These things hit the plate like they were built by professionals. Thick, perfect, and buried under enough peaches and whipped cream to shut up my inner cardiologist. Look at that thing it's like dessert and a peace offering had a baby. The eggs? Sunny-side-up like they were drawn by a cartoonist who actually cares. The sausages? Glossy little grease torpedoes that made me feel emotions I haven't felt since Sabrina told me I "focus too much on work" and refused to come on this trip. Yeah, babe maybe I DO focus too much on work. Because WORK paid for these pancakes!!! Some restaurants give you food. This place gives you forgiveness. The second I put on my suit this morning, I felt the evil rising in me like a lex Luther but Dog 'n' Suds hit me with a plate so good it almost made me a better person. Almost.. If you're passing through Bills pond eat here Maybe you're a good person doing something wholesome ,hiking, visiting family, saving the world one gluten-free muffin at a time. Driving through Williams Lake, a veritable institution to the town caught my eye. It's probably been easily 20 years since I first stopped here and learned, if you order "tea," without clarifying ICED tea, you're going to get HOT tea. Being from S Texas, how would I have known?? BUT, that first taste of a classic Dog & Suds hot dog with "chips & gravy" made me stop, craving it again. I saw where they serve that iconic sauce on a "spicy" (not really) bratwurst with sauerkraut! I'm in! I ordered it with some onion rings and it all came fairly quickly and was every bit as good as that memory. No, the spicy bratwurst was not spicy, but very flavorful and plentiful. The onion rings were hot and crispy. Well done! Prices are not bad, considering the economy. Service is super friendly and efficient. I didn't get a refill on my (iced) tea glass, but I was pretty much done anyway. The interior is an undeniable diner, complete with the oldies music piped in on the speakers. Most definitely a great stop - I won't wait so long until the next time. read more

Our food is always hot and fresh. You can see the kitchen when sitting inside, and it's always clean and food Is prepped properly. Tables and floor are tidy and mess free, the servers are always friendly and courteous, and the decor inside is unlike anything else you'll find in Williams Lake! They also have a new, secondary location that's situated at the recreation complex which also has great service and food variety! We will be continuing to eat here for the foreseeable future! read more

Went for breakfast. I ordered the usual bacon and eggs. Eggs over easy were ok. Bacon ordered crisp was floppy and not drained of grease. sourdough toast was good but served with off brand jam substance. Ordered deep fried hash browns got pan fried and cold potato cubes. other diner ordered a blt and it had egg on it and they despise egg. same cold pan potatoes. will not go again. We decided to try something new in town after a long drive. It was either Denny's or this. We decided this because our home does not have this kind of place in town. We show up and first impression was the 50's vibe was kinda cool but almost a red flag at the same time. However the floor was very sticky. Every step was like walking on a adhesive tape or something. I've should've listened to my red flags. As I walked by the kitchen to the washroom to change my two year old son, there was only one person working in the kitchen. A young high schooler cooking our food while the lone waitress fiddle with her phone. That high schooler was cooking stuff in a microwave. Red flag. When I left the bathroom, another customer that we saw came back with take out and got a refund completely unsatisfied. Another red flag. Our food came out. My partner ordered The Hash and specifically ordered no cheese on it. And out came the plate over loaded with greasiest cheese ever. Her side of sausages looked like half was dried out & burned looked like it was recooked a few times. Her sister ordered chicken club but only one half of the sandwich was toasted and the other wasn't toasted at all. The most important person in my group was our 2 year old son who wanted a griddle cake. His came out with the middle being soppy and uncooked. Overall, bad experience for my family. My mother in law gravy didn't come & fries were undercooked. My bacon looked like it was cooked in the microwave & my egg was hard when I asked for over easy & my French toast was soggy & gross. When we brought our food to the attention of the waitress, she didn't own up to the situation. "Apparently she didn't order cheese on hash" we overheard her say. My wife was very clear to her, when she ordered. I had to cheer my son as it was late and they were closing and he didn't eat. Probably why they had Mater in the parking lot, to cheer up disappointed children's before they leave. I do not recommend this to anyone, even my worst enemy! read more

I wanted to like this place. I really, really wanted to like it. It's all 50s diner style inside, which I thought boded well... not so much. The burger was pretty flat and hard (definitely frozen from a package), the bun was huge and not delicious. I had the plain burger, which meant just that... nothing but a burger and a bun. The menu had ALL the options... I got a bit confused. Anyhow, they put lettuce and tomato on it once I asked for it. Maybe it would be tastier with condiments? Burgers come with coleslaw, which is very mayo-y. I had the onion rings, which were the batter kind. No soda water, and the root beer was a bit flat and not cold enough for my liking. All in all, I think I would have enjoyed going to A&W down the street a bit more than this meal. Wasn't super impressed with the waitresses either, since they plonked down my bill when they brought my meal... maybe they wanted to go home? it WAS pretty empty in there. I might go back for the breakfast though. Looks like there's lots of different options... who doesn't like all-day breakfast?! read more

Cool place, great service and awesome prices. Went for a late breakfast and sat outside my brother ordered bacon and eggs he got 5 pieces of good bacon hash browns eggs and toast for 10 bucks! He ordered the deep fried hash browns which were great. I had the pan fried ones which weren't to my liking as they weren't crispy and brown however that's just my preference so I won't fault them for that if that's what they serve. Cool place and would reccomend it for breakfast as it's a bit cheaper than most other places. read more

Yuck Yuck Yuck! Not worth the prices! The wraps are gross and very highly priced! The fries were gross and you get maybe 10 measly onion rings for $5! The potato salad had no flavour. The hotdog was the better of all of our food, but $12 for a hot dog, really? All 5 of us were seriuosly disappointed! And $9.50 for a kids grill cheese. Are you kidding! Maybe breakfast is better. Food came quickly only plus, the Eggs Benni were some the worst I've ever had. When the waitress asked how our meal was I said the sauce was horrible she said that's how hollandaise sauce is made. I said no, I make my own and that's not hollandaise made, the waitress claimed that was even though it was clumpy. Our water cups were also dirty and no soap in the bathroom. The interior looks like it might belong to one of Guy Fierri's restaurants. The texture on the "home style" hamburger patties is unusual and somewhat rubbery feeling, but tender. Like it was made up of many small bits of rubber that falls apart in your mouth! Maybe try the buffalo option? They have wifi and the fries aren't bad, so there's that! You really want to like this 50's diner but the food lacks the quality of a diner from the 50's era. I ordered burgers and fries and it was not to my liking! I expect a homemade burger when I go eat at a diner not frozen food. This place can be a gem if the owner switches out the frozen food for fresh homemade comfort food. read more

In the 80's and 90's this was a hopping joint. It was basic diner food but it was good food. Then it went down hill about 10 years ago and never recovered. The quality of the food is terrible. When you can see the microwaves from your seat you know it cant be good food. I don't even cook with a microwave at home, let alone pay someone to do it. Almost 2 years ago they remodeled to the cool looking place you see today, but the food remained lousy. The décor wasn't what needed overhauling, it was the menu, and the waitress/owner. I get the feeling that management feels they are doing everything right, and the problem lies with the customers...that's just the vibe I get. If they can learn how to cook with quality ingredients this place would be a very sweet place. read more

Location was just off the highway so very convenient. We were welcomed and provided menus pretty quickly considering it was lunchtime.
