This place is wonderful! The dog runs are a good size, drop off and pick up is easy and it's priced very well!

The owner and staff are friendly and truly care about the animals. The enclosures where the dogs stay are clean and really nice. They have a large area where the dogs can run and play. We have a pitbull and he stayed with them for the first time over the weekend and was very happy when we returned. We've boarded our two dogs with Mr. Jim multiple times now, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience has been. We're pretty protective of our dogs (and not everyone feels comfortable with two XL Great Pyrenees) so we asked if we could tour the facility before committing to board. Not only was Mr. Jim more than happy to show us around, we learned about how he cares for the dogs, opened every door and showed us every process, and answered all of our questions and was beyond welcoming. Our pups thoroughly enjoy their stay, and hardly want to leave! This is our go-to boarding place now and at the risk of it becoming too popular to board our pups, we recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful, attentive, and secure place to board your dogs! read more

We rarely board our dogs, but this place came highly recommended. Jim is amazing and he took such great care of our 3 dogs. They gave our dogs the treats, food, and other items that we sent. Jim quickly responds to messages and offers an incredibly fair price. I highly recommend his boarding facility and will use his services in the future. read more

What a wonderful kennel! We brought our two dogs, Banx and Maggie, to stay with Starla for a few days while in the area. They are back home today and they are pooped! Starla has a WONDERFUL facility. Each dog (or set of dogs if siblings) have their own area that includes a run. She lets all the dogs out multiple times a day in a completely fenced in area with multiple sections. She never puts dogs together in one area unless they come from the same house and get along. Starla is sweet as can be and really took great care of our pups. Banx and Maggie will definitely be vacationing here again!! read more

I took my 6 year old shepherd mix there over labor day weekend and it was his first time to be boarded so I was a little nervous. I had absolutely nothing to fear! Jim, the owner, lives on the property and has wonderful amenities and a HUGE playing area where he also does training. My dog, whose only experience in a kennel is when he gets his teeth cleaned and during those times he turns into Cujo, wasn't in any hurry to go home when I picked him up. He ran right past me for the toys! It was a wonderful experience and at only $20 a night you can't beat the deal. You can tell Jim really enjoys playing with the dogs, I would recommend anyone to the dog spot! read more

We boarded our two dogs for 10 days in August. This was the first time we boarded our 4 yr old baby (Brussels). We were so happy when we got home. Jim spoiled our dogs and we had no worries while we were away. It rained every day while we were gone and they were rinsed off before we picked them up. If I could give this place a zero I would. Over memorial day weekend we boarded our pekingnese and a 6 month old pitbull pup there. My pup was absolutely fine when we dropped him off. Picked him on Monday and he was non weight bearing on his left back leg. She says "oh he is fine, he must have got a "stone bruise" on his paw, I saw it when it happened". Something I've never heard of. At any rate I ended up having to take him to our vet because 3 days later he still wouldn't put weight on his leg and was clearly in pain. My pup suffered a trauma injury resulting in a fracture to his left back leg and at that time vet was talking about surgery. I immediately called Starla to give her the news. I was of course very upset but very professional with her. She acted like she was genuinely concerned. However, the next time I called her she wouldn't answer. She finally texted back with "read your contract". Which I already had. She clearly was negligent as she never called me when the accident happened. And she diagnosed my pup without consulting a vet which she had my vet info as well. Thankfully my pup hasnt had surgery as of yet but went thru a month worth of treatment. He will never be totally healed and will eventually have arthritis in that leg. Little less than a thousand dollars later and this facility refuses to admit responsibility. For this reason I will never board my dogs again. read more
