She stopped what she was doing to take me to where they were. It was a good distance away. I asked another employee, Jess, for help finding Hard Cider. Same thing. Stopping what she was doing just to help me. Finally, the cashier Amanda, went above and beyond to put rubber bands around my cakes, double bagged the heavier groceries then used a Wegman's Card that would save me money. None of these ladies had to go the extra mile. But they did! Hats off to these ladies. I will be going back again!!

Fast forward a couple years later, and ALDI starts popping up all over Hampton Roads. Praise the Lord! Now, there are certain things I will still continue to buy at other markets, just because I think their store brand or the name brand tastes better, but I always do the bulk of my grocery shopping here. I'm sure I could find better deals on some items at another store, but I simply don't have time to coupon or cost compare. The prices here are outstanding, especially for organic produce and dairy as well as meat and frozen foods. Bonus: they have Blue Bell ice cream! My recent love affair is with Aldi's curbside pickup. The online website for pickup or delivery is easy to navigate, there's no additional fee, and it saves me so much time (and in store toddler meltdowns). Once you get to the store, check in through the text message link, and they'll load your groceries in no time flat. Oh aldi, how I love thee!

The store is not hard to navigate either, but sometimes items can be hard to find, or online might say it is in stock when it isn't. Sometimes the meats section does seem a bit limited on precut meats, but we are not that picky usually. I do wish they did have a bigger variety of ethnic items. My main gripe is that sometimes the self checkout can get pretty backed up, mainly because the machines always error out and there is only one employee usually assigned to self checkout. It does seem like they could use another section of self checkout machines, maybe even an express line aside from self checkout.
