Even their brands are higher than other brands. The store also isn't the cleanest Ive been in and the last two times I have been in there the cashiers didn't know certain items were on sale so I got charged then had to wait for someone to come clear the charges off. This store needs new management or something. A lot of people use it because they have no way of getting to anywhere else but if you can go elsewhere it is worth your drive and money to do so!

There is a reason that the parking lot is empty and it does not matter time or day, you are quarenteed to be able to park right up front. When I first moved to Citronelle 18 years ago, me and the wife loved their fried chicken, but now it's so soggy you could literally ring the grease out. There was a time they were decent but something changed and they have just been going down hill. If you go expect to not find what your looking for. As for their customer service, your better off asking a customer the question at least than, even if they don't know the answer they will at least be respectful. I made the mistake of asking 1 of the stockers or should say tried to ask, as I only got "excuse me sir" out of my mouth when he answered "I'm busy and don't have time to help". Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Saraland it will save you money and will be aggravation free. Even the cashier's are in no hurry, if your second in line, I hope you brought lunch with you as your going to be inline for awhile.

Rouses Market was started by Anthony Rouse, Sr. back in 1960 with a single location in Houma, Louisiana. It has since expanded to over sixty locations across three states (Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama). The thing that I like best about Rouses Market are the local items and I am always heading home with several items that I simply cannot get in Florida. I picked up some local food stuff that I can only find in Cajun country. The staff at this location was friendly and professional and this store is pleasant and welcoming. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location of Rouses Market or any Rouses Market location for that matter. If you are in the area, come check them out. I give this particular Rouses Market location five stars overall for a completely positive and upbeat shopping experience.

Again, the store has a very pleasing ambiance for a supermarket and has a great layout. Shelves were fully stocked, everything was right where it should be, and I had no trouble grabbing a few things to bring back to the campervan for breakfast, including bagels and cream cheese that toasted up nicely as we eased into the day. Checkout was quick and smooth, the sort of in and out moment that keeps the morning moving, and we were sent on our way with a warm thank you from the manager as we headed out, a small gesture that always lands well when the day is just getting started. There's a reason we keep choosing Publix. The consistency, the cleanliness, the familiar layout, and the steady friendliness of the staff all come together in a way that makes every visit feel welcoming and reliable. It really is a pleasure to shop here. [Review 305 of 2026 - 286 in Alabama - 25493 overall]

I wish I can give this place NO STARS…read more I do not recommend coming here because there is an employee here who likes to disrespect people of other ethnicity. I do not support a place who would give a job to a racist, ignorant, and uneducated person. I will tell all of my friends and family not to come here anymore. On March 27, I went in to Greer's Market at Bayou La Batre to purchase alcohol. An employee badge #8147 Register #002 Store #00016 asked for my ID, after she looked at my ID, she said to me "Hong kong." I was confused at first when she said that to me because I'm of Asian descent. I asked her what did she say again? And she said to me again, "You're driver's license says you're from Hong Kong." From my understanding, I don't see anywhere on my ID that says "HONG KONG" and it's a American Driver's License. I was born in the States and I speak Perfect English and I can understand clearly when someone is trying to think they can get away with being racist against me because maybe she assumed I can't speak English well. I told her immediately that she is a racist person and that comment was uncalled for and I don't think it was funny at all. She didn't say anything afterwards besides "omg" under her breath. She didn't even apologize for her comment. I don't appreciate being discriminated against and I also don't think Greer Employees especially the store managers care about complaints from customers at all either because I called them and they told me that the store manager wasn't in until Monday. I talked to Deborah to let me speak with the store manager who passed the phone to Sarah and Sarah told me the store manager wasn't working until Monday. She gave me the corporate's number which is (251)457-8655. I will be calling on Monday and seeing if she actually did give me the corporate's number or a fake number to try and get rid of me. ‍ Also. Employee was not Covid-compliant. Had her face mask below her chin.
