You could walk in and find a place to sit without any inconvenience. The church had many activities going on throughout the month, which was great to see. They also live stream their Sunday services. It was my first time attending Methodist church services and I really enjoyed it.

The traditional worship hymns speak closer to the holiness of God and His glory and praise, rather than "feel good" songs that only satisfy our ego and emotions. The study of the Bible in Sunday School is the "meal" for our soul; learning how to relate to our Heavenly Father with deep study of His word. The message preached by the pastor is simple and clear, based in the Bible as a whole and not just pieces of it, with deep study on the context that connects all events, not just random text verses. The KJV Bible is used and considered the best translation for English language after much study done about it. The fellowship in church is like a family: there is love and care for one another, but there's also growing and challenges to face, as our sinful human nature always tries to get the best of us. It's a place of christian like-minded people seeking to live a life of obedience to God and being a shining light with good example to others. The Children's Church ministry has the goal of preparing a child to face the world's challenges as they grow, learning that God cares for their future but also for their present with the need to learn about God early in their lives. Even though many think that children don't contribute much when they are small, Jesus has always made clear that they are very important, so the church takes the training and teaching of the children seriously. This world's distractions takes a big toll on their growth, so bringing your children to church is definitely an investment to their lives! The Missions support is a big part of the church and considered a incredible way to be part of a bigger work for the gospel reaching all over the world, knowing that who supports missions is being part of that ministry and will reap the rewards in heaven as well! I am praying that God may guide you wherever is the place you need to go in your life! He surely is interested in your journey and future!

It's hard to focus with all that going on around, but the priest is wonderful, and you can hear clearly. The church is very roomy. The choir is excellent. I tried this church because the church I normally attend has a poor sound system and you just can't hear clearly, but the church being like romper room, I'll go back to my church. If you are visiting and are used to the traditional mass, note that they do not kneel before or after communion. They also do not pass a basket around for the collection, so you walk up with the rest of the people and carry your gift to the alter.

A small caveat: I came during the second half of the service when the minister was speaking so I…read moremissed worship service. That being said, this church seems to HEAVILY involved in the community and has a lot enrichment programs. The church edifice is quite nice and spacious with a congregation on this Sunday of about 150. Now, with it being an Apostolic church (COOLJC) I was quite surprised to see all of the women's heads uncovered (even including altar workers) and female church workers wearing pants in service [not arguing; just a notice given their denomination]. People were very nice but no one really welcomed me -- perhaps they didn't notice I was a visitor, although the congregation is quite intimate. Demographic: mostly Black Americans between 30 and 70, varying socioeconomic classes. Couple hot younger guys (haha), but a fair mix of genders for the teenage and 40s/50s age groups. Small groups after altar call, at which people can be dismissed or join in for a scripture study on their theme of "Daring Faith". Overall, I deducted stars bc they weren't easily identified as an apostolic church and I wasn't welcomed at all [i even went through the wrong door bc the greeter didn't tell me where to enter].
