in, otherwise my husband and myself might have caught what they have. they should have been taken to a room when they arrived so they could not spread what they had. This is the closest ER to our house. If there is a next time we will go the Ochsner.

Born here, had most of my medical care here, will never step foot in an LCMC establishment again…read more Dr. Isaac Crawford (3434 Prytania, Ste 460) referred me to a specialist at East Jeff who was not taking referrals. He never addressed this with me again, nor the issues I complained about. Instead of helping me find a new GP when Dr Crawford unceremoniously left his position without offering me refills of my life-saving medicine, the secretary Desma said "Well, you missed an appointment, that's why he left, you gonna have to wait till August". I promptly called someone else not named Desma & they got me an appointment the very next day with a NP. Not that this helped-- The LCMC affiliated clinic REFUSED to see my supplemental insurance while demanding a copay to be seen. Found 2 doctors- WHO SPECIALIZE IN MY ISSUE- in Ochsner's network with availability this month. LCMC is a farce and you evidently need only have a room temp IQ to work here.

My doc was friendly, informative, and attentive. He also asked questions and gave feedback on my questions. He gave me info on prescription pros and cons. They have a blood draw lab in the office, and my intake nurse took some blood. Talked to the billing person and he showed me exactly what I was being billed for, and printed copies for me.
