How this averages 3 stars is beyond me. It should absolutely be more. For comparison, another (closer) Kroger has less than 25% of the selection of products/brands, is not clean, the parking lot is too small and absolutely terrifying and gets 2.5 average... Something is awry with this location being close in stars to that one. There is just no comparison. While I was shopping, my smile -which you couldn't see behind my mask- told it all... I bet I was smiling so big passers-by could see as my eyes were beaming with joy. Great cheese, produce and alcohol section are the first things I experienced walking through the store. Other things I noticed is that they have a larger than normal grocery store kitchen supplies section and a clothing department. Small complaint that the prescription drive through is not often open. I'm more likely to pair shopping with a prescription pick up so the indoor pharmacy is ok with me, but my husband will run for prescription only, which makes the drive thru a nice feature to have. Hopefully they can start to staff the drive thru regularly someday!

It was valid for one free Tillamook ice cream product (up to $8.99). When I tried to use it at the self checkout, it wouldn't scan. An employee came over to help and said he needed to check with customer service. When he returned, he told me they don't accept coupons "from that website." I explained that the coupon came directly from Tillamook, but he couldn't tell me why it wasn't accepted. At that point, the checkout lines were getting longer, and I didn't want to hold everyone up, so I just removed the ice cream from my order and completed the rest of my purchase. I've never had an issue redeeming manufacturer coupons before, so I was surprised by this experience. I'm wondering if it was because the coupon was for a free item. Has anyone else had problems using Tillamook coupons at this store?

It was a patch but, it was also caught that a previous auto visit put a large amount of weights on another tire unnecessarily. I appreciated the attention to detail. They do seem to have a bigger selection of some items like sauces and international items than I've seen at other stores. I haven't had any issues with finding the products I want when shopping. The biggest issue is how much trash is in the parking lot. Nothing like straddling a stranger's trash in the parking lot to load groceries into your car. Inside the store is clean, organized, and stocked. I haven't seen this at any other business in the area so I'm not sure what's happening here.

So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)

Obviously, the stores are nowhere near as big as the supermarkets, however, they do provide a nice selection of items. Obviously not as broad of a selection, but they certainly have everything you would need from a market. I like coming here to get vegetables and fruit, as well as when I just need to grab a few things on the way home. I cook with a lot of varied vegetables; dishes from around the world. Fresh Thyme makes that easy. The app is... meh. But Fresh Thyme will deliver groceries shopped for online. While the substitutions have been somewhat hit-or-miss, I'm housebound, waiting for a new hip, so this has been incredibly helpful. The shoppers have also been universally communicative and friendly. Not sure if I like all the liquid but I did like the flavor. And it was only 200 calories. If you've never had a cake like this I would definitely recommend trying it. And they had other flavors if chocolate isn't your thing. Would also recommend going to the customer service desk and signing up for a Kroger card so you can get the sale items. Only takes a few minutes to fill out the paper.
