He always looks fabulously handsome (my bias) when done. Regarding the 7 hours mentioned in a previous review: this is a one woman shop. I can imagine the day getting long if there was another dog (mine?) on the day's schedule needing more time and attention to detail. Maureen does excellent work; perhaps she values that over timing. In any case, she's a careful, knowledgeable, hard working groomer. I hate to see her disparaged as "crazy", though that sort of insult is really only a statement about the person leaving the review. Chelsea (owner/groomer) and I spoke on the phone for about 30 mins, talking about my dogs and their needs. She is a dog lover like myself and explained everything about herself, the shop and how my babies would be treated. The place is quaint and cozy... and clean! I feel like my dogs will get full attention and cared for very well there.... much more attention than a larger groomer would be able to. I dropped my two babies off.. she called me about 2.5 hours later and I was able to pick them up. My babies were happy, clean and smelled soooo good! I couldn't stop smelling them when we drove home... This is now my forever grooming place! I love Chelsea! Our family and dog are very traumatized by our dog's shaved grooming. I only want to let you know…read moreso they don't do this again to another client's dog. This is a Coton de Tulear, not a dog that is shaved.  This is a long hair dog, She is now not protected by her coat for sun etc.  This was her first grooming as she is still a puppy of 8 months old. I have brushed her daily and she only had a few areas under her paws that had problems  with matts.  Which they asked if it was OK to cut those out and I said yes, but not to shaving her WHOLE body. When i gave Riley to the groomer , I said this was her first grooming and I just wanted a trim for a Coton! if they had researched my dog, no Coton I have ever seen has been shaved. They should of called me and asked if it was OK to shave her. I feel they took the easy and fast way out to just shave her instead of bathing her, and brushing her and doing a cut.  I have been taking really good care of her and her coat. This was a really big mistake that we have to live with for a very long time. I hope it doesn't happen to your DOG!!!
