It was immaculately clean, huge and packed out with merchandise. A swanky, dedicated artisan cheese section, salad bar, etc, etc. Everything was automated, the employees seemed fine, plenty of parking, etc, etc. I'm not sure what all the hate is about, but I LOVE this Shoprite. Compared to my local Shoprite on Mantua Blvd, this place is like the Taj Mahal. I wish it were closer.

If you forget, just walk in and get change from someone at a register. Put it in the slot, free your cart and you'll get it back when you return it. Btw, they don't have baskets. D. Get used to their warehouse-fluorescent look...most items are displayed in the boxes they were delivered in, but hey it's another reason why we're saving! E. Leave the coupons behind - they don't take them. F. They accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, most debit cards, EBT and Link cards. No personal checks or checks/vouchers for WIC. G. Get to know their hours. This location is open every day of the week from 9AM - 9PM. H. You're not going to see a huge selection of major/international brands because of their private label items. So what does that mean? Simply put, private label products are products stores put their own names on and it's what keeps your wallet from shrinking (think Trader Joes). But that doesn't mean it compromises the quality of their products. ALDI meets or exceeds equivalent National Brand items sold in other national retail chains. I. Get to know their Double Guarantee Policy. If you're not 100% satisfied they'll give you a refund and replace the item. J. Looking for the nutritional facts? ALDI displays them on the "front" of their products. K. They also carry non-food items like toys, household items, tools, outdoor items and more. Bottom line...ALDI is a unique grocery store striving to offer high quality foods at a lower cost and I commend them for breaking the norm. There was no direction of whether to order at the counter or be seated. Hubby ordered a salad that he asked for with chicken but when it came out about 45 minutes later, there was no chicken. When I ordered it, I asked for it medium rare, but it was well done when it finally appeared. Disappointing. The food tasted fine although my hubby's chicken tasted like charcoal. About a half hour after waiting, the people next to us were told there was no roast beef. They adjusted their order and got their food before us, although we ordered before them. A bit strange. While I was waiting for our food, I walked inside to see what kind of things were for sale. They had balsamic vinegar and olive oil which were nice. The vinaigrette was really good and we were told they used the balsamic from it. However, on the shelves in the back, there was a cruddy jar of something that no one would buy. I picked it up not realizing it but put it back. I am adding a picture of the flowers. They were very nice. They should put some work into fixing the signs around that were peeling.
