Tops is open 24 hours and this place has so many different choices, even for salad dressings! I came here to kill time to wait for my boyfriend to get off work at 11 since I got off work at 9:30. Even that late, there were still many bakery items and prepared foods. This was around the time of the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction, so I came here and got some prepared meals for the busy weekend ahead. The manager who was helping bag the groceries was very nice and friendly even though it was pretty late then. I would definitely recommend this Tops! Don't know why it has such low ratings.

During the winter months, its short staffed, due to low traffic volume. Cooperstown is a seasonal place, busy in the summer and dead in the winter. This store is much busier in summer, and the quality of help, the amount of stock, and level of service improve, since more business = more hours to run the business. Plenty of parking, next to other businesses, so its a nice little shopping center. You can get a lot of things in one trip without driving all over. Not crowded or congested like it is driving into town, where one cannot get around easily in the summer months due to the tourist influx.

Was making a dish tonight, had my sauce all prepared, opened up the package of chicken and started to put the chicken thighs in when the most grotesque odor hit my nose that I nearly threw up. The chicken was absolutely beyond rotten. I check every date on anything I buy at that store because I've ended up with dozens and dozens of spoiled product. I didn't know you actually had to unwrap the chicken to smell it now too! Of course, all this resulted to me having to remake the sauce, which cost me more money and time, and had to go back to that miserable store and get the chicken replaced. Did they offer to cover the cost of the other ingredients I lost because of the spoiled chicken? Of course not they just hand me back my $8.52 from the spoiled package of chicken. I wish I could give this place negative stars and avoid it 100% but sadly they're the only grocery store within 20 miles and they print money because of the tourists so they have zero motivation to change or get better.
