This is a great spot for random looking and browsing. You can always find something if maybe not what you came to get. I found a nice sports coat and shirts for my husband and a few sundry just because. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is a nice place to just browse. I like this business overall. You never know what you will find inside, some days they have some good finds and other days they don't. The store proceeds go to support those in need in our community by providing nutritious foods to people who need it. This a St Vincent de Paul thrift store. I shop in here about every 6 weeks and they put out new inventory often. As with every thrift store you will not always find something you like. They have men's and women's clothes, dishes, craft items, home decor, and furniture. Their selection of furniture is usually very nice and at reasonable prices. If you need help with anything there is always someone around to help you. They also carry glass items for the kitchen as well as plates, dinnerware, utensils. I found all of the dishes for my daughter's wedding here. Stop in and support your community. They also have a rewards program you can join so the every spend you get a little back for the next trip. read more

I have shopped at both Mission 27 store locations. The Leota Street store is fine - no problems; I am treated politely and I enjoy shopping here. The Shelby Street store is another story. The ladies who work here are the rudest store employees I have ever encountered anywhere. There is one woman in particular who never smiles and never says a kind word to anyone. She has been rude to me personally and told me that I wasn't putting things back in their proper place. And she has been rude to other customers. She once accosted a woman who entered the store with a loud and accusatory "may I help you." (Her "may I help you" means that you're doing something she doesn't like.) Maybe there was some history between the two women, but there was no reason to treat the customer that way. Another time, a man asked the price for an item that was missing a tag. After the man left, she said, in a voice that customers could hear, that the man probably took the price tag off himself. She had no evidence that he had done this. Yet another time she spoke in a rude voice to a mentally challenged young man who works at the store telling him to "get busy." The management needs to do something about this ugly situation. read more

One of my coworkers told me about Mission 27 Resale. I liked her shoes she had on. She said she got them at Mission 27 Resale. They have two locations one on Leota St. and this location on Shelby St. This was my first time to this location I've been to the Leota location a couple of times. This location has a coffee shop right when you walk in "Holy Grounds Coffee" and lots of parking. They have a donation drop off area at the back of the building also. In this trip I purchased a dress and a JR Watson lemon soap that had a Target seal on it. You never know what you will find on a trip and that's the fun part about it! Mission 27 Resale is run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This is an international organization of men and women who believe in service to those who are in need or suffering. The stores saying is "the products are upscale in quality and look, but not in price!" I find that to be true. The money that the stores receive goes to the society's food pantries as well as the Changing Lives Forever Campaign, which teaches people how to lift themselves out of poverty. This is from the website, "Good things for good purpose - it's not just about giving new life to used items. It's about giving a better life to those in need." This is the nicest cleanest thrift store I've ever been too. When u walk in it doesn't smell musty it's smells clean haha. They have new stuff that's still in its original package and then they have the regular thrift stuff items. They have lots of clothes some furniture and home stuff. I would definitely come back often to see when they bring new stuff in. This time I didn't find anything that caught my eye. Oh and also they have a nice little coffee shop! soo cool . Plenty of parking that's always very important to me because if parking is difficult to find I won't shop at those certain places. read more

I was in the area and have been seeing this store for awhile so decided to stop by. They mainly have donated items including housewares, clothing, and they have overfill products from places like Target. The store is very large and everything is well organized. I found a vintage set of playing cards with Indianapolis photos for $2. As with any thrift store, clothing and shoes can be hit or miss. It's worth checking out. read more

I'm torn about this review. The store was a great space very clean and nicely laid out. The windows give the store a bright open feeling. Items were priced extremely reasonable. The issue I have is with Catholic Charities. They are notorious for excluding the LGBTQ population out of religious bigotry. I didn't know this was a St Vincent De Paul when My Husband suggest we go look. From the outside it is a very cool trendy up-to-date building. So shop don't shop. I know money goes toward helping some people in need. Maybe just not the LGBTQ ones. read more

First time going to the new Mission 27. My mother volunteers here and she told me I would love it especially because they have a cafe ;) I loved the modern look that this Mission 27 has, the light fixtures drew me in and it gives me modern industrial vibes. I enjoyed the variety of music that they played as I searched through the aisles looking for tunics for this Fall. I of course found so many cute Fall tops and sweaters to wear. I can't wait to go back because I want to try something from the cafe. read more

Mission 27 is my favorite place to burn an hour on a Saturday morning. They have damaged box goods from Target so I can always find deals on cleaning products and travel size hygiene products. I prefer the interesting decor and housewares over the clothes, but if you have a thrift-shop costume in mind this is a good place to check. Some of the items are just overstock, not preowned. There is a little coffee and baked goods cafe in the store but I've not been before- it looks cute! Staff is very nice. Plenty of parking lot space. Clean and organized. read more

Mission 27 is the best store to go to when you don't know what you want, but are in the mood to explore. On my last trip here, I left with 2 new dishes, a bottle of unopened Seventh Generation bathtub cleaner, yoga pants, unopened shaving cream, and a pack of balloons. This store receives donations from large stores in the area, making it the perfect treasure hunt for well known unused brand named items at a strong discounted price. This store is well organized, spread out, clean, and easy to social distance shop in. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, too! read more

Unfortunately you can't shop here with your hoodie on your head even though your face is exposed I don't understand why my head being covered is an issue (personal issues why I wear my hoodie on) lady said it's there policy meanwhile 3 of the workers have hats on smh I walked out that's ridiculous I was at the other location shopping a couple minutes ago with my hoodie on and NOBODY said anything or had a problem about it! read more

I absolutely love Mission 27. The staff is great and always willing to go above and beyond to help you. I love the fact that they have so many different items every time I go there. You never see the same things, so if I like something, I grab it because I know if I wait and think about it that it will be gone when I go back. The greatest part is that I know with every purchase I'm helping them with their mission to feed and clothe those who truly need the food pantries and clothing drives that they provide. It's their mission as a nonprofit charity and they really do a great job with their charity mission. If you go once you'll be hooked and know you're also doing your part for charity. read more
