SPA FACILITIES: To my surprise the facilities were quite good, they must have gone through a recent renovation. The changing rooms, products provided, towels and plush bathrobe were excellent. They provided nice flip flops too, not ugly disposable ones. The changing room and showers were exceptionally clean and tidy. I have used the eucalyptus steam room prior to my massage. It was okay, the smell was relaxing but I don't think there was enough steam. I almost felt cold inside so there needs to be an improvement on that. I was pretty happy with the relaxation lounge, calming music, comfy chairs and beverage options. There was also cooling cucumber towels in one corner of the room which I loved using after the steam bath. Chicken salad served after my massage was a nice touch, although it would have been better if the chicken was actually warm. THE MASSAGE: This was my first RMT massage which I was really excited because regular massages fall short for me usually because of lack of pressure and massaging randomly. I was happy that I was able to customize it and only focus on areas I have problems with, however, I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the massage. Sometimes it was a bit like pinching. Plus we lost like 10 plus minutes in the beginning just chatting and prepping. I think if it's called a 60 min massage, the active massage time should be 60 mins. You might mention that in the beginning.

The massage itself was wonderful and service was great. I like that they provided a light snack after the treatment. It would be nice if we had more options though, instead of salad only. (something small like scones or muffins would be nice too) But can't complain about free food. The change rooms and lounge area was attended to frequently, so it was very clean.The facilities are dated and could use some refreshment, otherwise I would give 5 stars.

At the time of booking, Maria asked me if I can make it at 4pm, I said No I can not, I have to drop off my child at 4 and the earliest I can make is 4:15. She said no problem come! I even double checked "That's okay right? What time do you close? How long are the treatments? I can always come another time." Wanting to ensure that 4:15 still work for her 6pm closing time. She assured me that 4:15 was fine. So I booked my babysitter and I showed up right on time. When I got to the front, the receptionist was puzzled. Clearly Maria is with someone else. He went upstairs to check with her "Sorry, Maria said you were 15 minutes late so she took another client instead." What? In this short 15 minutes, she deemed me late and was able to get another client so quickly?? How is that even possible? Firstly, we specifically had that conversation about timing so how did she have me as 4pm? Secondly, if it was an honest mistake thinking I truly should have came at 4 instead and that I was late, it would be professional to call the client to check? Maybe when that other client walked in while you were contemplating taking them and cancelling me? That would be a nice time to let me know I shouldn't be coming anymore? No call, nothing. So incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to simply take another client and ditch another without even coming out to address the issue. The receptionist was very apologetic "I am so sorry about what Maria did, there's nothing I can do as she only rents the room with us..." the way he said it alluded as if it's not the first thing this has happened. Even if it was truly an honest mistake, as a business owner there just is a respectful way to treat your clients with integrity. You could have called to cancel me, you could have called to check in with me, you could have came out to address this with me, and you could have even not blamed it on me saying I was late and therefore you took a client. You simply took a client and lacked integrity. Hugely Disappointed. I just went back to my child, picked her up and say forget it to my spa day.

I spend 2 hours with her and don't have 1 complaint about her services. I have had many spa services in the past but I must say, never such a great and peaceful experience than as with Bal. I left her room feeling very rejuvenated, relaxed and ready to face the day. I would not hesitate to book a future spa appt. with Bal. Thuy the RMT is amazing at addressing any concerns and offers stretches to help with issues after. Tried out the new location in Langley. Spa is beautiful. Super bright and airy and big too. Booked RMT- unable to book online but was able to book via email with response promptly. RMT is only through one therapist which is only on Tuesdays... bummer, I hope there will be more options later since places like Spautopia has many RMTs so it's easy to have a spa date. Lounge is beautiful- so bright ... only wish there was an option for it to be dimmer for a more relaxing... nap inducing experience. There's some snacks and water/tea availab Massage was lovely. Change room is big- was a bit odd there was no body wash but shampoo and conditioner in the shower stall. Sauna is small but complimentary to use with appointments.

They are to the point, which is not very "Canadian," but they are not rude. I appreciate the honesty, because who wants to leave a salon/spa not looking their best?! A good place to go for multiple treatments.

I like my soaking water hot, but initially it was so hot, I would've sustained third degree burns if I had submerged my feet in the tub (no exaggeration!). Thankfully the lovely technician quickly cooled it way down for me when I asked her to. (I wish I remembered her name. She was very nice!). The whole experience felt very indulging and personal. I was alone in the salon, as there were. no other customers there. The lotions and potions used all smelled divine. The leg massage was divine. The warm paraffin application was divine. I wished it never ended. LOL! When all was said and done, my feet looked and felt wonderful and my toenails were painted great.

Could have been a one time deal, but maybe they still honour it, I'm not sure! I got in and the staff were so lovely. The spa is gorgeous... The owner is this beautiful lady and she was the perfect person to see for my injections since I was getting them in my jaw line to reduce jaw clenching pain and to thin out the jaw line. She really knew what she was doing. Her assistant was the sweetest guy ever and we laughed a lot. 2 weeks later, my jaw is no longer in excruciating pain and my face is looking more thin. Takes 3-6 weeks to experience the full effect. Would totally recommend this place for Dysport injections!

Not once during the massage did she ask if the pressure was okay. She clearly did not want to be there and it reflected in the lack of experience I received. I'm not one to complain so I said nothing, but it really stinks spending money AND LEAVING A 15% TIP for something that was awful. I'll revisit this hotel but not this spa. Hopefully they can figure out what needs addressed and improve their overall satisfaction.

It was only about 65 minutes not 90 minutes as they said. Cost $110 plus tax and tips $130. 50.
