He treated me five days a week for a while and had me drink lots of tea and take herbal supplements. The pain came down quickly and I no longer needed crutches and could live pretty normally. We went to 3 days a week, then one day. Sometimes pain relief is immediate, but sometimes it takes time. It took five years to get close to normal health despite continual improvement. For fifteen years, I have only gone once a month or every few months. I have stopped altogether for a few years at times, but my problems start to return. I am fairly sure my underlying condition is incurable, but acupuncture, herbs, and cupping help my body stay balanced despite that. I can even exercise now like a normal person without worrying about injury.
